Rookie with a bit of potential? Did you even watch him last year? Better than any other lb in the league last year apart from Azpi! Chelsea have missed out big time

Missed out? He's a good player, better at attacking than defending, but no way is an 18 year old worth £30m. Biggest fee for a teenager and he's a defender, which are usually cheaper. Silly amount of money.

Calm down a bit, Utd have vastly over paid because he is English period.
He scored 0 goals and 1 assist in 35 games last season.
Will this improve in time yes but he isn't going to make a difference to the figure of £30m, they need to heavily invest in the CB and CM region or they will be defensively worse next year than they were this season.

I was one of the biggest proponents for him but 34m is silly. Think about it this way, for the same amount of money they will be getting shaw and herriera while we get fabregas and costa. I hope they have a card up their sleeve for a centre half because I almost played as many games as Phil jones last year and smalling and Evans wouldn't get near our squad.

Whilst I find it unlikely, I read a rumour bout a month back that Utd are offering him £160k a week

It's LB position, I believe JM will leave Bertrand or PVA in first team and as he likes ready to use players he'll bring exp.LB as first option.

I agree it is a ridiculous amount of money for an 18 year old lb but it's an investment for someone who will play at the top level for 12-14 years! I'm sorry but none of us see what managers & coaches see in players so he must be good enough for United to pay that much & to be picked for he's country! Defensively he's not great but he's young & has time on he's side to develop, can't really compare mata because he's class, fellaini I agree is over rated & over priced

Hey guys, bad news It turns out suarez would also be banned in Fifa 15 and FM2015, PES 2015 still deciding. But worry not friends cause he would be in the new resident evil where he'll by no means play a BIT part role ( see what I did there) :)
