Just read on the Real Madrid page that Moreno would like to join them. If so, I think the club should turn their attention elsewhere. Don't need players who will want to leave our club as soon as Real comes calling.
Never seen that Kurzawa guy play so can't comment, but preferably Shaw, and otherwise Rodriguez for me.

Most Spanish players want to play for Real or Barca. In fact I'm pretty sure every player regardless of nationality would jump at the chance to join Real. Hazard has said before that he'd want to play for them, should we not have bought him? I wouldn't rule players out for wanting to play for Real.

Agree0 Disagree0

I want filipe luis he was the best player on the pitch before he went off and has been amazing the whole season

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I realise most spanish players want to play for barca or madrid eventually, but it's just that I think he's a little small as well. I don't know if he'd be defensively strong enough for the premier league. And I think the left back we buy should be starter quality so Azpi can shift back to the right of the defense, thus giving us more width in attack.

Shaw, Shaw, Shaw

Costa is going to sign and his going to be a flop due to his constant injuries, £32m waste, I can see it now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah, starting to think that as well. It seems atletico have been rushing him back from those hamstring injuries without letting it fully heal. It's a concern the medical team should carefully examine if they want to bring him in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why you are so confident that D.Costa will sign for Chelsea, easily it could be Cavani or Mandzukic.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - or Costa and Cavani}

From almost every paper in England Spain, ssn saying it's all but done deal, I just don't want same thing as when we got Torres. A player has that one injury that either always a risk or loses that yard of pace, falcao is man I want badly but what's he going to be like after his injury,, cavani seems for and good condition a lot of the time,

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - Torres and Falcao have had knee problems. Costa has a bum hamstring. He should be able to recover and not lose any pace. Plus he's younger than Falcao}

Hopefully, costa did have bad knee injury 2/3 years ago and missed a lot of the season, I think anyway, may be wrong,

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - yea I think you're right. That's why I want Costa and Cavani}

Ed018 I am sure that you are aware that Cavani can join Chelsea only as part of exchange deal including Eden Hazard who is and will be number one PSG target.

Don't know why, but I really want Pogba! Actually I do know, just imagine him and Matic in our midfield. Physical domination is guaranteed against 99% of the teams out there. And both are quite technical as well. Think Pogba could be brilliant for us.
Those 2 as starters and MVG, Chalobah and Lampard (in a part time role) for rotation purposes. Try and sell Mikel and Ramires (Rami perhaps going the other way to Juve on favourable terms) to further fund the move for Pogba.
Not sure if Barkley can play in deeper midfield so Pogba's the man for me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would love it to happen but I just can't see it he is going to cost 50-60 mil we have to beef up the striking options first, not denying his talent but people seem to totally forget about Ginkel

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't forget MVG mate, he could be the 3rd option for 2 positions. That would give him ample playing time. And we were going to buy a new striker anyways, so the extra money could be spent on a great midfielder, i.e. Pogba.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah pogba will be mighty expensive but Barkley and Vidal who are both popular names would be similarly high. If you throw rami in there with a value of £25m you could probably get him for another £25m. He would absolutely be my first choice midfielder next year. He has absolutely everything: ability on the ball, size/strength, a motor, mobility, and can hit some screamers from range.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be happy with any one of Pogba, Barkley, Vidal, Kroos, Modric, Fabregas, Rakitic or Koke

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - you pretty much covered it}

I was starting to hope Rakitic would join, but that was when I thought Luiz would still be here as well. With Luiz gone, I really think the club should target world class potential, someone who has it all. And that's really Pogba for me. We should target Barkley in my opinion IF we lose Oscar.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Q.Jordan but i'd prefer Pogba, Kroos, Vidal in that order. Ed018 who would you want to replace Oscar if he were to leave? I'd go for Reus and play Willian in the no10 role or play more of a 4-3-3.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - I don't want Oscar to leave. I'd rather see Vidal replace Ramires.}

Yeah I wouldn't want Oscar to leave ed018. I'd love Vidal to replace Rami. But I was just wondering who you'd want should Oscar leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - switch to a 4-4-2 with Costa and Cavani up top with Hazard behind them. Matic, Ramires and Vidal or Rakitic in the midfield. Don't see a reason to replace Oscar if they let him leave. I'd rather see them change the formation at that point}

Wouldn't that be a waste of our wide players then? Although now that you said it, I do think if we let him leave we'll probably switch formation.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - yea maybe, but I'm just playing along. It's what I'd do if they sold Oscar, which I hope they don't}

Fairplay ed. Whilst I still hold high hopes for Oscar, I'm not sure if he'll consistent next season. Most attribute his inconsistency to the amount of games he's played and having to travel far for international's. His decline in form since December could be attributed to saving himself for the WC but unless he can prove his consistency, I think he might go next summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - I'd like to think we'd give him one more season, he's still young and the potential is there but like you said he's got to be more consistent}

If I was in charge of transfers out:
Luiz, torres, eto, ba, cole, Lampard, mikel, ramires, Moses, Marin, ivanovic, Oscar, Bertrand, romeu.

In

Pogba, Costa, cavani, lukaku, varane, shaw, reus, kroos/rakitic/fabregas.

Would vastly improve our team as well as lowering the overall age of our squad considerably! If we are lucky the revenue from sales could mean we would only have to spend net max £50 to get the additions. What are other peoples thoughts?

Sad to see luiz go but think the money is going to come in handy over the summer and he probably wasn't going to be first choice next year if we bought a new cm.
Another thought is that cavani is probably a no go this summer (my favourite option for cf) as we would surely have been trying to negotiate a swap plus some money if we could? I wouldn't mind losing oscar to psg for cavani either as he has been very poor since Christmas and think we could replace him more easily than finding a top class cf. we MUST keep hazard!

With Luiz on his way, will Varane be a priority? He would fit the bill!
