More reason why we won get falcao as he just got a hatrick and still 30 min left, amazing player why would they sell. I think and hope to god in wrong that man city only team could afford him or would pay the annount needed

Believable1 Unbelievable3

They may be forced to sell because of their huge debts. They are also still struggling to pay Porto the money due over him, and if they fail to pay uefa would implode serious consequences; so it may be more likely than u think!

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Aug 2012 22:22:04
And Falcao has scored another hat trick...... This guy is simply unbelievable. Prefer to keep Sturridge instead of buying a Schurrle, Cavani or Hulk. Only striker I'd like to see come in is Falcao!

why does everyone want miereles to go, i think he is a top squad player i would have him all day long over mikel raul and lamps in dmf position is ok i think.
Plus cfc please get rid of malouda never warmed to him , benyoun please , essien it pains me to say this but he is done [cant believe i said that] the bison is a true legend but his pins have gone .Ferreira time is a bitch my friend but thanks for the memorys . sturridge i might be mad but i get the impression he is bad for morale through the rest of the team, sell him and spend the money on shurrie or falcao i think you would get 12 to 15 mill for sturridge, i just dont see his input anymore.
we know who we are we know who we are champions of europe we know who we are

Boys and girls and even curt do u think we will spend big in the remaining days left of the transfer window! And who would u like to come in

KevinCFC

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I would say chelsea, tottenham and man city will all spend big in the coming days... its going to be an exciting end to the window..

Agree0 Disagree2

Yes, cavani and m'vila

Agree0 Disagree4

Hasn't Cavani just signed a new contract. M'vila is a great shout and I think he is some one we should be looking at

Agree2 Disagree0

Me personally would like jovetic or schurrle or hulk. would love iker muniain but not really a place for him. maybe a dm like tiote would be ideal. but to be honest im quite happy with what we got. apart from the 3rd striker. more will happen next summer ie leaving the club. BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree2

If we do sign someone big it will be a striker and nothing else, don't know who it will be though..have to wait and see if any movement does happen.

I'd take hulk in a heartbeat. That allows rami to slot deep. That being said I would be happy with anyone that's been said.

Reporting that we are interested in a CB from Montpelier.
Is there any truth in this and if so who would he replace?
Thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Luiz i expect. would love subotic to join though. or replace JT 1 day. BLUEBOY1

I think its more to do with the club believing that jt is more likely to be suspended because of that racism charge.
more likely a cover cb.
we are also interested in a 19yr old serbian cb from fiorentina

Agree1 Disagree0

It may be that Ivanovic wants to leave. There was talk at the beginning of the transfer window that he would not want to stay if he was only ever going to play RB, if that was the case and he left we would need another defender in the mix.

tbh Chelsea have looked the best team so far in the league. Cast your minds back to opening day of the season. Chelsea dominated Wigan. Scored 2 early goals and then closed the game out. Reading 4-2. Showed great determination, champions determination, to score 3 in the last 20 mins. Dominated, what is a decent side, Newcastle 2-0.
City on the other hand looks to be struggling. Nearly beaten by Southampton if it weren't for some bad defence on their behalf. Then nearly beaten by Liverpoop (not a typo) if it wasn't for Skrtels brilliant assist.
United got beat by Everton then struggled to cope with Foolham in the second half.
Bad, shaky starts for the Manchester clubs then
Don't even get me started on Liverpool and the Gooners. They could be staring at relegation lol.
Chelsea with all the young talent and a brilliant manager behind us look like a team with title tendencies.
I have also heard a lot of people saying the teams Chelsea have beaten so far were 'easy' and 'walkovers'. Yeah as if a team who nearly made it into the Champions league are 'pushovers'. City had Southampton (new boys) and Liverpool (who what, didn't even finish in the top 8 last season). United played Everton (the never-spenders) and Fulham (the play-a-drawers). If those teams weren't 'walkovers' then I don't know who is. We played Wigan (beat United) and Newcastle (5th place last season). Chelsea have made the most promising start and will hopefully go all the way this season.
COME ON YOU BLUES
RT

Believable3 Unbelievable6

As much as I like see Chelsea playing well, it's only been 2-3 games in, hardly a start to summarize upon. Plus Swansea have showed a little bit to them if we are going to argue the best starts, not saying they will win the league, but a start is a start.

Devon.

Agree2 Disagree0

Chelsea did not dominate Wigan, it was a good win, but not a particularly convincing one, the end of the first half and the beginning of the second Wigan were the better team, some shocking finishing saved us a bit.

We don't need another striker. Sturridge is a great number 2 and if by some really bad bit of luck both Sturridge and Torres are injured or out of form then we have Moses or Paizon/Oscar In the "false 9" hate that term? Thoughts?

A versatile striker/winger would be good. Hulk at the right price fits the bill. Danny wants his chance up there and hopefully Lukaku will come back next season with a good amount of experience so with 1 more addition we should be all good up top for years to come.

Cech
Brana, Cahill/Luiz/JT, Ash
Lamps, Mikel
Ramires, Mata, Hazard
Nando

Squad (worth mentioning): Cesar, Bertrand, Essien, Romeu, Mereiles, Moses, Studge, Oscar, Marin

Man City

Hart
Zabaleta, Lescott, Kompany, Clichy
De Jong, Toure
Nasri, Silva, Tevez
Balotelli

Squad (worth mentioning): Richards, Kolarov, Toure, Savic, Barry, Milner, Rodwell, Dzeko, Aguero

Man Utd

De Gea
Rafael, Vidic, Evans, Evra
Carrick, Cleverly
Valencia, Rooney, Kagawa
RVP

Squad (worth mentioning): Ferdinand, Smalling, Jones, Buttner, Scholes, Anderson, Fletcher, Giggs, Nani, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck

I'm baffled as to why we're not seen as serious title contenders?? Because we're young and a lot of the squad haven't been there and done it? That's rubbish, if you're good enough you're old enough. Don't get me wrong i'm happy we're not being mentioned as serious title contenders, less pressure for the boys and RDM to deal with. Just baffles me when looking at the squads and how equal they are that pundits are so quick to write us off.

Would love to hear peoples views on this because out of the 3 squads i'd sum them up as follows.

Chelsea have the youngest and most talented squad. If Robbie can get the tactics spot on, man-manage the players right like last season, and handle the expectations, then there's no reason why we can't win the league. The rotation of the players needs to be spot on this season as we have so many games to play. City have the biggest and most physical squad. They are set up a lot like Chelsea were in the early Jose days. They have also kept the same group of players together as last season so know what it takes to go all the way and win the league. Strong favorites again. Man Utd have the weakest squad out of the 3. They have more players to call on than City and us, but their squad seems to be filled with largely average players i.e. Evans, Raphael, Giggs (nowadays), Anderson, Jones, Carrick, Smalling, Buttner, Fletcher etc. There biggest asset is Ferguson and his ability to get the maximum out of an average squad/player.

Overall i don't think we have anything to fear whatsoever.

Also, no team has retained the Champions League Trophy since it began? That's fine because we're not the same team. Same club, different team. I do have a sneaky feeling we could be the first guys.

OsgoodIsKing

Believable4 Unbelievable6

The only players i would take from united and city are vidic and kagawa from united and hart, toure, kompany and augero from city (maybe silva if we hadnt of signed who we did)

Hey guys, havent posted in ages but just wanted to run a though past. Although its probably been discussed before i reckon that we should play 4231 against big teams like man u, city etc and then when we play small teams like qpr, norwich, liverpool etc we should play a sort of 4132 formation with 2 strikers hands 1 holding midfielder. I know this would be frail but it would let us tear apart small teams and then let us take off a striker and add a holding mid. What do you guys think of this formation idea
Jono

I reckon we should try and tempt Raheem Sterling back to London (originally with QPR) with Champions League football. Cant wait to see him and Oxlade-Chamberlain on the wings for England.
ChelseaL

Believable3 Unbelievable6

No need ,I do not think they would fit into our future team as we require players who are not only quick but also very very clever players that can play all over the pitch in atleast two or three positions.Because all the players we have signed so far have those attributes. While Sterling and Ox are very quick(like Walcott) and have decent crossing ability(unlike Walcott) ,they are pretty one dimensional and lack the finesse.I know they are young and will develop ,but I doubt they will ever be the type of player ,that we ate looking for.
In my opinion as those players are British a lot of buzz is surrounding them and they are being a bit overestimated. They will good players ,probably not great players.

Agree3 Disagree1

He never said to sign chamberlin, he said sterling.

I just have a few things to say about my beloved Chelsea:
1) When RDM was appointed there were a lot of doubters and haters saying that he was going to 'park the bus' and he has a 'boring' brand of football. Bet all of them are willing to take it back now. I put all my faith in RDM and so far he has delivered. He has an unbelievably smart game plan. Pushing for a goal in the first 25-30 mins and then trying to get a second to have some insurance. Then keeping his defence very tight and trying to grab another on the break from Eden, Nando, Juan etc.
2) The play between the three front players Hazard, Torres and Mata is so refreshing and brilliant to watch. The 32mil man looks like quite a signing. What 5 or 6 assists in three games. Everyone was saying he wouldn't cope in the prem with all the hard challenges coming in. But so far he has given the defences a nightmare. He loves running to the left or right of the defenders rather than taking it straight on. Very impressive young lad. Messi-esque in a way.
3) Torres seems to have found a new lease of life. 3 goals in 4 games and his link up play is absolutely superb. Hopefully he can keep it up.
4) The defense so far has been top notch. Luiz, Terry, Cahill have been brilliant at CB and Ivanovic has been, IMO, the best defender in the league so far. He is gonna give Azpil a run for his money all season. We look like a tough team to break down.
5) Everybody was righting us off at the beginning of the season saying that one of the Manchester clubs was going to win the title but with our good young players coming in and a superb manager behind us I think we could go all the way.

So that sums it up. All of my points could change through the course of the season because it is still very early days but I will stand by my statements till the end of the season because I am a Chelsea faithful......... COME ON YOU BLUES
RT

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Good post mate, i for one doubted the tactical competencies of RDM but our first three games showed me he has some tricks up his sleeve. I just hope that we can be consistant throughout the season especially during the winter games where we've been struggling for the past couple of seasons. All in all the future is certainly looking bright for us.
On a side note, watching the pool game yesterday it seems that their own players don't like the club hence Skrtel passing the ball to tevez, what an assist

aL

Agree3 Disagree4

I agree with this 100%. Anyone who slated RDM before we even kicked a ball this season, there was no point in that negativity. We are all one club, carefree since 1905.
