We should include him in the Modric deal.

Norfolkblue

Agree1 Disagree0

Spurs will be reluctant to sell to us, but if they want sturridge hopefully we can strike a deal

Agree1 Disagree0

Only let Sturridge go for £20m

ed002 the other day you said you would tell us all the players chelsea have had an interest in like you did on the man utd and spurs page do you have time now?

After impressing at Euro 2012, Chelsea are planning to hijack Newcastle's move for Mathieu Debuchy with a £6.2 million offer to Lille

Massive rumour we are in for Berbatov. Di matteo sees him as ideal person to get the best out of Torres. You heard it here 1st.

Ed how do Barcelona frequently get players so cheaply? Jordi Alba reportedly went to Barca for £11mil on the other hand Man U look like they will pay around £12mil for Leighton Baines. This makes no sense. Are English clubs just bad at business or does the appeal of playing for Barcelona force clubs to accept lower prices? In the BPL it is in fact the opposite as well, as for a club to sell to a league rival they demand a greater price than if they were to go elsewhere.

I made a similar post a week ago, and ed said that there are some clubs in particular that charge the richer prem clubs more. However I do see it as odd. Surely Valencia would accept the highest bid? Couldn't they just reject barca's bid and wait for a bigger one? There is no way any top prem club would not be able to match that bid or better it. Unless football really is more about politics than us fans believe.

Dave

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah, just makes no sense to me. Surely a club will look for the biggest financial gain, obviously a player's choice of club will be incorporated but it is such a huge difference in price that the club selling the player is clearly losing out. I suppose its their choice though if they want to generate less money, but, seeing as Valencia are in financial difficulties, an auction of Alba would of made more sense in my opinion.

I'm sure we bid for Falcao last summer, and he went to Athletico Madrid 2 weeks later for a smaller fee!

Ed, do you think a package of 7million and a loan spell for Patrick Bamford at Wigan would bring Moses the other way? I'm just curious, as I'm undecided whether Moses is worth that...

We have signed 2 players in hazard and marin before di matteo was givin the job and the names been thrown about in papers and gossip sites etc are names we have been associated with for some time . Ed can you see any signings actually been made by di matteo or has he not much say on who is coming in ?? {Ed002's Note - I have explained ad nauseum how the sytem works.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As I have said previously I dont think TOP players fancy playing for RDM.
Bomber

Agree2 Disagree7

Really? They won't want to play for a champions league winning manager? I didn't see lamps, drogba and terry having a problem with him last year and theyre some of the biggest names out there. Hazard must of had a idea Robbie could of been boss and he still signed. Ridiculous comment.
Marley

Agree6 Disagree2

Terry is his 'mate' they played together when Terry first got in the side. Lampard had a point to prove bcos AVB had edged him out. Drogba did as he wanted and no one can tell me he put in as much as he did in CL games as he did in others. Remember Avram Grant was only a slip away from being CL winning manager. As much as I like Hazard signing and hope he is the B****cks. Did he really know?
Bomber

Agree1 Disagree5

Course Hazard knew, RDM was never not gonna be appointed, he gave Abramovic what he's been wanting for 10 years!

Even though i would love to see Hulk in a blue shirt next season im liking the news on the Modric front. If i had to choose one it would be a hard decision to make.

How good would it be if we had a team like this next season...

Cech
Ivanovic, Luiz/Cahill, Terry, Cole
Modric, Lampard
Ramires, Hazard, Mata
Torres

Im loving the idea of this team next season woth one or two backup players coming in who we are supposedly looking at e.g shurrle, moses, and a right back.

Davies

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Why are people putting Ivanovic at RB, he does not want to play there, and may leave to seek first team CB game time.

Agree2 Disagree3

Ivanovic won't leave to play CB elsewhere! He's a far better RB compared to CB. {Ed002's Note - I think it may be a long summer worrying if he will leave.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Ivanovic agent or smething was said hes happy to cover right back, but wants to play CB. so poster 2 was right why have people disagreed? BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree0

No that's too lightweight middle. Need some muscle othewise we will get dominated against physical teams. Proitos

Agree1 Disagree1

Manchester City won the league with Aguero, Nasri, Silva, Tevez, they're all lightweight!

Hi ed, I don't expect you to name names, but with the transfer window about to open. Is there any players who are likely to sign in the next week or so.
Thanks.

Sorry ed needs to be said

FALCAO IS NOT FOR SALE!!!!

Please stop asking the same questions
Thanks

Carefree

Believable2 Unbelievable3

I think whether Falcao is for sale or not depends on how much someone is willing to pay for him.

You never know what can happen.

IB.

Well i dont see us splashing 50mil on a striker again any time soon

Ed sorry if its a silly question but what is motd fever?

irishblue

Believable0 Unbelievable0

When somebody asks if chelsea will sign a player based on the game last on tv. e.g shevchenko scoring 2 goals, then people asking if we will sign him.
