Or more likely Hazard or Mata will move into that position, both have played it before.

i dont understand why no one wants us to buy another striker as it would upset torres. im a big fan of nandos and i fully expect him to succeed this season but some people dont want us to bring in cavani because he would replace torres. If torres performs better then cavani then great but if cavani does better then torres then we have strenghtened our team. Why wouldnt you want that purely to keep another player happy.

Fernando of Porto is a class defensive midfielder. Chelsea have had interest in him, but it seems unlikely that he will join. I agree that Romeu has the ability to become a class midfielder,but he needs time.

well do not take me wrong but i guess we are not bringing falcao or cavani.
i guess a player like hulk, andre schurle or even loic remy from marseille will be signed as a back up to F. Torres.
As all hulk,schurle,remy can play on wing as well as striker.
CFC will not bring a striker like falcao,cavani and increase pressure on torres who is looking good in last few matches.
even if essein leaves , we wont sign any new DM.
but if essein and meireles both leaves then i guess we will bring new DM someone like m villa, tiote etc

Been to the box office today to see about Man U tickets, had a bit of a chat with one of the staff and got talking about transfers. I dont have a name printed on my shirt yet and told them im waiting till the deadline is over with then me and my son will choose a name and number. I said im thinking of getting Hazard no17 and my son said he really wants Falcao after hearing some rumors, they told us that a player is due in for talks with club representatives tomorrow evening and will be finalising a deal for the deadline, I asked a few names who it could be and they seemed to suggest it maybe Andre Schurrle.

How did all this Falcao stuff all of a sudden come up last night? It seems a bit strange that we are playing Atletico on Friday and a lot of people are saying that we have a 'renewed' interest in Falcao. Is it juat a load of BS or is there even the slimmest chance of signing him? Hope we do. He is such an intelligent striker. Superb movement and a born goalscorer.

Just to inform chelsea fans alittle more. There are "pictures" in papers of this preliminary agreement, which has been said to be signed by raul. The only thing that is abit of is that the type writing is not clearly visable so i could not read it and transerlate the doc for you lot.

Just been looking on the spurs and arsenal sites for the crack, and they all believe they will be signing every Tom dick and Harry. Makes our site look relatively mellow.
That being said, I still have a sneaky felling that we will off load 4-5 players between now and 23.59 Friday. Weather or not that means we will be looking at signing a cm as well as a CF remains to be seen. Exciting times though. I honestly think RDM is going to prove a good manager this season and that the club is stepping in the right direction.

The two signings i would like to see before the deadline are Yann M'Villa and Theo Walcott. M'Villa would replace Miereles and Essien while Theo would bring us cover not only on the RW but also as a CF/ST. He is quick, he is a good finisher and has EPL experience, if he is available for the quoted £12m then i think he would be a real good bit of business.

keith (dynamo ) I have been a life lng fan of chelsea and have watch them at there best and worst , the tv pundits like alan hansan annd others anoy me as they talk out of the back of there head , for example years ago chelsea played liverpool and beat them and instead of praising chelsea up he said liverpool had an off day well they must have lots of off days if they can't even make the top 5 in the league . chelsea slip up last year and finished 6th but the still won the fa cup and the champions league so the season wasn't a disaster

I got question for u guys, rumours are that Essein or mereiles will go? Who do u want to stay and go? I live Essein but his not player he was and mereiles has a good game then crap game so I dunno
Personally if it was one or the other, I think Essien should be moved on. He was absolute class a few years ago but after two spells out with anterior cruciate ligament damage, you have to wonder whether he will ever get back to a level anywhere near that again. RM is a good squad player, as he proved on Saturday.
I think one will leave at any rate, which should give Romeu a better shot at getting back in the team.

In my opinion Schürrle is the best option for Chelsea. At 22 he is at the right age and would not expect first team action at the start which in turn means Torres does not become unsettled. I don't think we have the depth upfront without another signing or Chelsea will use piazon more on the bench.

So if Chelsea do sign another striker. Do you think they will play with two up top or bench one of the two. If that striker was slightly younger, say schurrle or jovetic, I say play the 4-3-3 for the time being. But if that striker is cavani or falcao or hulk, I wouldn't want to see them or Torres on the bench. But then again Chelsea aren't used to the 4-4-2 formation. What do you guys think?

I would play with one holding midfielder rather than two. If we have Bertrand as a left winger too this offers more defensive cover. It depends who we were playing though for big teams like United I would play with two holding mids.
