So with the possibility of Terry retiring this summer, who would you guys choose as the new captain?
Personally I feel like either Azpilicueta or David Luiz exhibit the right qualities to take over, both in consistency and love for the club.

Azpilicueta For me, by all accounts is the best in training leads by example and even when he has a bad game you can't question his commitment.

Agreed, and on top of that, it seems like he genuinely loves the club and wants to stay for as long as possible.

I've said Azpilicueta for the past couple of seasons and see no reason why he shouldn't be given it once Terry goes.

I think Dave is the player of the year for me! Not sure about being skipper. If Cesc was a automatic first choice I think I might pick him.

For me luiz or costa if he stays could be the making of him under conte.

I'd personally go for Luiz just because he's a little bit more extroverted than Dave but I think both merit the armband. I don't see Cahill being a consistent first choice next year and I don't see Cesc staying beyond the summer.

I've been a season ticket holder for 54 years. So I tried to create my best ever eleven. With the exception of Ken Sheleto and Peter Osgood the rest of team come from the last 13 years. My view is that we have a lot to thank Roman for!

Would Zola or Petrescu not make your team Tommy?
Have to agree with you though we have had the privilege to see some amazing players come and go juring Romans time in charge.

I know he didn't last long but I still think the 18 to 21 year old Alan Hudson would make the team.

Tommy B: What was your first home game? I would be close to you in all time but I would have McCreadie at left back over Ashley Cole; master of the sliding tackle.

My first game was I think Walsall at home on boxing day. At the time we were 7pts clear at the top of the 2nd division and I think walsall were bottom. We lost 1-0. I should have realised then that supporting Chelsea had its share of heart ache!

Alan Hudson and John Hollins had there moments at our club but I can't forget what they both said about the mighty blues after they left. I look for the complete package. Class player who loves the club!

Tommy B: Mine was the year we won the First Division in 1955 against Wolverhampton Wanderers, a 1-0 win scored by Peter Sillett. After years of being dragged to Fulham I thought 'this is it' and like you what a roller castor ride it has been ever since.

I still think that Hudson scored the greatest ever Chelsea goal away to Burnley in a mid-week match. I have searched for it on internet but think it may not have been filmed - a real shame.

C1915, you had the good fortune to watch Jimmy Greaves. That nust have been fantastic. I've always been suprised and disapointed he never came back to the bridge to presented to the fans at half time.

Alan Hudson did score some good goals, but anyone at White Hart Lane for the League Cup Semi-Final in 1972 will never forget Chris Garland's piledriver.

I was at the Spurs game with my Dad who wanted to leave early to miss the traffic and see extra time on the TV - we missed the Knowles miskick for our winner - nice one Cyril.

Tommy B: Saw Jimmy Greaves, Barry Bridges and Bobby Tamblings first home games. Greaves was one of the best goal poachers I have ever seen along with Denis law especially in the air for a small man.
