AVB recently said that he has the backing off abramovic, so hopeully he wont get the sack. If our season gets even worse than it is currently will AVB be allowed to experiment by buying players that will fit his playing style and offload players such as anelka, kalou, drogba. What positions will need to be added to for AVB to have made his mark on chelsea? And has Lavezzi been looked at as a option and would it be possible to bring him and cavani to the bridge?
thanks webbo

Why did we sign Miralem Pjanic considering he was a traget and joined Roma for a mere £12mil

I would like to see AVB give Bertrand his chance at LB if Cole doesn't recover from his injury by the Wolves game. These young players will never become quality Premiership players if they don't get Premiership games. McEachran has to get some time of the field too, as does Romeu. Obi Mikel playing in the holding role has never worked, he doesn't have the discipline to play there. Romeu has played CB and will fall back into that position when the FB's (and Luiz) roam forward better than Obi Mikel; plus he's looked better each time he's played.
With neither Drogba or Torres hitting top form Lukaku needs some time on the pitch too, he may be going out on loan in January but why not give him some time now!
This side is still in need of a right footed RW as an alternative to Sturridge and another LW so Mata can move into the hole; at times he's wasted out wide and would be more influential in a central position.
For me David Luiz was having his best game of the season for us in midweek until he was taken off, he was playing a much mire simple game and looked better for it. Cahill would still be a good signing and a worthy replacement for Alex.

i would have been quite happyif chelsea actuaslly sed were gunna squad rebuild this season and play some of the youngsters, but instead we havent hardly played them. surely romeu wont do worse than mikel. or mceachran with ramire? or even rest cole and play bertrand.

Hi everyone,

Just like to hear the Chelsea fans thoughts on Torres. Do you think he needs more playing time? Or do you think his body language at the moment warrants a place on the bench.. Do you also see him fitting into Chelsea's style of play? I for one know that Torres is a 1 man band up front. He likes to be left to do his thing by himself, you stick somebody up with him, he isnt the same player. Possibly if you played Lampard just behind Torres, he could suply him with the goals.. Just a thought, but as a Liverpool fan it worked well for us.

Torres is class and only think lacking I feel is quality to supply him, when he was on ffire for Liverpool he had alonso and gerrard playing him everything then nattual wingers like reira supping crosses. Need some natal width and good playmakers

Agree1 Disagree2

I agree.. torres like to be on his own..he just need half chance to finish it..if u watch his goals..u can see..his finihsing capabilities..are execptional...also we nhe was in liverpool..he had a great partnership and understanding with gerrard. alonoso...and other team members..since he was tghe lone strikers and always played together..but with chelsea hvaing a rotating system and a no of strikers..he finds himself not able to find that partnership with the wingers or attacking midfielders...there is no doubt about his quality..wen u buy a great player..make sure..u analysie how he use to play..and hwo u need to adjust him to play....

Agree2 Disagree0

Exactly what chelsea fans have been thinkin the wholde time, he hasnt lost it! i just dont think hes happy in london, the media aint helping. id like to see mata behind him and a new left and right winger on the pitch so form like a diamond up front when attacking. if torres is gunna work he cant have lampard on the pitch. why is because lampard makes late runs into torres area which over crowds torres terrortry

Agree1 Disagree0

Hes quality mate, i think we need play 4411 to accomodate him, problem is we havent got the players to play that, the 433 just doesnt fit and we concede too many goals in it, like the guy above id play Mata just off him, the rest of midfield is a bit of a bodge job but im sure AVB knows this now and will sort it out in jan/summer, i dont think we need 30/40 mil players, just effective players in the positions we need and then just let good tactics, team spirit, torres and mate do the rest

Torres has gone. You can see it in his yes and his body language. He's become aware of his own fallibility - over the past year he's had some poor form, criticism and lots of little injuries. He hasn't got the kind of psychology to put these things out of his head - he's a sensitive flower. I like Torres, but he's starting to get the same look about him that Michael Owen got when he realised he wasn't going to conquer the world and his hamstrings went.

Agree3 Disagree2

Totally agree,he has "gone",what is it now.2 goals in 20 matches,no Van Persie is he,its nothing to do with the service he gets, hes missing chances left right and centre, should cut our losses and ship him back to Pool, things dont always work out for some players, need to get shut.

Agree1 Disagree1

Leave Torres alone. Torres is the result of a poor midfield. What will it take to ditch Lampard, Mikel, Malouda and start using younger players. Unless we give them some play time will never know. Just do it.

Agree2 Disagree1

He will never be the player he once was. Now he's older had some serious knee and hamstring problems that are not just going to go away. To think he will return to form is wrong. He will still show us flashes of the one great player he was but in all honesty it's time we moved on and got a hungry striker in. Not one who's body language says it all.

Agree3 Disagree1

The player he once was? do you mean a player that was in a team that couldnt win the league. torres could lead us to title after title within the next 4 years if he gets the supply he needs. you guys need to support your players and club or just neck up and keep it to yourselfs.

ED02 do you know if chelsea have held any talks with AVB over his position at the club are the club regretting moving for such a young manager? {Ed002's Note - There have not been any such talks.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hang on. The very people who brought him here need to go with him. I think Roman is too preoccupied with his court case and hasn't kept his eye on the ball.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - So you know zip about the club. Move on.}

Time to sack AVB and bring Zola or Petrescu in

cozinoz

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Fan of both as players, but any change from AVB now should surely be to more experienced manager (eg Hiddink) plus someone they could mentor. Would have liked Hiddink and AVB as partnership from start. Only other route would be to find AVB a seasoned Assistant manager who could help sort out dressing room as well as on pitch matters-- Steve Clarke or someone like him imho. But would AVB see anything in way of assistance (eg Hidding as temp adviser) as losing face? If so, sit back and hope that all will be better in a couple of seasons when older players have moved on and AVB has bedded in?

Agree3 Disagree0

Give up on the get rid of AVB campaign you bloody bandwagon supporters. we dont want you guys at our club. you bring nothing but negativity and to be honest im surprised you call yourselves supporters. its because of people like you that we have had 7 managers in 4 years. you guys are jokes

Pato yes great young addition
Higuain Yes great technical player strong and good feet
Kaka no at 30 years old we are trying to start a fresh with great young talent
Cahill yes great English centre bk a younger John terry

But as for midfield where I think we lack the most To old to slow or in mikel case just rubbish maybe Diego or hazard with a dm like Rodwell and a big am to replace lampard (gotze)

With cech never the keeper he was the only option is courtois
And after him we have no one

Right back slot is a must v d wiel looks good
