Musonda complains about game time and then fails to make an impact. He looks talented as we know but he is in need of bulking up a bit or the Premiership will pass him by. Now 17 year old Ampadou plays like a 27 year old, confident, strong and not afraid to bark out instructions; impressive. For the want of attracting more criticism, Bats is not the answer to any strike issues we have; Drinkwater when fully match fit looks as f he could put a lot of pressure on those midfield places, his passing in the first half was excellent.

He's just a kid! People need to have patience! In regards to Bats, I feel genuinely sorry for him. He scores some incredibly vital goals for us off the bench yet people get on his back!

Ignoring the fact he put in the best cross all match and got fouled every time he threatened to get free?

So what, he played poorly. I will take tap ins all day if it wins us games but he does nor create anything and ONE good cross in a game is not top striker material. He is the same age as Harry Kane, not a kid, and what a difference.

No he's not he's 21 and kane is 25 and kane has loads more experience to date so he's going to be a more established player.

Danny83: No worries, in our efforts to defend our corner we all make mistakes. Kane was 24 in July, Bats 24 in October and at that age they are not kids and Bats has had every opportunity to show something and has not. To me and some others a wasted £30m+.

I was referring to Musonda in regards to him being a kid. With bats, there are obviously better strikers in the world but if he works hard and takes his chances he has a bright future here. Let’s just get behind them!

C1955 you really do like to knock players don't you. Musunda is a kid who got another 60 mins or so experience, delivered a sweet assist for the goal and no doubt realised himself that he could of done better. Give him a break man! Does Hazard play at the top of his game every time he plays? And why this constant knocking of Batsy? Again, give him a chance. And if not, why come on here game after game knocking him? what's the point!

I thought Musonda and Michy did ok on Wednesday.
Musonda is finding his feet at the top flight of English football but I’m hopeful he will be successful at our club.
Michy, in my opinion, had a good game. His first touch and strength have improved, as it had to, for him to progress.
Can I also add, that all players find it easier when Hazard plays. Teams against Hazard generally double up on him and this creates more room for all of our players.
Hazard having an average game for us is still as asset to the rest of the team!

I agree with TomB Hazard is a real asset because he draws more than one defender and leaves space for others but the 'others' like Bats do not take advantage and unless there is a marked improvement with him I will stick to my opinion that he is not for us. G8 I value your opinion as that is what the site is for but to me you fall into the 'rose tinted' re: your "two wins on the bounce will see confidence improve" - they won two games and played terrible the majority of the time so as a supporter I want my team to play better than they did. Of course a win is a win but you will not get away with those performances often. I think Musonda is very talented but physically too light at the moment and when you make statements as he did you have to be prepared to make your mark more than one pass in 60 minutes. Just look at what Ampadou has done in two appearances, made his mark and I bet he has caught the eye more than Musonda.

Certainly not rose tinted c1955 but I see little point in harking on about players not being good enouth all the time. It is tedious mate. I like to find positives in players and people alike and especially the younger ones. Now if you got me started on cahill it would be a different matter, but I would only make the point once, not keep bashing him after every game as you seem to revel in mate with the likes of Batsy.

I to have concerns about the current form of Cahill. He wasn’t playing well at the end of last season. I hope I’m wrong but I remember the form of Iva just falling of a cliff and it worries me!
Two things stand out for me one is his his distribution and the other is him as a leader!
We got spoilt with the likes of JT, Lamps and Drogba giving the ref verbals about protecting players like Hazard and all skippers are different but GC is so quiet it’s painful.

G8: We will never get perfection but the team and its supporters should strive for it and praising sub-standard performances it not what I find attractive; you cannot keep making excuses for well players that were expected to be better. Against Watford they were shocking in most areas and the second half against Everton equally bad so why would I not criticise and the players. The younger players may moan but they have to deliver when opportunities appear and few do yet in two games Ampadou has shown me that with the right handling he could be a real gem but Musonda who is talented cannot complain when he is not moving his youth performances to a higher level, RLC is another classic example. We will never agree on Bats and he will need to improve to win me over. Having said that, the player I have my hands up to is Pedro. I thought he would be a waste of money and I still think he is an impact player not really lasting 90 minutes BUT his performances have been excellent and I like it when he plays or is brought on. It is not one way traffic but I expect more than mediocriity.
