Taking the price into account who would chelsea fans like to see up front next season?

Cavani - £35 mil

Huntelaar - £17 mil

LLorente - £25 mil

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Torres.

Agree6 Disagree0

Cavani - I get so excited just thinking about it!

Agree4 Disagree3

Torres

Agree5 Disagree0

Torres

Agree5 Disagree0

It must be great to have a sugar daddy

Agree4 Disagree0

I dont think we need a striker in all honesty, torres, sturridge, and lukaku should be plenty...

cali

Agree6 Disagree2

Llorente out of the three but I like Lewandowski 15-17m!

Surewould

Agree3 Disagree4

Torres all day long

Agree1 Disagree0

Torres is so out of form you have to go with cavani ! What are we gonna wait to see if he scores goals next season and when he don't finish 6th and don't have the luck in the champions league and don't qualify for the cl the following season?? It's a no brainer!!

Who would fellow Chelsea fans like to see wide for us next season taking the price into account?

L Moura - £35 mil

Hulk - £40 mil

Bale - £40 mil

or...

Ramires

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Get a right winger, play rami DM.

Agree1 Disagree0

RAMIRES

Agree2 Disagree1

Lucas Moura would be closer to 50, but even still would like to see Hulk.

Agree1 Disagree3

Bale

cali

Agree0 Disagree2

Hulk

Surewould

Agree3 Disagree0

Mate ramires is a centre mid not a winger, although he can play there, but i'd rather see hulk come in, if not the hazard.

trueblue012

Agree3 Disagree4

Bale off that list. Moura is a big risk and hulk is much older of the two.

If Napoli are actually going to bid for Meireles, why don't Chelsea give them a counter off of Meireles + Cash for Edinson Cavani! If they want to take our player they shouldn't be so shocked if we want there's. What do people think, and what do you think ED? I know player exchanges can me messy, but this could work as it would suit both teams, as they were missing a worker like Meireles when we beat them. As much as I'm wanting Torres to play well, Cavani is a beast and is made for the prem in my opinion! Also, everyone is talking about a new RB, is it just me or is Ivanovic one hell of a player and deserves that starting role. If Chelsea are going to be an attacking force next year as it would appear, in my opinion you need defenders that are going to do their primary job and defend, so I wouldn't bother unless its back up for Brana! I'm just a bit worried our team seems to be shrinking in size as players go out and others come in, remember that it was our big dominant midfield that made us great! I wouldn't want to lose the physicality from midfield, they'll be needed to allow the attacking quality we now have to do their jobs properly!

Chelsea Nick

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I agree, If an offer is imminent then i'd like to see us make a cheeky counter offer with Cavani as part of the deal

But don't worry about the squad getting smaller, we will buy more players this window (and it's only June!) plus hopefully some youth players can make the step slowly into the first team which would be nice

Rich

Agree1 Disagree0

You read the article

Agree0 Disagree0

Iva wants to play at CB but is happy to cover at RB, not play there all the time, with Bosingwa gone that leaves Ferreira or a youth player, we need a RB.

ed007 on man u site believes that a bid of 25m + would tempt madrid to part with ozil, trouble is where would he fit in our team

Believable0 Unbelievable1

All I could think of is:

(left)Mata-------Ozil-------Hazard

however it just seems a bit too 'forced', if yannooo what i mean ;/ If we hadnt just signed Hazard i think ozil would be a good option though. But i dont understand what reson madrid could possible have for getting rid. It doesnt make any sense. Especially as they are trying to move Kaka on aswell, and maybe even higuain and di maria. IMO di maria seems most likley to leave and i cant see ozil leaving to be honest. I also think kaka will stay one more year.

Agree0 Disagree0

What that makes no sense? We aren't after Ozil

Agree0 Disagree0

Were ever he wants !!

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't imagine he goes anywhere after the performance he's putting on. He had a fantastic world cup when Madrid bought. He had a good first season. Where the crap about him leaving comes from is his poor start to the season which ended an he's obviously put it behind him. Who would they replace him with anyway? There may be 3 players in the world that can even equal what he does.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

There's no reason at all that those 3 can't play together. All 3 can easily interchange positions. I don't know why most people who post on here are so concerned with 'set positions'.

Who would fellow Chelsea fans prefer in central midfield considering the price?

Fellaini - £22.5 mil

Modric - £30 mil

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Modric all day long, class player.

Agree2 Disagree1

I pick...... Schweinsteiger. I know he's not in the option above but come on, the heart wants what the heart wants. :)

ELI

Agree1 Disagree2

Dont mind. modric will be more creative. fellani will be more muscle and physical presence. tbh im not convinced we should get either or anyone in deep-midfield. i dont see the need. i think chelsea fans are getting greedy with wanting this area strengthening

Agree0 Disagree0

Modric if we were going to buy, but i dont think we really need to buy.

Ramires is a guarantee to start, Mikel will also start, and Mata or Hazard will also play a central role. Plus we have Lampard, Essien and some good youngsters

I assume Meireles will be Napoli bound

Agree0 Disagree0

Modric

Agree1 Disagree0

Ramires

Agree1 Disagree0

Fellaini is just what we need behind the front 4. IMO

cali

Agree2 Disagree0

Neither. Give me the £20m.

Who would fellow Chelsea fans prefer at right back considering the price?

Debuchy - £6.5 mil
Azpilicueta - £12 mil
Clyne - (compensation)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Clyne any day! Much resemblense to ashley cole and is still very young and proved in a tough league. Sign him for cover and breed him into the tem like they did with bertrand...simples

Agree0 Disagree0

What are these posts? Who we would like to see has been mentioned countless times.

Agree0 Disagree1

Ivanovic.

Agree0 Disagree1

Apzilicueta!

Agree1 Disagree0

Debuchy. tbh only on iv ever seen play though haha. In reality I just want the most defensivley reliable one whoever that is

Agree0 Disagree0

Azipilcueta

Agree1 Disagree0

Debuchy looks good..

Kyle walker.....I can always dream!

Which one was the young chelsea centre half who played in the youth team this year, with a striking resemblence to a young ruud gullit {Ed018's Note - Nathan Ake, and there is loads of potential with this kid}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Millions of potential for sure. BLUEBOY1

Agree1 Disagree0

Does anyone have a clue how tall he is? I'm just concerned he could turn into a very short centre half.

i miss boswinga

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Yeah same here...

Agree1 Disagree2

I do not

Agree2 Disagree0

I miss terribly his tricks which fooled no one, finding himself in wrong positions, his crosses for basketball players and turning his head all time because he had no clue where his opponent was! Proitos

Agree2 Disagree0

I miss laughing at his stupid eyebrow just wont be the same when the camera pans over the bench

Carefree

Agree2 Disagree0

Reminds me of a brilliant interview on CTV, players had to pick names out a hat and state what the best and worst points were about that player. Ashley cole drew Bosingwa and said his worst point had to be his mono-brow, made me die laughing.

Why do we need to get Modric

Believable3 Unbelievable3

We dont & i dont. mceachran can be our passer.

Agree4 Disagree3

Because modric is one of the best midfielders in the world and would improve our team immensely?

Agree3 Disagree3

Agreed, waste of £30 million in my opinion, if we were to get a cm would be Fellaini for me to add a bit of physicality, while still being a quality player. MB

Agree2 Disagree1

Fellaini is no better than Mikel

In response to Napoli's interest in Raul Merieles Chelsea are poised to offer £27m + Merieles for Edinson Cavani. In addition Chelsea will rock the transfer market by finalising a deal for Hulk for £33.5m, completing a £32m + performance related fees transfer for Lucas Moura, a 12m deal for right back Cesar Azpilicueta and a £6m deal for Wigan's Victor Moses. The total outlay of £142.5m will be marginally compensated with the removal of Merieles from the wage bill and the sale of Malouda to Vasco Da Gama who will join former Lyon teammate Juninho. Chelsea will also move on Daniel Sturridge to either Arsenal, Liverpool or Tottenham for a fee in the region of £17m hence the signing of the promising Moses to fill the homegrown slot. Ferreira will be kept for the final year of his contract and is being considered for a coaching role in the summer 2013. Essien is likely to be retained but Chelsea will listen to offers and may consider a sale if the sum involved outways the potential risk of further injuries. If Essien is sold it is possible Chelsea may make a late bid for Modric though this is likely to drag on late until the window. Likely loans heading out are Bruma, Kalas, Ake, McEachran, De Bruyne, Kakuta, Davila, Lukaku and Bamford.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Would love this to be the case......alas, i very much doubt it!

trueblue012

Agree3 Disagree0

I'd like ed002 opinion on this and I'd be thrilled with that to happen but can't see it, {Ed002's Note - Putting aside the numbers, there is an offer coming for Merieles. Chelsea maintain an interest in the players mentioned. Obviously the likes of Ake cannot go on loan.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Lucas moura yes please

Agree1 Disagree0

I like your style!

But i don't know maybe i'm a miserable bas***d but with players like Moura and Cavani, i just see them as the type of players who would never come to England

Hope i'm wrong!

Rich

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha the question is, who would be the biggest flop? i reckon moura ;)

Agree1 Disagree2

I think hulk would flop, his ego's too big since he's the 'big man' for porto and he definitely wont get that a chelsea so i think that'll be a huge blow to him and he may be outplayed by experienced premiership defenders... his only real success this summer in the friendlies has been against weak teams like the USA and Denmark; against Argentina i forgot he was playing

Agree0 Disagree2

Maybe you forgot that he was playing against Argentina cos Messi was playing, and it was the 'Messi Show'!

Agree1 Disagree0

USA and Denmark are good teams!

This comment is void in my opinion, the man is brilliant and made for the English game, Pace, Power, Eye for goal you name it

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2012 12:18:47
Ed, just to clear up any ambiguity re: Modric, can you confirm whether Chelsea have held any interest in the player in the last 12 months, and whether at any point a bid was lodged with Spurs?

Many people are going off the widespread media reporting of last summer on the subject, yet your responses frequently imply otherwise. Just to clear it up once and for all, as I think many fans would look at Modric as being an ideal player for us. {Ed002's Note - I have no interest in opening last summer's discussions again.}

It seems like almost ,every football pundit, player's are blaming chelsea for certain team's defensive style at the euro's,saying they parked the bus like us , the latest comment being Diamanti,in the England-ltaly match. What do you guys think?.CM

Believable0 Unbelievable0

England played nothing like us!! Different formation for a start! And we only played that way (deffensive) against Barca and B Munich! England played that way against Ukraine and Sweeden aswell as France and Italy!

Agree3 Disagree0

Both teams says back and attempted to counter when possible.

Ramires was a big part, obviously, of our counter attacking - England lacked someone with both the energy and quality of Ramires.

Drogba was obviously massive for us too! You need a striker who will play with his back to the goal and who is strong enough to hold the ball up until the countering midfielders arrive to support him. Midfielders for England only saw the back of Welbecks shirt...Ian Wright proved this type ofstriker simply doesn't work in international football; Carroll was slightly better.

In short England tried to play in a similar way to Chelsea but simply didn't have the players/quality to pull it off!

Surewould

Agree1 Disagree0

Obviosly sharing same players but chelsea would ruin england anyday!
So no they dont play the same
Carefree

Agree2 Disagree0

Lets not forget england went over the half way line a lot more than chelsea did in those games !!

Agree1 Disagree0

Only because their back four wasn't in our half for the majority of the games, unlike barca and bayern.

trueblue012

Agree0 Disagree1

If anyone is even comparing england to bayern they are idiots. never mind barca, on any given day bayern would blow italy out the water

Agree0 Disagree2

Well done trueblue012 you got it,a game of two halves ,so why spend all game in one because thats what you do when you are far inferior to your opponent ,comes to something when you would rather watch england over chelsea

Agree1 Disagree0

Jamal Blackman, Todd Kane, Billy Clifford, Sam Hutchinson, Nathaniel Chalobah, Nathan Ake, Josh McEachran, Lucas Paizon, Gael Kakuta, Islam Feruz & Patrick Bamford.

Some of the players have already featured for the first team, a couple might never feature for the first team. Some should see time out on loan this coming season - others should deffo see more first team action.

The club has invested so much into our youth system, we need to start having faith in it! Di Matteo may finally be the manager who has that faith; Ryan Bertrand starting the Champions League final would certainly given the boys listed above hope!

No need to look at Moses etc. we can fill our own home grown quota!

Surewould

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Im guessing that only 6 of the above will make it to the first team in a few years, they are, Kane, Chalobah, Ake, McEachran, Paizon, Feruz! I hope Bamford makes it bt cant see it happning! DJ
