Little bit early for this, but.

Where would you like to see us strengthen in January?

I think priorities are:

- A proven central striker to replace Morata positionally and take the pressure off Hazard

- A young winger with loads of potential to join the rotation for Pedro/ Hazard/ Willian. Probably Zaha is my first choice.

Defence is a really hard choice. Dave and Alonso are great but they aren't Mendy and Walker. They are not good crossers of the ball. I feel like we should get a decent young rightback and rotate with Dave for 'easier' games against lower league and cup opposition. If Kennedy improves his defensive side, he could rotate with Alonso on the left when he returns for next season.

Also, I love Luiz but don't fully trust him. We need a ball playing defender who is better positionally. Ampadu is a fantastic passer but is 2-3 years off starting. Christensen is a squad player currently and doesn't have that commanding presence that Terry had. We need a Sergio Ramos basically. Any ideas?!

Emerson is far better than Kenedy.

Someone who’s special at 1v1 and can go past a player as too much on hazard imo, striker to score 20 + goals. morata I don’t think will.

Bailey/ Zaha to replace Willian both can beat a man. But so can Hudson-Odoi? I’d like Ghoulam as LB but dealing with Napoli is hard and he is coming back from injury. Not sure what RB’s are available that are any good, suggestions? I’ve heard Wigan fans have been very impressed with Reece James so far.

Ghoulam would've been a very good addition if he didn't get that injury, i'd see him as too much of a risk imo. Also i don't think we'll ever be doing bussiness with Napoli anymore. We need better fullbacks and a RW, Gullit said it best about our system. The fullbacks we have aren't quick enough for this system and are too slow in supporting our attack which ends up slowing everything down. Alonso's been clutch for us so far but it's pretty obvious he still has flaws. You can see how vital Mendy and Walker are in City's system in providing instant width for the attack, we don't have that. Also like Martin said we need a winger who can take people on but can also create and score. Willian is good at getting past players but his final ball is poor, in the Newcastle game he had a brilliant and simple opportunity to play Giroud through but he never looked up and kept dribbling forward. It will take time though of course to get the right players in and i don't expect it to happen in January. Hopefully next summer we'll see a couple more additions to take the team to the next level.

For now I would like us to reinforce the winger position (right wing- where Pedro/ Willian plays with Pulisic or Leon Bailey but I guess that would mean Willian leaving) ; and D. Luiz's position. Luiz hasn't done badly so far but I don't completely trust him yet (I hope he proves me wrong as the season progresses) . At the moment, i would only replace Morata with Icardi or Lewandowski- if not Morata should stay.

I think Emerson could be a great LB for us and think he deserves a chance before we look to buy a new one. Definitely need another RB though to replace Zappacosta and challenge Azpilicueta. I like our CB options for the season but come next summer Luiz and Cahill will probs need to be moved on so we can look again there. definitely need a RW to take the pressure off Hazard. I think we can wait til next summer for a striker. So imo we should only be targeting a RB and a RW in January.

In response to TomB's post about club transparency:

I actually think Chelsea are better than most at communicating. For example, when Emelano came on CTV to explain their reasoning behind sacking Mourinho for the second time. They didn't need to do that but knew it would help silence any grass roots dissent.

Re: RA selling the club. There's no way they'd talk to us about deals that were currently in negotiation. The press are always sniffing for blood around Chelsea and certain newspapers can't stand us. If they kept everyone constantly updated with the ins and outs of deals, we would be constantly in the headlines and the clubs form would suffer as players and manager would understandably have their heads turned with all the uncertainty. While
I agree transparency is a good thing, it's definitely best to leave announcements to the public until the ink has dried on any such deal.

Dan my comments about lack of transparency and taking supporters for granted wasn’t only about our club, it was football clubs in general.

I would not expect our club to give us a list of their transfer targets or to give us any details about any proposed sale of our club but I would like them to participate in an open dialogue about non playimg issues.

To say we are more transparent than most clubs may well be true but I don’t care about other clubs.

Football supporters still contribute a significant financial sum to our respective clubs and in most cases we are taken for granted.

I guess is be because clubs know, that no matter what happens, the majority of supporters will almost always turn up on match days.

The only thing that is loyal in football are the fans nothing else.

Maybe not the only thing Loko but most football fans are very loyal. Your point is well made!
