Was reading a write up about shurrle last season and alots said about him being the second striker and his great partnership he had with keilsling( excuse spelling) maybe we should try the one holding midfielder 4132
That is correct. Schurrle played second or support striker with Kiesling for two seasons as Bayer L.played 442. He played winger when he was Mainz player.
Even in transfermarkt Schurrle is described as support striker.
Do some research Ness and stop quoting sources. Heres an idea, base opinions on players by actually watching them play, and not by websites that don't bother with factually correct info. Schurrle played as a second striker MAYBE 10 times for BL. He was played on the wing, generally, week in, week out. I should know, I made an effort to watch him regularly once Ed002 stated our interest in 2011/12 (can't remember which it was).
He started his career as a striker at Mainz, not as a winger, and played incredibly well, hence the quick step up in quality of team. I doubt he played wide for Mainz on more than 5 occasions, if that. While BL recruited him as a striker, his pace was far more useful to them on the wing, espicially when Kiesling is so deadly, and prefers to play on his own upfront.
Honestly mate, I have no idea where you pull this rubbish from, but it can be painful too read at times.
Open transfermarkt.uk Chelsea and read yourself. By the way I am watching Bundesliga regulary for last
5 years.
With some people it's just pointless, hey mate?
I totally agree with you Melbourne! Infact I was going to write what you wrote and didn't bother as I didn't think it was worth pointing out just how wrong ness is. Ness you really need to watch some games mate, what you write half the time is ridiculous! Schurrle scored 15 goals in his first season for Mainz as a striker. Stop reading absolute dribble and use your common sense ness!
