Just watched the match on football first. Shame that dunne played the best he will play all season as I thought costa looked superb.
Another battling win, we won't always play brilliantly but winning ugly is important if we want to win the league.
Just a mention I thought schurle looked so much better when he came on than hie did in midweek.

Fair play to Dunne! 35 and still keeping one of the top strikers in the league at bay.

I'm delighted that we just got the win :)

To tell you truth guys after first 5 minutes in the.game vs QPR all my thought were " this is going to be so tough that 1 0 win would made me more than happy"

Agree with Eli re. Oscar and said so in summer. But one concern is relatively small number of players used thus far in season compared to some sides so possibility of fatigue setting in for likes of Oscar whose work rate is phenomenal. Would hope that both Schurrle and Salah get game time v Maribor. Think Salah because of pace should be able to become pretty useful off the bench against tiring attacks.

Just want to say good three points and keeps us moving in the right direction. Also to all those who wanted Oscar gone during the summer I for one I'm glad he has proved you wrong. He is only going to get better and better and might have a few bad games along the way but he is still a stunning player that I'm glad is at the club.

Come on Chelsea!!

I didn't necessarily want Oscar to leave but I did think he'd need to show more consistency and end product this season. And I'd have been happy to swap him for Reus or Gotze.
Atm, whilst I can't remember every match he's been involved in, he's only made a big contribution in 3 out of the 13 he's played in. Palace, Villa and QPR. With his other assist being for the 4th goal against Swansea.
Maybe he will come good this season but there have been quite a few games where I think he's gone missing still.

I said I wouldn't mind seeing him being sold for the reported big fee PSG would pay (around £40m) and replacing him with Barkley of Everton as he is HG and has better physical attrbutes and istill stand by that, I personally feel he is just a better fit for this team. Oscar is playing well and long may it continue.

My god, Liverpool are not creating any chances whatsoever. If they don't get Sturridge back quickly, they could really drop some more places in the table.
Does anybody know whether he's close to being fit? It'd be helpful if he couldn't play next weekend.

Rodgers confirmed that Sturridge will still be out for the Chelsea game.

yeah, Newcastle just scored. They are horrendous at the moment ( sorry Ed001, sir, if people on here think I moan, take a look at the Liverpool site, can't blame them really, Rodgers is getting it all wrong.

Well, hopefully he doesn't make a miraculous comeback. We have to keep rolling along and we shouldn't drop points to Liverpool.
Come to think of it, most (if not all) of the games where you'd think there's a reasonable chance of us losing the game have already been played. The manchester sides and Everton away are tough places to go. We love playing Arsenal and Liverpool and Tottenham still aren't clicking. It's our year! :-)

Man, do I wanna see us smash QPR today! We really need the points I feel after the game against United. It wouldn't be good for morale if we lost this game.
I'd love for Costa to get the start, but he shouldn't be risked if he's not 100% or if there's a lot of risk involved in playing him. Sucks though that he'd probably be fully fit just in time for him to play for Spain. He needs to get the next international break off in my opinion.
Also, Mikel's now injured IIRC? Anyone knows what happened to him?

Lost? Jack mate you definitely having a laugh. It wouldn't be good if we draw this game, what am I saying if we beat them by just a goal margin I wouldn't be happy, know what make that a two goal margin. Okay maybe I'm getting carried away but you get my point anything other than a win is going to be a moral drainer. Come on Chelsea! :)

Indeed the circumstances are against us :-) November and QPR haven't been the best games for Chelsea. Let's hope they can break the streak!!
