If the rumours are correct then selling Matic to United for 40m and signing Bakayoko for 35-40m, it's a great but of business, especially with Bakayoko having youth on his side. And if we sign Sandro we're instantly looking stronger than last season. We just need to sort the striker position out and maybe a new CB. Any updates on any strikers Ed? Thanks!

We need another cm, can't go in the season with just Baka, cesc, ngolo, chalo, suicide. Need golovin or neves imo
Especially if conte thinking of going 3-5-2.

Does no one else feel that we're much weaker at right back than left back? I mean we have Alonso and Ake that can play left back, but only moses who can play on the right and he's probably the worst of the 3? Can Alonso maybe play on the right?

RVD I think that will be the plan, move Dave back to right back with Moses as cover. Would leave us with Cahill, Luiz, Christensen and Zouma as centre halfs with the possibility of another one being brought in ie VVD or Bonucci.

Traore gone liked him what i saw of him under hiddink ake most probably next but if believed to be true 16 million for traore and 20 million for ake is good business if not a bit disappointing not to see them both in the chelsea blue me personally I'd rather have given ake the chance then buying vvd.

Ed 001 has said if he could sign any cb this summer would be christensen from someone that knows there football you can't get a more glowing compliment than that just hope us going for vvd doesn't affect christensen getting a shot as i know who id prefer and they wouldn't cost us a penny either.

What is with the 'shifting Azi to right back if we have to', he is a right back. He only played on the left because we had no one suitable at the time. I think he would make a good right wing back as he is quick, can tackle but having started his career as a forward he crosses the ball very well and has a decent shot on him. I liked Ake but as with Loftus-Cheek and Chalaobah every time I have seen him I have thought 'very good but. ' there just seems to be something missing.

Perhaps the figures being reported are wrong but €10m for Traore is disappointing. Personally I don't think we need another CB, id rather we held onto Christiansen. Whilst preseason isn't necessarily the best indicator, id prefer to see Azpi play RWB before making a decision but I do think Moses is the weaker link out of him and Alonso.
We definitely need to sign another CF, possibly two if we let Batshuayi go although I like him and think he should stay. The rest largely depends on whether Conte wishes to stick with a 3-4-3 or go to a 3-5-2. If he's going for an extra man in midfield then potentially another CM on top of Bakayoko or if he's sticking to 3-4-3 I'd like another wide forward.

When I said shifting dave to Right back I didn't mean from left back. I'm well aware he is a right back by trade and right footed but he played the majority of the season at centre back. I thought it was relatively obvious I meant that it might be an option to move him from centre back to right wing back if necessary as he isn't a natural centre back.

Any of you boys feel its harsh on alonso were about to sign a new left back, thought he had a great season last year. i do agree do to get to the next level in cl especially he's probably not good enough. so in conte we must trust and i know most of you on this site have been raving about sandro all summer.

Definitely seems harsh mate yeah especially if he's going to come straight into the starting lineup which must be the plan. Strength in depth though is key to success and having 2 class players competing for one place can only be a good thing. Alonso could play on the left side of the back 3 too.

Ya ed mentioned alonso was actually signed for the role of left centre back but tured out he done well at left wing back.
