It makes sense to pay 30m£ for Shaw only if he would be used as LWM.
It's absolute waste to use player of his quality and pace as left back. Just remember the way Bale was wasted as LB until once by accident Redknap put him on left winger position. I believe Shaw has similar potential as Bale.
Agreed he could turn into a quality winger! He is very direct & not afraid to get forward & take players on which apart from hazard & Oscar nobody else does! Willian has got very quick feet & he is rapid so would like to see him be more direct
Umm. Salah?! The most direct winger in the team by far-I don't think I've ever seen him slow the play down.
Chelsea can't relay on one left footed winger either will get or DiMaria.

Listening to talk rubbish this evening it was suggested that Jose has not impressed abramovich with both his style of play and antics, it was also said that Jose was far from happy. I am happy with how things have gone so far this season both on and off the pitch, yes we have not got the results we would have liked against the supposed weaker teams. Is there any truth in the statements made or is it just more media b*******?

It would make sense abramovich has spent a lot of money on top quality players but yet are football is so negative or slow and boring. Other teams spend less money and don't have the players we have but yet play better football. If you had spent so much money on attacking players you wouldn't be happy with the standard of football we play. It would be more understandable if we lost the league because we conceded too many goals and now we play defensive football but we've lost the league because we haven't scored enough goals and it's not only down to the strikers but it's down to our slow build up play which means we can't break down a side who keeps lots of men behind the ball
The winner is the one who scores more and that's why Liverpool are top. Who cares about not conceding many when we cannot score any?
But this is because we have no real strikers. Next season there must be no excuse though.

Barry, whole Liverpool game is concentrated on Suare&Sturridge. The same is with other teams how do you think Lukaku scored almost as Torres, Ba and Eto'o together.
Whole idea to play 3 amigos as main power is not Mourinho's someone else wanted Chelsea to play that way, JM just found situation when got back, it's not his style he prefers stronger and taller players. Chelsea isn't Barcelona and doesn't play at Primera. That's why he brought Matic in first place. Personally I believe Torres will stayor maybe Ba all depends on summer transfer window and various transfer combinations.

I think Coutois will return as No.1 next season, Moreno at leftback will sign, Zouma to return at centre back. Lavezzi, Costa and Markovic will provide the strikeforce we need.
That leaves just a new deep lying midfielder. Imbula probably but I would like to see Modric.
Nice to see one or two other loanees returning but I think it will be just the two I've mentioned. The only other possibility as a new signing would be Ross Barklay but I imagine that would only happen if we lost a star name, Oscar maybe, unexpectedly.

Agree with most but i'd get lavezzi and cavani for striker but with costa looking close to a lock, I'd get lavezzi along with him. Markovic is the third striker I would have too
You have only got one striker there mate. Lavezzi and Markovic are as much of a striker as Schurrle. Considering there is a chance all four of our strikers will leave, we need to have at least 2 or 3 out and out strikers in the squad.
