Just wanted to give everyone on we some good news. Mikel will be at the African cup of nations in January. Hopefully that will give romeu a run in the starting 11 and become a regular even when mikel returns.

I watched the bundesliga highlights on Monday on ITV4. The only real reason I watch it is to see how Kevin De Bruyne performs for Werder Bremen. Gotta say the kid looks like quite a prospect. He definitely has an eye for a pass, played a nice little tight 1-2 to get in the box and took his goal superbly. Can't wait to see him a Chelsea shirt already.

yeah he looks good. hes so much better playing centre mid. 2 goals in his last 2 games. BLUEBOY1

Lampard's repalcement for next year I reckon. A mix of De Bruyne and McEachran playing in that playmaking double pivot role will be the future. De Bruyne alongside M'Vila/Fernando Reges would be ideal in my opinion.

Our new lampard arriving in the box at the right time and scoring.

My team against Arsenal.

---------------Cech--------------
Azpilicueta--Cahill--Terry--Cole
--------Ramires--Romeu-------
Hazard-------Oscar--------Mata
--------------Torres-------------

I would play Azpi due to the fact that he is quick, and against a quick Arsenal team Ivanovic would be very easily caught out.

Furthermore, Romeu should start just because he passing is far far superior to Mikel's, and also that he is faster than Mikel.

PR!

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Don't remember Ivan being 'caught out' against Arsenal before play your strongest team that means ivanovic must play.

Agree2 Disagree3

Azpilicueta looked good against Wolves, not sure he will start against Arsenal but come the end of the season i am sure he will be considered our No1 RB.
I also really hope Romeu plays more, i was impressed by him and think he has more to offer going forward than Mikel.

Agree3 Disagree1

I prefer Romeu's passing to Mikel's but no way is he faster, Mikel is slow, Romeu is a slug.

Agree as always PR

Guys your teams looking good, best of luck for this season lads, just wish glasgow rangers had half your players

Agree5 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more Azpilicueta looks class will give us pace and stability same with Romeu he's gota drop Lampard think we should convincingly beat arsenal with that side

After last nights game the tempo of our 2 central midfielders really set the tone of the game, Romeu has great feet and a good range of passing ability which includes going forward (Unlike Mikel), couple this with Ramires energy and tanasity i really think these 2 would be great to be tested against Arsenal. Ramires can nullify the speed of Carzola along with being a a great option to stop Arsenals fast counter attacking threat and Romeu can dictate the middle of the field with his positional play and passing.

Really would love to see these 2 start on sat.

With all our attacking mids playing well, i figured the best line-up for us would be:

...........................Cech............................
..............Ramires..............Romeu...............
Moses...Hazard...Oscar...Mata...Piazon...Marin...Sturridge
...........................Torres...........................

If we are going to commit to this exciting attacking football, then lets commit. Yes, we may look just a bit exposed at the back, but until we try it we won't know.

So thats my personal preference. If anyone can see any reason why this could potentially not work, then speak up now.

I don't know why every chelsea fan wants Fellaini, the days of Direct Football for chelsea are over its Tiki-Taka and Samba Brazilian football from here on gents.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

We don't want him to play behind a striker, we want his to play defensive midfielder where Mikel plays. You can play your tika-taka football, but you need a solid wall infront of your defence, hence Fellaini!

Guys who do we leave out haha i mean even Piazon is performing in the advanced midfield position.we will have to go for this:

Cech

Azpilicuetta*Cahill*Terry*Cole

Oscar*Romeu

Moses*Mata*Hazard

Torres

-And still Ramires,Lampard,Piazon,Ivanovic and Bertrand are left out its redicilous the depth that we have.

Forshure this should be the team to play against Arsenal:

Cech

Azpilicuetta*Cahill*Terry*Cole

Romeu*Lampard

Mata*Oscar*Hazard

Torres

-Note:Terry might not be av. so we might have to play Luiz

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Switch Ramires for Lampard.

IB.

Agree8 Disagree2

Mate its not that Lampard is better than Ramires but...if you visit the Bridge often then you will know what the presence of of Super Frank and Mr.John Terry has on the team as a whole.

Agree0 Disagree3

Sure. But I think Ramires will be a much better option to help deal with Cazorla. Just my view.

IB.

Agree5 Disagree1

Yes true but Romeu playing just in behind Lampard will be pretty solid in containing Cazorla and co.

I'm sorry lampard ain't a leader in drogba and Terry's class

Agree3 Disagree0

Don't feel lampard should play, he can be introduced in the second half...if he does start i don't see Chelsea winning.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's not his effect on OUR team that concerns us most.

Watching the highlights from last night would put a smile on anyone's face. All be it against lesser apponents. The speed & accuracy with which we passed the ball & the general pace of the game we played would rip any defence apart. Not to rain on the parade but you know RDM will play with Ramirez back on the right, Ivan full back lamps mikel holding against arsenal. ( not my choice - certainly not mikel) but I can kind of see it. We will need defensive cover down the right with the likes of Gibbs & podolski. Would love it if we could pick a team like last night. Maybe with a few changes, but unfortunately it's not going to happen.

Hi guys i couldn't see the game last night so i had to listen to live streaming, can anyone tell me how Azpilicuetta played and if he is as solid in defence as Brana?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Azplilicueta was very good. Solid in defense, good in attack. Put good crosses into the box first time. His fitness surprised me considering his lack of games in the last couple of months. Good awareness in when to go forward and stay back. If I had to say something bad, then I'd wish he didn't cut into midfield after off loading the ball to Moses as much. But after a couple more games I can see him displacing Ivanovic in the team. Can't wait to see him against better opposition.

Agree3 Disagree0

It's a little thing but very impressed with the way he controls passes, especially long high crosses to him. Good fundamentals.

Thanks guys much appreciated

I was at the game last night and we were very good, the squad are ALL being used with great intelligence by the manager. Late in the game we actually went more 4-1-4-1 with Oscar dropping back in to support Romeou who looked very good,Ramiries was exellent but the best player was Mata who run the game.
Very promising

Think after tonights performance Azpilicueta and Romeu deserve a first team start Saturday as they're what we need both tidy and solid.

Saturdays XI:

Cech

Azpilicueta Cahill Terry A.Cole

Ramires Romeu

Mata Oscar Hazard

Torres

Subs: Ivanovic, Bertrand, Luiz, Lampard, Moses, Marin

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Agree, although i dont think rdm has the balls to drop lampard. and reckon luiz will play instead of cahill (unless terry is banned ofcourse)

Vincent

Agree3 Disagree1

Moses destroyed Arsenal last season at the Emirates......I would definitely start him

Agree3 Disagree0

He doesn't have the balls to drop Lampard?Hes left him out n the last two games?Ok maybe the League cup game was a exception but Stoke City are tough opposition and leaving him out was no rest.

Agree1 Disagree0

He himself said he didnt play terry and lampard because we have a lot of games soon. and one is stoke/wolves and the other is arsenal away. completely different games.
