Hello lads, ladies and Eds.

Its me again with my weekly question.

So the question is who you think was/is most over rated and under rated players? It can be someone famous or someone unfamous which should have been famous.

My answers would be pirlo as under rated player as in my eyes he should be labelled as wolrd class player in my eyes he is better than xavi or iniesta.

Over rated player has to be either rooney or balloteli both are terrible and plays for worst teams in the world.

By the way thanks for your replies and for keeping this site entertaining we have few discussions and site looks much better already keep it up!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - over rated Rooney or Beckham for me. I wouldn't include Balotelli as most people think he is crap. No wait, that probably is over rating him thinking about it.

Under rated would be Vinny Jones. Strange choice I know, but people don't realise he could play a bit as well as kick people. He even went a whole season without a booking once, when his manager asked him to concentrate on playing football. Most of the time he was just asked to put his foot in and he did that.}

Most over rated for me would have to be Hulk.

Most under rated would be Paul McGrath.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - Hulk is definitely up there for me. And Rafael only because ed004 can't get off his knob}

ill make my answers pertain to the epl presently.
Overrated: Robin van Persie for me has to be up there. He had two fantastic seasons (2011-2013) but has had overall disappointing years beyond that. He also always seems to be carrying an injury. Mesut Ozil is an obvious selection but I feel people are beginning to see he was a product of his environment at Madrid. Jack wilshire is also up there for me. England as a whole is desperate to champion him after any above average performance. he's constantly injured, a poor professional, and basically a product of being so young when he got introduced to the big time.
Underrated:Fernandinho and Matic are both incredibly underrated. credit so commonly goes to the guys ahead of them but these guys allow the likes of toure and fabregas to play the way they do. Also Jordan Henderson, he was s_ _ _ when he got to Liverpool but the work he puts in is covering for Gerard's lack thereof.

Agree0 Disagree0

Over-rated - Glen Johnson - his positional play is still as bad as it was for us.
Over-rated - David Luiz (but only by PSG!).
Over-rated - definitely Rooney - world class my arse!
Under-rated - Aspilicueta, Dennis Wise, Gareth Barry (a bit leftfield but I think he should still be playing for England).
Becoming over-rated - Lallana.

Agree0 Disagree0

Overrated: Hulk, David Luiz and Rooney
Underrated: Azpilicueta, Pirlo and Kagawa

Agree0 Disagree0

Overrated Rooney and hulk and shaw

Underrated - Di Maria (on here lol), azpillicueta

Agree0 Disagree0

Overrated ; rio Ferdinand
Underrated; I would have to say ivanovic. For a centre half to play right back, nine times out of ten they would be awful. Ivanovic is really consistent and not just this season. Maybe moving back to centre half when terry calls it a day.

Over rated - Gerrard, headless chicken who runs around a lot with no tactical awareness. Talented player with no football brain who leaves his team mates exposed.

The team looks fantastic and Willian played a blinder on Tuesday. But how would everyone feel if we was to buy Sterling in the summer. Imagine him and Hazzard on the wings! For me he would be a top draw signing. Also I think having the option of Matic, Cesc, Mikel, Ake and Rami as CM is awesome. Brings a lot of stability in that area, as they all seem happy with their roles. Just the same could be said about up top, Costa 1, Remy 2 and Drogba 3. Such a good squad

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If Sterling would come in, another attacking midfielder would have to go out IMO. 6 players for 3 positions, someone's going to be unhappy no matter what.
I'd be happy if we signed him, but I wouldn't regret it or feel bad if we didn't get him.
Either way, there's very little chance of him joining I think. I'm kind of hoping that Traore gets a place in the first team next year. He's got all the potential in the world

Sterling for the most part runs around like a headless chicken and is completely over rated yet again because he is English and has a little bit of pace about him. let's see if he can find some consistency to his play before even contemplating buying him. Don't get me wrong he does have good potential but this season his form has been average at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give me a break we have lots of good players that could end up as good if not better than sterling. B. Traore, Boga just of the top of my head. I'd rather sign Reus than Sterling, heck I'd prefer Draxler, same age but he seems a more solid player, a Jose type player and he wouldn't be coming from Liverpool. Sterling is good but really just a luxury we can do without. Plus he has Madrid written all over him. If he's a smart boy he'll stay with the scouse for at least two more years, but if he must please oh please not to us.:)

Don't like it very much. Agree with the sentiments of giving boga and Traore a shot as they are both somewhat close to playing a role in the squad. Also agree that he hasn't done it over a long enough time period to even begin to think about shelling the money out that Liverpool would ask.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think our whole budget for the next 2 years should be spent getting Sterling and Barkley in.

All we need in my opinion is player of superb quality. reus/draxler/rodriguez type of player to work some magic next to hazard and oscar.

I know everyone has their opinion of who is the best player they have seen, but I was wondering who is your favourite player ever and why?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Easy Ronaldinho. Why? Do you even have to ask.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes, a lot will remember him as a fat drunk.....}

Fair enough ED001. maybe the young ones but I remember him as probably the most entertaing player ever. He made the game look so easy, had fun doing it and my word did he make defenders look silly. He made non football lovers like the game cause he brought that freestyle, free spirit and did it mighty fine too, not just flicks and tricks with no end product. When you think he can top what he had done in a previous game he comes up with something better and knows how to celebrate too :). Stunning player a shame he faded quickly but still my favourite player.
Made the beautiful game, well beautiful.

{Ed001's Note - great explanation mate.}

I'd go with Ronaldinho as well. I'm not going to explain my choice, since ELI took the words out of my mouth. Indeed a great explanation and exactly the reason I'd go with him.

Based on entertainment value I would say messi. Hate his team but he is quite simply from a different planet. Ronaldo is a product of incredible work but messi was just born different.

Rickie lambert deserves a mention just due to his story.

Agree0 Disagree0

It has to be Christiano Ronaldo who is rapidly becoming the greatest player ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

C.Ronaldo or ronaldinho
