Rite nearly 2 years ago my friend recommend me to a new barber, he was the best in town and very expensive but hey you pay for what you get,so I tried him and he did a shocking job on me, but I stayed loyal and thought it may take time to get use to my hair style short back and sides lol, so I gave him the chance and every time he does a bad job! Not through lack of effort just he ain't got it no more, so for nearly 2 years I've been paying loads of money for a really bad job, what should I do be loyal bury my head in the sand and hope he improves ? Or go to a better barber and have a good cut instead of wasting money on him what would you lot do ?! , oh and do you think we should keep TORRES and hope he gets better ? Canton !

Believable5 Unbelievable1

No go to a different barber you person wasting money for a bad haircut is pointless when you know what to expect, with Torres on the other hand things can become surprisingly unexpected ...

Agree2 Disagree1

With Torres you just dont expect goals thats as simply as it is.

Agree3 Disagree2

It is may seem strange but when torres was not scoring he looked a lot sharper, quicker and contributed a lot more than he did now. Now he is scoring it looks like he doesn't really care anymore, he does the odd good flick, trick or pass to teammates but the more common choice for him is to go on a run that usually ends up fruitless. I do not think a TOP team like chelsea can afford to carry along a lackluster striker on colossal wages when they could shift him for a decent price (considering he is scoring now, he will probably be a target for teams if he were to come available) and get in a quality player that contributes more.

Agree3 Disagree0

Completly agree, i'd hope they bench him and a play a 4-2-4 with no dedicated striker. we saw how Ajax rolled over ManC by doing it.

Agree3 Disagree0

Put Mata, Hazard, Oscar and Moses as an attacking midfield 4.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think we should keep torres and move him to a wider role, he can hold the ball, he's not selfish and he is a good crosser.

Agree0 Disagree0

haha marley you make me laugh mate

iv been saying for atleast 2 months torres needs too go now everyone else is starting too see it apart from you your trying too give me a load of rubbish for it

clearly the difference between you and me is that i want a new striker so we do well this year because torres will end up costing us

where as you, you just enjoy coming on this website too give people stick because they no more than you and you cant accept that!!

anyway enjoy watching the game on your laptop mate ill be at the game because im a true supporter

curt

Believable3 Unbelievable18

Going to a game does not make you a true fan do you ever think some people cant afford to go
matthew

Agree18 Disagree0

Curt what are you talking about? You claim to be a true supporter but how you pick and choose who you slate. I've been a season ticket holder for 15 years, did you turn out every other sat during the years when supporters I knew just gave up. I defend Torres as what other choice do we have? Sturridge? Rdm obv doesn't fancy/ trust him do what other options are there? I'm guessing your magic ball predicts we spend 50 mil on Falcao and he will be a instant hit? Haha, I give it 3 weeks without a goal and u would be crying again. Don't ever question my support to the club when you have made a fool of your self for months on here, I'm not the only one who thinks your a joke.
Marley

26 Oct 2012 13:34:32
your an absolute embarressment falcao wont go 3 weeks without scoring lool thats just stupid talk

torres is not good enough simple as

i supported chelsea before we had money thanks you just find any reason to give digs on here because it obviously makes you feel so much better about yourself

i know more about football than most the people on here the sooner you realise it the better

curt

Agree0 Disagree10

See curt and you wonder why people have enough of you. I don't get what Marley has ever done? Al of us have known Torres ain't what he was at pool, but we've all backed him. I admit I've had enough. But I've backed him. We all have and all of u know we're never going to get the old nando. But for f sake stop acting like u know it all and gloating over something you think you knew before us. Jesus f me. BLUEBOY1

Can we all stop moaning and slateing our players please? Weather your having a pop at lampard, mikel, Ivanovich or torres lets just leave it and get behind the team. One bad game against shaktar. We have been playing yhe kind of attacking football everybody has wanted, made some great signings and are sitting at the top of the prem. Lets not forget European kings and FA cup holders! What do people want? Torres has started the season with more goals than all of last. Until the game on tuesday we had scored 20 goals in 5 games. I read a post further fown the page that said RVP would have converted those chances Torres has missed, Well answer this, what the F**k has he ever won? Torres has got one of the best trophy cabnets a footballer could have. Need I say more?
Anyway cheer up lads, at least we dont suoport Arsenal. Then we would have something to moan about!

Luke

25 Oct 2012 19:49:05
but thats not what the convo was about they were saying would van persie convert torres's ..... of course he would because torres is useless

curt

Agree2 Disagree9

We will see at the end of the season. I think torres will not be far away from Rvp with the amount of goals scored. Oh, and how many assits has Rvp got?
Like I said, get off the players backs. I have watched and waited a long time for Chelsea to be where they are now. european champions. You Curt you still picking holes and moaning. What did you think of Torres when he rounded valdes at the camp nou? Nuff said

Luke

Agree11 Disagree0

RVP currently has 3 assists in the premier league

Agree3 Disagree1

Curt why did you say "they were talking about" when it was you who said Rvp would have scored?

!

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes Luke!

PR!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Tores get alot more game time than RVP does tho, have to remember that before you compare them :)

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2012 13:36:24
when torres rounded valdes i was still saying we need a new striker ...........

torres will be no where near van persie this season he wont even hit double figures this season in the league

Curt that is a pathetic statement.

Well it's big match on this weekend
chelsea v/s man utd
lot of us blaming f. torres, mikel, ivanovic and even luiz for few bad performances in this season
well frankly ivanovic is doing decent job at right back
luiz is showing some maturing sign's and imroving his defendeing standard
mikel is working hard for the team and improving under RDM
about f. torres not upto his best level but still managed to score half a dozen in this season
last season he missed a sitter against man utd at home game in epl and since then he lost his full confidence out of which some was there
i am getting a feeling that this coming sunday we will get the real F. TORRES back
i think we will see the best F. TORRES performance in chelsea tshirt on weekend against man utd

SAMRAT

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Good call. Come on Torres!!

Luke

Agree4 Disagree1

Let's hope its the case:)
A win would really make united shake their pants about the title race.

Agree1 Disagree1

"i am getting a feeling that this coming sunday we will get the real F. TORRES back" You have NEVER had the real Fernando Torres. He is much different to what the real Torres was. Not saying he's worse, but not who he was

KiwiRed {Ed061's Note - Is it like the real slim shady?}

Agree0 Disagree0

One in the same thing. Fernando Torres IS the real slim shady

KiwiRed

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres has less pace now, and worse shooting but the rest of his play has improved, maybe apart from his dribbling

!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2012 18:46:14
does anyone know the cause of torres massive pace loss? If you watch some of his liverpool clips its ridiculos. The way he runs is hindering him. He he takes giant, long steps and before they were short and quick. Even two months before we bought him he tore us apart with pace and skill. If it was an injury that did it surely how?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Long injury often takes step of players pace, look at joe cole.

Azipicueta ramos luiz bertand
Oscar ramires
Hazard reus
Mata
Falcao

Possible future of chelsea?

3 players that we havent got and probably wont ever get ?? good effort

curt

Agree2 Disagree2

Oscar to play in reus place.....
romeu to step in alongside ramires in pivot role
ramos out cahill in

samrat

Agree4 Disagree1

Well everything is possible when it comes to player transfers but i really doubt its gonna happend. Ramous & Falcao is quite possible but i really doubt Reus is gonna be a chelsea player, and still abit unsure if Oscar is gonna cut it as a holding midfielder he has improved alot on his defensive play tho gonna x my fingers for it tho.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree = Torres was a good signing.
Disagree = Torres was a bad signing.

What makes a good signing? I would say value for money, resale value, consistent performances, and in terms of a striker, scoring goals. What do you guys think?

Believable9 Unbelievable12

Look, torres isnt going to play at a level that makes him worth 50 million, he isnt tht good. however, now that we have him, it doesnt mean he cant play at a level that would please the chelsea fans. he isnt there yet but i hope he does get there soon. im talking converting the easy chances that come his way, good hold up play (that weve generally seen this year) and working hard.

Agree5 Disagree2

To me everything happens for a reason and Torres was a good signing for worldwide publicity and shirt sales etc. He also won us the corner that Drogba scored from on the 19th May, good times.

A11

Agree6 Disagree0

Worst thing Chelsea did was play his debut against liverpool!

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Oct 2012 16:56:12
Seems to me that you lot still love Torres, i'll never know why. His comments to the press about not wanting the team to win, his diving and attitude toward the ref each game, and storming down the tunnel v QPR, are not even the main reasons why he should leave.
The reason is that he is simply wasting far too many chances and against better sides he will not get as many chances so will not score. You can't deny that he should have had more goals by now with the service he has been getting. And the price and wages are 2 more reasons why he has been a joke of a signing.

My expectations for the season:
1. Win the Club World Cup
2. A Top 3 finish in the PL
3. Champions League quarter final
4. Have a settled team playing a good brand of football, a team that will challenge for all titles next season. I am not OLIVER TWIST, but I can take more.

Dont really care about the club world cup or COC

Hi Ed, i've just seen the John Terry to Valencia story on the a website website, i know he's had a tough time lately and the club need to be seen to be doing something about it but is he really at loggerheads with the board or is something more being made of it?

Some people need to see Torres's record against Man u and then think again about their starting line ups.He was the one who single handedly demolished Vidic when he was probably the best defender in the world at that time and he did it time and time again.I know he is lacking the confidence he had back then, but last year in our 3-1 loss he was by far the best player on the pitch .True he missed a sitter but that was his own created chance ,but he also scored a brilliant goal.Remember Mata's volley in the second game who provided the cross?
Now he has scored against City,Arsenal and Newcastle all of whom are top teams as,proven last year.
Watch Sturridge carefully and tell me how he plays at the center ?He does create space for others ,which is the most vital part of our game now ,he drifts more to the edge of right wing most of the time and tries to come in as a winger and he does not head balls. He does not pass very often and he does not have the cleverness to make the runs that drags defenders away. What he is good at is arriving at the far post from wide right and finishing off chances. He has the confidence to take shots at goals and is good at dribbling with the ball when he plays out wide, but lacks the final pass.
With so much of his play happening out wide the managers ,who by the way are not dumb ,played him in the wing or as a second striker. As he does not do enough as a lone striker. Also he does not push from the from or steal balls which is vital when we press high up.
This is a system that fits Torres perfectly .He may not be the great striker he once was,but he has adapted perfectly to the system and is vital to the way we are play.We are playing a style of football is completely opposite to the style we had been playing for the last decade. The role of the striker is much than scoring only goals. One stupid loss that too after a long flight after beating Tottenham at home does not make everyone bad overnight.
To set into perspective how hard away games after the weekends are the defeats of Real Madrid,Man City.Arsenal lost at home ,Juve drew, Milan lost , so a loss in Ukraine is not the end of the world.Sure, a win would have been very good but with the Man u matches coming up and taking into account all the other factors the loss is understandable.Plus by playing in such a competitive league ,which is buy far the best in the world, going long distances to play is not easy. After all the players not machines.
Also some people are bashing Torres for what he said on TV about him not caring when he was not play, please read the context in which he said it and also Micheal Laudrup is not an person when he said his players to follow Torres's example.
Look as the forward inter linking play carefully next time and you will see how vital his contribution is.All the four have to play well for the style to click otherwise it does not work.
roan

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Correction: Sturridge does not create space for others and he also does not push from the front(not from the from). :-)
roan

Agree1 Disagree0

Torres was fast back then.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you roan ......
but our only concern is torres not able to score in one on one situation
against arsenal-man city-new castle(what a beautifull strike that was) he scored but that time he just strike the ball
but when he is having time to think and shoot he is just getting confused and now some times i am thinking he is getting afraid to take ball to his left and shoot with left foot in one on one situation after missing sitter against man utd in last season......

samrat

Agree1 Disagree0

Roan. Good post as always.

Luke

Agree0 Disagree0

A more intelligent post explaining why Sturridge would or wouldn't be better instead of just saying drop Torres and play Sturridge.

People, please get off rdm' back...he did a lot for us last season..the memories will always be there...
But this season, he has a more or less new chelsea team. its only october, he's been trying new things. sometimes it will pay off, other times it won't. have patience. he is learning, roman has put his faith in him. let him sort the team out.

the last thing we need is a manager change....

taby

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Taby do you remember the calibre of our last 5 or 6 coaches, world class. RDM is only back this season because of results and its the only thing that will keep his job so he better learn fast. The thing is dislike most about his coaching is how slow he is to recognise weak areas in the team and how slow he is to adjust or change them. Also much like with parenting, being ur child's friend should be 2nd to proper teaching and good coaches shouldn't care about being players friend, just make the right decision for the team.

People need to stop this unnecessary hate aimed towards Sturridge, last year if Sturridge didn't score the goals he scored at the first half of the campaign we would have probably finished 7th or 8th in the league.

Fans like Jack aren't needed! I personally like Sturridge, he takes chances, he shows hunger for goals and HE'S IS A CHELSEA PLAYER. I don't like Lampard in the team now a days but I won't slander him and say he doesn't deserve to wear a Chelsea Shirt, that would be a disgusting thing to say.

Zen11

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Half of the Chelsea fans on here are glory hunters, only happy when we win! Slate players when we lose! End of the day there human.... Not robots! People make mistakes n can't play to there best every game! Soo let's stop slating and get behind the team!
O yh got my tickets for Chelsea vs S Donetsk this time lets win! Lol

Wheelycfc

Agree6 Disagree2

Wheely whos the glory hunters? and who likes losing? i never liked studge but after last season i understood his game more, i want him to play up top now. aslong as he gets rid of his stupid little dances when he scores LOL BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree2

People tht like Torres n others eg di matteo mikel one min thn hate thm the next coz of one bad game here and there! Been playing well all season apart from a S Donetsk, now most people are haters! it's just a joke! Lol!
Yh his dance is rather stupid ... Be funny if they put it on FIFA tho lol!

Wheelycfc

Agree3 Disagree0

Well sed wheely. Used to be some good banter but now after any defeat all we hear is Mikel this, Torres that, rdm not good enough, formation not working. Lol it's kinda pathetic considering the start to the season we've had. What's the big problem? Torres is scoring, we have mata, oscar abd hazard, Mikel's playing better than ever, Ramires is playing cm more and more and were top of the bloody league with 2 hard away games won. Did I mention 4 points
clear at the top?
Marley

Agree4 Disagree0

Exactly Marley someone gets it! :)
Been looking on this site for over a year now but only just starting to put a sign off name.... Like u said there used to be gd banter, but now it's worse thn a soap!
U seen any games this year?

Wheelycfc

Agree1 Disagree0

Could not agree more, RDM won us the champions league, has us four points clear in the league and people are moaning like little girls because we lose a game. I am Chelsea 100 percent yes it hurts when we lose, but that is part of being a fan. Since roman arrived we have become spoiled and expect to win every game we play. There have been some amazing highs and a few lows, but I remember the pre roman years and it was more lows than it was highs. We should all be backing the squad and management because from what I have seen we could well become a very special team over the next few years, we need stability regards management not hiring and firing on a whim. If Jose was in charge at present we would be hailing his brilliance.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree completely. the only thing i do think is that almost every game i see torres miss a really easy chance. im not saying we should throw him out or that hes useless hes had a solid start to the season but as a fan it does get a little frustrating.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2012 06:19:27
funny how i was getting abuse about torres all last season saying he not good enuf and now everyone agreeing! sick to death hearing ppl keep sayin that he works hard! so bloody wot he should work hard but he also should be scoring a hell of a lot more goals! are u ppl forgetting how much we paid for this joke! to all the fans who are still backing him OPEN UR BLOODY EYES!!
