Just seen sky sports stating Madrid have made a bid 100 million for courtoise and Willian.
Take it and buy Butland and a couple of others.

More and more guess work by so called sports reporters!
When it comes to football transfers there are very few reporters worthy of our respect and trust.
The Ed’s, Matt Law on occasions and the guy in the Standard are the only people who’s views I take seriously!

I guess u mean Simon Johnson of the Standard.

Matt Law is the one that sounds like Ed002 when he speaks, you never know.

I want Morata to pan out, and I really think he will. I believe that his confidence has been shot over the past year, from his mediocre club season (albeit from injury) to being excluded from the World Cup. If he can build his confidence back up, I really think he’ll come good. What are your thoughts?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

29 Jul 2018 18:31:34
I would prefer it if we kept Morata.
For me he can become a everything we want from a centre forward but he strikes me as a fragile player who constantly needs to be appreciated.
He was carrying an injury for a lot of last season and he has been with the club through pre season while his wife has been in Venice heavily pregnant carrying twins.
She gave birth today I believe to two healthy boys!

Agree3 Disagree1

30 Jul 2018 12:47:53
Whatever Morata's issues were last season the one that kept being repeated was the fact him and his wife did not like the big city of London and with two new children I cannot see that improving. I was over the moon when we signed him and the early performances were very satisfying and then it all fell apart to the point he looked like the second coming of Torres. We have seen a hint of what he can do in the friendlies and then more flashes of what we do not want. If we get £60m offered I would take it as we do not have time to 'wait and see' which Morata turns up.

Judging on #WonderdogSparky's activity, looks like Willian is Utd bound. I expect we will see Pulisic or Bailey replace him.

Fingers and toes crossed that the Aaron Ramsey rumours circulating today are true.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

29 Jul 2018 10:33:04
I’m not a massive fan of Ramsey. So I won’t be crossing any fingers or toes!
To me, he is just a slight upgrade on Drinkwater!
We all have different views on what constitutes a good player I guess.

Agree4 Disagree2

29 Jul 2018 10:51:30
Say what you like about him but he scores goals from midfield and has been impressive against us in recent years! Could be another to leave the cosy atmosphere Wenger created at the club and push on and show more consistency. I wouldn't be opposed to it although it would be the end of RLC at Chelsea 100% and would limit Barkley's chances I would have thought.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jul 2018 11:21:01
At some stage our club and some supporters have to decide what they want.
A fit Barkley could be good for us this year and warrants a chance.
Although I’m not convinced about RLC it’s a decision the club has to make a decision? Play him, sell him, or loan him out again.
I assume Drinkwater will be sold or loaned and Bakayoko has not shown in two friendly’s this season the improvement he showed at the end of last season but I live in hope!
For me, I would love some insight into what’s going to happen to Cahill and the very absent Zouma?

Ramsey will fit very into this Sarri's system. Better we get him than Vecino. Also he's a UK citizen.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jul 2018 12:42:07
Can’t see it myself and if the Ramsey rumours are true then why did we not just get Jack Wilshire for free.

29 Jul 2018 13:26:50
Ramsey is 10x the player Wilshere is or ever will be. I'm still not sure if he's the answer though.

He would make sense.

29 Jul 2018 16:08:01
Ramsey had better minutes to goals than firminho last year, covers so much ground. Scores goals and is creative, my only issue is his size with kante and Jorginho and keeping him fit. If Ramsey was to replace drinkwater then that’s huge huge upgrade,

Wow, Jose seems to be right on time with his 3rd season meltdown, he doesn't seem happy at all, doing his usual bit about club not buying him players and he wanted 5 and may only get 1 more to add to Fred and that Sanchez probably looks unhappy due to the players he has around him and that there just trying to not get any ugly results ( lost 4-1 to Liverpool ) think he will really push for Willian but don't know if board would let him spend €70m on him at his age or martial included in some way, either way he doesn't seem happy 😃.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

29 Jul 2018 08:18:34
Jose and United are very vulnerable right now. We should take full advantage and rip them off for Willian. I don't see any way in which Jose is their manager come this time next year. He hates the place and most of the fans want him gone. It's a shame though seeing a man loved by all of us always looking to unhappy in his work. Made me smile the other week when I read on the United Banter page that many of the United board still believe he's a Chelsea man at heart! Wouldn't want him back at Chelsea as I think he's lost it a little bit but I'll forever be grateful to the man.

29 Jul 2018 11:25:23
Always be grateful to Jose but I do love listening to some of my mates who are Utd fans moan about the football, his constant moaning and his everyone else is to blame attitude.
I remember those feelings so well.

What I love the most is the United fans saying that he will change for them as it was his "dream job" when he first arrived! How wrong they were lol.

Jose has started again.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jul 2018 16:10:51
Jose hasn’t moved with the times, his ways will cause teams problems who want to play attacking but it’s dull and players ( as under conte ) don’t want to be run into the ground in training and playing boring football during the week. And critisesd in public at every opportunity. The small few he really trusts love him but others I imagine find it hard being around him.

Thoughts on yesterday's match:

Bulka is awesome with his feet for a 16 year old GK. Shame we couldn't see what he's like with his hands though as Inter offered little in the first half.

Alonso got beat by Candreva time and time again and was often out of position, both defensively and offensively. Emerson didn't look much better after coming on.

Zappacosta showed again why he shouldn't be with us. His delivery is so poor.

Jorginho is absolutely class and a wonderful signing. He sees the game in a different way to most. Can't wait to see him next to Kante.

Barkley looked sharp in the first half. If he can stay fit I see him being our more offensive midfielder in the starting 11.

Hudson Odoi is special and should be getting game time this season in the cups, Europa and even the Prem as I believe he's THAT good. Pedro looked sharp as well considering yesterday was his 31st bday! Hope he enjoyed himself.

Morata started well but then fell back into the moaning and falling over Morata we know from last season. Hopefully Sarri will get him playing better and more consistently.

I was going to comment on Bakayoko and Drinkwater but the less said the better in all honesty. One only passes sideways and backwards and slows the game down whilst the other does the exact same yet only finds the opposition!

Review Of The Day 29th July 2018

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 29th July 2018

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Jul 2018 02:33:27
ED001 and the other posters, What do you think about Bakayoko as a player. Last year when we signed him there was so much interest in him and he seemed like a coup at that time and perfect partner of Kante in midfield. But Everytime we see him now he looks lost. Is it a confidence thing or is he just not good enough for epl?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - confidence. His confidence is absolutely shot. He can make simple passes very well but his head is gone so they are going astray. Sarri is one of the better coaches in the game, he is one who has the ability to help the lad through it, so it may be that he can sort him out.}

29 Jul 2018 14:49:52
Hope you're right, Ed001. I've always been of the opinion that we see odd flashes of the player he could become (some of his upfield surges, etc) but he looks totally shot of confidence. I still have faith, but it's beginning to wear a bit thin!

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - he might never recover at Chelsea, sometimes players need a fresh start, but I think Sarri is the best bet to help him while he is there.}

28 Jul 2018 23:38:01
Good read on Everton page by Ed002 about RLC.

Chelsea open to loaning him again, but the player is doing his best to talk his way out the club completely. And they won’t stand in his way.

Interesting reading.

29 Jul 2018 02:34:05
Real shame if that ends up being the case. Really thought he could be a promising player in this system under Sarri. I do believe our fanbase has been guilty of overhyping him a lot recently, there's clearly potential in him to become a great player but he's far from being the complete package. I do fear this could be another one that could come back to bite us if he leaves permanently though. If he ends up leaving i assume we'd be looking to bring in 1 or 2 more CM's, that's if the likes of Bakayoko and Drinkwater end up leaving (Hopefully) . Just hope one of them won't end up being that Vecino lad we've been linked to, don't rate him at all.

Agree1 Disagree1

29 Jul 2018 07:14:08
I remember reading last year Chelsea would have rather kept chalobah and got rid of rlc, hopefully Sarri can talk some sense into him and make him knuckle down and prove he can make it at Chelsea.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jul 2018 07:34:41
Let him go I think he sees himself as a very big fish and the pond at Chelsea is to big
He I think wants to be the best player at a club at palaces level massaging his massive ego without much effort on his part and he would never get that at our club
He in my opinion was told he was amazing to young got rich had everyone telling him next big thing and just didn't put work in to take him to next level and other players caught up with him.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jul 2018 10:44:31
If we end up selling RLC then the decision makers are just daft. Getting rid of quality players and keep hold of average players like Drinkwater and Barkley.

The fact it is a possibility is just mental. Are we that dumb? Just give RLC a chance and everything will be fine.

28 Jul 2018 23:32:51
Chelsea fans just a thought. Would you be happy with Batshuayi, Ruben, Loftus Cheek and zouma in exchange for Pickford?
Also what’s happened to Ross haven’t seen anyone mention him for a while.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

29 Jul 2018 00:38:53
No. Unless Batshuayi was purely a loan. One more good season like Batshuayi had at Dortmund and he’d be worth more than Pickford.

Don't be silly mate. Pickford is good but all those players combined could pick us up easily £80m at least I would've thought and there's no way we would spend that on Pickford if we weren't willing to match Liverpool's offer for Alisson. RLC and Zouma- maybe, although I want Lottie-Cheek to stay.
