I think we started really well and we lost confidence after 1st goal. Terry was dreadful, I can't see a scenario where he can actually play in that back 3. Beaten to every ball unless it was long and high to give him time to get under it. I adore the man I've been watching him since he broke through but its time to hang up the boots. I was delighted to see the 2 lads getting a game, I'd like someone to have a word with Chalobah though and tell him to be a bit bolder, Aina has some balls but is a bit raw still. League cup I'm not devastated.

Although 'just' the League Cup, a win is a win for confidence and I really cannot understand the team selection. After Saturday we should be trying to build a run of wins to get teams thinking but now we go into Saturday with a loss against our name. No Europe to think about so why not put out a strong eleven? We didn't and it highlighted the fact we have lots of potential that needs to start getting its act together and as pointed out, first game back, but Terry either cannot operate in that formation or his injury has set him back a long way. I personally was disappointed in the performance.

The whole point with 3 at the back the two on the side need pace. So how does ivanovic work?

Agree Blueboy. I think that's in part why Terry was so poor. If he's going to start then he needs to be in the centre.
