FT9

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Unrealistic, it would cost too much.

Agree3 Disagree1

Torres needs replacing hate to say it...

Agree3 Disagree5

It's impossible you can't sit both terry and ivanovic(spelling) at the same time and it also a bit realistic we will buy hulk with such a amount it's too much...anyway we need a good team a whole lot of talented players and i believe we will do it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Possibly replace Snjeider with Moura and Pato with Hazard. Cheaper more realistic?

FT9, original poster

Agree2 Disagree1

You mean your not going to raid lfc again this year..lets think..you can have maxi and kuyt for a knock down prive to you of say 25m

Agree3 Disagree0

Players In:

Hulk-£45million
Snjeider-£35million
Cesar A-£12million
Moura-£22million

Total-£114million

Players Out:

Malouda-£8million
Kalou-£8million
Lampard-£10million
Drogba-Free
Bosingwa-Free

Total- £26million

So a big spend of £88million and we would have a truly amazing team. The only question is will Roman back a big summer spending spree again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Problem with Snjeider is that hes 27/28 and will have no resale value plus he wants wages of 160k a week, its a huge outlay on a player and with pato great talent but hes had some bad injury problems.

PB

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sorry but this is totally unrealistic. Buying Pato, Hulk and Sneider? First of all i understand that the club has no interest in Sneider. He offers nothing more or different to Mata. Pato - i guess we had chances in the past and never actually went for him. Can't see it happening. Hulk? I guess it depends if AVB stays.

If he does, though, i would expect him to play 4-2-3-1. But i doubt we will still see Torres in blue. What a waste of talent and mega millions.

For one - lets quit this crap with trying to buy all the Brazilian youth set-up.

Agree0 Disagree1

Moura 22m? double that and you have a chance. We wont buy snjeider I am positive, and Hulk will be around 50. I personally think our realistic signings if we make top 4 will be moura/hamsik, Higuan and Azillipueta.

{Ed022's note - brand new player profile on Eden Hazard of Lille. Linked with Chelsea in recent times. www.player-profiles.co.uk - thanks all.}

Chelsea need to forget hulk and go for Lucas Moura and Lucas Ocampos. More time left in them and boundless amounts of talent. Would probably cost less than Hulk together too.

hi Ed. Who's contracts are actually up at the end of the season? {Ed001's Note - this is the Premier League players out of contract at the end of the season: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/suche/detailsuchespieler/suche.html?searchId=12842 I couldn't find a way to get it down to just Chelsea's players.}

Eden Hazard ( Lille ) to Chelsea?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Ed do Chelsea have a better chance of getting Eden Hazard than spurs do? {Ed013's Note - If what is written is true then Spurs have made enquiries already, but if Chelsea did make an offer and he had the choice I would say it all depends on who offers the more money. Point to think about also is that both clubs may have a different manager next season and therefore he may wait to see how that develops}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whilst Real Madrid or Barcelona remain his preferred destination PSG, Chelsea, Spurs, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem (primarily related to previously well-publised issues). However, Chelsea have recently discussed the player with Lille and a firm offer by Chelsea is still very much a possibility. Arsenal spoke with Lille before the last summer window and, I am told, proposed a "derisory number" and suggested taking the player would be a risk. Bayern Munich apparently remain very keen on Hazard but the player is seemingly not interested in a move to Germany. Inter would find the transfer fee too high and their only hope would be a part-ownership deal with some cash and a player or two moving to LIlle. Spurs are interested but may need the price to drop significantly to make a move viable. PSG would have the money available but again the player does not want such a move. I really don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter, although with other clubs frustrated at his questionable attitude means it is getting harder to tell where he will end up.}

I'm worried that if City don't win the title, Mancini will be sacked and replaced with Jose. God they would be awesome with him in charge.

KP

Agree6 Disagree0

Id rather Man City, at the minute we're competing with both for the top players. Regarless of if Man City win it or not, they will still get top players purely on the money they offer. If Man United DONT win it, and the top players are interested in moving to Manchester, i would assume they might prefer the blue half due to more money and them being champions. Hopefully giving United less power in the market, which would be better for us considering theres no point trying to compete with city anyway.

I think it will be a case of Us, United, Spurs and Arsenal fighting it out for who City dont want anyway, so if united dont win it we could well be equally, or maybe even slighty more lucrative than them (the london factor) for potential buys. Ideally (not likley) we want Castle in the top 4 along with us, City and United, basically giving Spurs and Arsenal less power in the market than us.

Lots of speculation though, a LOT is depending on the top four this year, if Liverpool dont get in i think they'll struggle for a few years getting back in, Likewise with Spurs, they may struggle holding on to there players , plus the Harry situation, same with Arsenal, how would they replace RVP (assuming he leaves if they dont get in top 4)

I think longterm we could take the hit of not getting top 4 a lot better than others, got good young players signed early, plus roman isnt scared of putting his hand in his pocket. Assuming short and longterm that both manc clubs will be top 4, that leaves us, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal, i cant see the remaining 2 places swapping much so i think whoever is 'in' this year stands a great chance of staying 'in'. We could really do with us being in there and one of the others tailing off

What would everyone elses odeal top 4 be

Hi ed is there any news on chelsea selling fernando torres to atletico madrid as part of the falcao deal and do u think we wil swap sturridge for walcott. {Ed013's Note - I have heard rumour of a possible swap option with different clubs and the most unbelievable one is a swap for Walcott. Again this is all rumour as Torres is receiving a lot of backing from inside the club and they would not want to lose a massive chunk of the 50 million paid. Atletico may be interested but can they afford him?}

Trying to be as realistic as is possible here is how I think / would like the Chelsea first team squad will look come the start of next season…

GOALKEEPERS…
Petr Cech, Ross Turnbull, Matej Delac

Hilario to move on, Matej Delac to return from loan and replace him fighting with Ross Turnbull to backup Petr Cech; Thibaut Courtois to be recalled if needed.

DEFENDERS…
John Terry, David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Ashley Cole, Ryan Bertrand, Sam Hutchinson

The continued interest in Cesar Azpilicueta will result in his signing. Jose Bosingwa, Paolo Ferrreira will no longer be playing at Chelsea next season.

MIDFIELDERS…
Michael Essien, Oriol Romeu, Ramires, Frank Lampard, Josh McEachran, Jack Rodwell, Juan Mata, Lucas Moura, Lucas Paizon, (right winger?)

Rodwell signed to form part of the first team squad but will have to work hard to make impact on first 11, Lucas Moura can play right wing but another right winger will be needed. The awful Raul Meireles, Jon Obi Mikel and Florant Malouda will all move on.

FORWARDS…
Radamel Falcao, Didier Drogba, Daniel Sturridge, Salomon Kalou

Torres plus cash to be offered to At. Madrid for Radamel Falcao who will be our number 1 striker, Didier Drogba to finish season strong and sign extension to current deal; Daniel Sturridge to remain but depending on signings he may still be used predominately on the right. I don’t like it but Saolmon Kalou will be offered a new deal and remain as a squad player.

NOTABLE PLAYERS OUT ON LOAN…
Thibaut Courtois (At. Madrid), Thomas Kalas (Vitese Arnhem), Kevin De Bruyne (Premiership club), Lukaku (Premiership Club), Nathniel Chalobah (Premiership / Championship club) Billy Clifford (Premiership / Championship Club)

Believable4 Unbelievable5

I wouldnt have any of the 4 strikers mentioned, moura is 10 time better centrally, kakuta left wing, hazard right mata behind torres

Agree2 Disagree2

For a team that Sevirely lacks pace and creativity i dont think Jack Rodwell and Lucas Moura is enough, Jack Rodwell is a defensive minded midfielder with an ok short range passing game, he brings nothing new than what we dont have in Romeu or McEachran, we need a world class CAM and Moura could be that but we need at least 1 world class winger and another back up winger like a Junior Hoilett who is a free in the summer.

Plus i like Falcao but why would Athletico want to swap arguably their best player for arguably one of our worst?

PB

Agree1 Disagree2

I would see Rodwell as a replacement for Meireles and Obi Mikel, strictly a squad player! It wouldn't be the perfect transfer but, for some reason, I can see it happening! Perhaps I wasn't clear about Lucas Moura, he is clearly best in te middle but when you watch his highlights he does a lot of good stuff on the right and can fill in there when needed! A right winger is probably needed but I can't see it being Hazard. Not sure who else this could be but I don't think Junior Hoilett is for Chelsea!

Re. Falcon...At. Madrid are really struggling for European Football next season; Falcao will want at least Europa League football (at least) thus he may seek a move anyway! A move to bring Torres back to At. Madrid would be a huge PR move by their board as he remains a living god with the fans!

13

Agree0 Disagree1

Kakuta?...from what he has done during his loans do you really think he is good enough for our first team / starting 11? Although I said I don't see Junior Hoilett as a player for Chelsea he would be a 100x better option that Kakuta...that boy lives on the reputation the scandal around his signing caused!!

13

Agree0 Disagree0

Kakuta current loan is going well mate, im not saying he's first team but he shouldnt be dismissed as quickly now as he was 6 months ago, he's starting to become an option

SHED END

While i'm one of the people who think that mereiles should not be starting i think its unfair to call him awful while hes being played out of position all the time

Chelsea have 12 league games left this season; we probably need, at least 27 points from those games to have a chance at a top four finish! An Arsenal fan posted on here, half jokingly, stating that we could both catch Spurs; if this is going to happen the next three games are huge! As always when trying to predict what's going to happen this is full of ifs, buts and maybes but... Spurs play Man Utd (h), Everton (a) and then visit the Bridge. I fancy them to drop points against both Man Utd and Everton. Our two games before the huge game at the Bridge against Spurs are...West Brom (a) and Stoke (h)! The chase is firmly on, should beat both West Brom and Stoke which makes the Spurs game at the Bridge a (what is it they say on MOTD) 'six-pointer'; anyone fancy cooking the Spurs first team a nice lasagne, or two?

On another note, should Torres somehow hit say 8 - 10 goals in the remaining games of the season...does he stay or go?

13

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Torres scoring goals lol

Agree2 Disagree3

It looks good in theory, but i dont think West Brom away is a gimmie, they just put 4 past Sunderland, I think its a massive game for everyone, win it and we should push on and be fine, lose it and we're in a bit of trouble i reckon, Good news for me is its one of my local away games, won 3-1 there last year id give me weeks wage for the same result

SHED END

Torres aint gunna score for fun untill we have the right player on the wings and behind him simple as
