A great result but more importantly it is the way we set out to attack and dominate play whereas we used to go out defensively and try and pinch a win. The Hazard and Morata combination can only get better as the season unfolds which brings one to our back-up, Bats. Anyone scores for Chelsea and I am over the moon and Bats delivered but that does not make him a decent striker when your goals are no more than tap ins. Morata is a top striker because he has movement, touch, two good feet and of course that superb head, Bats has none of these and the question is will he get them?

All I’ve been saying since we signed him was that he was never good enough for a starting striker but for a backup he’s brilliant. All he is is a backup to Morata and whenever he comes on he scotes, doesn’t matter if it’s a tap in, he acores.

Great performance tonight, we basically controlled the whole game and deserved to win. However on another day that penalty Luiz gave away could have been costly, especially if atletico scored that rebound chance just before half time to give them a 2-0 lead.
I hope I'm not coming across negatively because I'm absolutely delighted with our performance tonight. Hazard back to his best, Morata on the scoresheet again, Batshuai coming and grabbing the winner, the midfield dominating the game while the defense looked very comfortable.
My only gripe tonight was with Luiz conceding that blatant silly penalty as I mentioned earlier. On any other day that could have decided the game. I just hope we're not constantly talking about Luiz and those type of incidents this season, because that's twice in his last 2 games we've had an incident with him. It's a shame because if he puts his head on from last season he's a superb player!

I think Christensen will be slowly integrated this year to replace him. Let's not forget Luiz was a monster for us last year and his passion is brilliant to see he just needs to be less hot headed.

I just love the way Conti moved the players around. Luiz to mid Chris to cd. Our midfield is strong. Baka still needs to hold on to the ball a bit better but overall awesome game of football. Go Blues.

Yeah i thought Baka was sloppy at times in the game as well as Fabregas. But the power Bakayoko provides for us is massive in these big games, if he can sort that part of his game he'll be unstoppable. And this Hazard and Morata link up is going to be special to watch this season, we maybe aren't favourites for the PL title or the CL but only a fool would write us off.

I said earlier that we win this group. Morata and Hazard will do monumental damage to defence of teams. We could have scored more goals we created better chances. Fabregas missed a glorious chance. Costa covered his face in shame.

I said last week how Batsy is so important to us as a goalscorer. Forget his first touch and all the other bits. he scores goals. a few on here wanted the bloke at spurs who will never start. Batsy is superb. A true goalscorer. Come on you Chelsea. we are fantastic. cheers. glass over brimming.

As wonderful as Luiz was last season, he's showing some of his bad habits this season that we thought were behind him. The red against Arsenal was let's just say silly at the least. And now tonight he concedes a penalty by blatantly pulling the opponents shirt. I know we can argue we should have also had a penalty for a similar offence. But the Luiz incident was so blatant you can't argue it. It's a shame because I felt we pretty much controlled that first half and were unlucky not to be ahead. Let's aim for a draw at least now in the second half. c'mon Chelsea!

Have to agree with Bobby23 that it has been noticeable in his last three games that Luiz was reverting to some of the niggles that irritated us during his first stint and with Christensen and others knocking on the door I don't think Conte is the tolerant kind. One moment of stupidity almost ruining a superb performance.

Have to admit that I'm quite surprised with 3142. Hazard is excellent as secondary striker. Bakayoko is actually replacement for Kante in this formation and Kante himself got more offensive position as offensive CM together with Fabregas. Unti now Conte outplayed Simeone (tactically) .
