Been watching A.S.S.E vs PSG and I have to say, Kurt Zouma is such an incredible talent. Have seen some games before and thought he was good, but he's had Ibra and Cavani in his back pocket all night. Would love to see either he or Mangala as a main CB soon at our club.

Saying that, unbelievable win today, let's keep the momentum we have built and beat Arsenal tuesday. Looking strong, and can hopefully only get stronger.

I read he wanted to stay at Saint-Etienne because he was afraid he wouldn't play enough at a big club. I reckon we should go in for him again as he'd play enough games for us. Right now we've got 3 cb's. Terry is old so he certainly can't play every game, and I'm not a big Cahill-fan. I'm pretty sure he'd be able to establish himself here. He'd be a fantastic pick up for our squad.
Mangala, I fear, will be too expensive. Porto are hard to deal with and I think certain other teams would be more willing to pay whatever Porto ask for. Zouma would be a great buy.

What is the plan with Kenneth Omeruo? Is he part of the first team squad or in line for a loan maybe in January?

Wow, what a game! Performance of the season so far. Valuable 3pts. Really, really glad for the boys.

Still think Jose is tacking us backwards Bas!cs?

Finally, a manager that is getting the BEST out of Torres! Will he get the credit for it? Doubt it.

Great performances from everyone but a special mention to Ivan, Ramires and Torres!

JOSE MOURINHO! JOSE MOURINHO!

Today is a must win. c'mon CHELSEA!

Hope lampard has a good game, otherwise we could get overrun in midfield, especially if yaya is playing further forward.

We're now a good 2 months into the season and I'd like to know everyone's thoughts on the Mata-situation.
For the last 2 years he's been incredible for us and one of our most important players. Now we have 6 very good players for the attacking midfield spots and then another couple young ones on loan or in the youth teams (hopefully bertrand traore eventually as well). What I'd like to know is, are people still very much against selling Mata? I'd say he's replaceable and I'd accept a large offer. What are your thoughts (Ed's join in as well if you'd like)?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If PSG want to offer £45m then you sell him because no matter what people say he is not a winfer he is a Number 10 and Mourinho's number 10 is Oscar. We could invest that money in Draxler who is more a Mourinho player or Barkley who seems to fit the big mobile powerful mould for that position or look to buy a winger/striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's exactly what I think of it PB. Only, I don't know if we'd really need to buy a winger because we've got enough talent in those positions. Just give KDB a run of games and he could prove very useful. Personally, I'd use the money to buy a CB and/or a central midfield player ala gundogan (I realise gundogan would be nearly impossible to get but I'm struggling to think of anyone in his mould who could be available).

Agree0 Disagree0

Jackson I agree, we both love Mata as a player but if Mourinho doesn't like him then we need to sell him and invest the money into area's of need aka CB, CM, ST.

Agree0 Disagree0

You read my mind. Indeed, I love Mata as he's a great player but also a great person. But it appears Jose has chosen his players for the big games and he's not one of them at the moment. So unless that changes, we might as well sell him and get a good amount of money to reinvest. In a world cup year, it'd be better for the player as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Hard to argue with the above comments based on Mata's lack of playing. My only concern is who our number 10 would be if Oscar suffered an injury. Based on the same logic we might as well sell Luiz also, two ambitious players for world cup places who dont

Agree0 Disagree0

Seem to be Jose's type of players

Agree0 Disagree0

I Suppose if we said we could sell Luiz and get Varane or Mangala and sell Mata and get Draxler or Barkley then we should cause there not going to be 1st choice. i'd play Luiz in midfield over Lampard any day but clearly Mourinho isn't going to do that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it would be a massive mistake to sell Mata. We don't need money, we need players that win games, and selling him would be a big loss in my opinion. We don't need to sell our star players to bring in young talents when we can do just that by keeping them. He shouldn't be so easily dispensable and I reckon there will be regrets from the club and fans if he leaves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mata isn't going to want to sit on the bench and have Willian be first off it for Mourinho like the last 2 games. isn't viable to have a world class player bench warm even though in an ideal world we would keep him

Agree0 Disagree0

It's all about asset management. If you sell him for the price you buy a guy such as pogba or gundogan who also are game winners but ones that will be an automatic selection then it's a great swap.

My hopeful team for today

Cech

Ivanovic Cahill Terry A.Cole

Ramires Luiz

Hazard Oscar Schurrle

Torres

Subs: Schwarzer, Azpilicueta, Essien, Lampard, Willian, Mata, Eto'o

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think aguero movement and pace will ruin Cahill. But then again yaya v Luiz would be better as lamps will get overrun Ramires got to be in midfield
