I wonder is there any chance we will be sending AVB out on loan for experience next season with the rest of our young talented hopefuls.

Sad to see you all arguing amongst yourselves. If your all such loyal cfc fans then you would know that these really are not such bad times. Just think back to John hollins as manager they were real dark days. Basically one one man makes the big dessisions at the bridge these days and it's not the manager, believe me they will stick with avb at least till end of season. Jose is not the answer if you really want long term plans he is short term just look at his record. I don't think avb is the right man now but have to face facts I don't think he will leave this season. So best to back the team regardless of who is the manager.

AVB has gotta go, if he worked on our defence before the Napoli game and then played Torres instead of Drogba, we would have scored at least 3! Napoli's defence is just poo!

Believable5 Unbelievable6

What makes you think Torres playing wouldve helped our goal tally? You been hiding under a rock?

Melbourne CFC

Agree2 Disagree1

Torres works for the team and creates chances for others, Drogba is completely up his own apse to be honest!

I can't help but think that if the whole of Stamford Bridge started to chant AVB's name at the next game, and shown massive support towards him, that it would go along way to helping the club in the short and long term. If he knew he had the backing of the fans and we were in support of him, then it would be a sharp wake up call to the whole club and the players. Maybe they would decide that instead of fighting against him, the best thing they could do for the club and themselves, and their future at the club, would be to trust him and play for him.

I don't think this will happen for one second obviously....and i'm sure some would say rightly so. But if by some miracle it did happen, then i think it could be a turning point for us, not just for this season, but for the club itself.

OsgoodIsKing

Believable8 Unbelievable3

If it was beneficial to the club i would definitley sing his name next game regardless of what i think about him, will it improve his tactic/selections?im not convinced but its worth a try, nice games coming up aswel if hes gonna do it hes gotta start now

Something simple, that everyone knows, like 'AVB' to the A-team theme.. kinda works?

SHED END

I sit in the west stand and yes in general we are fairly quiet but in defence there are a lot of people that go for one off games and dont know the songs so its quite hard to get an atmosphere going from our side. Id love to join in the chant though. Something similar to the tune of spurs' one for van der vaart?

I don't get this attitude with chelsea mangers, with having exceptional young players, at the club & also being brought in. Then sending them out on loan, sometimes for years. If there good enough, then age doesn't matter. Now when we had a great manager & team, it was essential we kept a winning team together, hence all the silverware. But now we are shocking in most position's & have been all season. The youngsters should be getting a run out. They would show 10 times the hunger of the likes of meireles, malouda, bosingwa, etc..............
This would then gives us a full copliment on the field, instead of being handicapped, with these waste of space, that avb keeps playing.

The fans are mainly frustrated about the tactics AVB is employing at the moment.Regarding the matter of AVB,Shed is one hundred percent correct. Can anyone explain to me why AVB started with Ramires and Mireles ,players who do not know how to tackle,as holding midfielders when they had Essien on the bench, even Mikel is a better tackler than those two,and that too away from home.He could also have played Romeu in that position.Away from home when you do not want to concede goals we essentially had no holding midfielders, when at home we play regularly with at least one holding midfielder. If a plan is not working at least have a plan b,which he does not seem to have.He plays with the same formation day in and day out ,when it is clearly not working. If he does not want to play the old guard ,at least he could have played Josh, who had already played a few games under Ancelotti and could actually pass the ball, instead he sent him on loan.Shed was correct when he said that AVB is clueless because his tactics do not make one bit of sense. Why sign De bruyn and send him on loan, when it's clear that we do not have wingers and are in desperate need of one.
roan

Believable3 Unbelievable0

How many times does ed need to tell you, this isn't football manager, AVB doesn't have a budget that he spends himself on players, he may have a say, but certainly not 100% power. He had next to nothing to do with de Bruyne, so people should stop blaming him.

I have to admit, that when I post,I don't normally sign, this has been, because, I can't be bothered.
But I have been using this site for a couple of seasons now. I have been calling for AVB to be sacked since september (unlike poor shed end, who has been attacked, for saying this, for just a few weeks), he has been cosistantly, making the same mistakes game after game.
The idiot's on here will say give him more time, let him build his own team. But with his non man management skills, his bad team selection's, his lack of giving some world class youngsters a chance, & his awful tactics. This is not the man to trust with our beloved club.
Having said that, if he was going to be replaced with a capello, benitez, moyles etc... Instead of Jose. Then it may be prudent to keep him, but with a proper director of football, my choice would be Zola.
In this post he could advise, take the odd session with the kids & be our ambassador.
As well as this, I would get rid of roberto ( to nice a bloke) & replace with Poyet. But give poyet the power to put AVB in his place, when he doesn't listen. The problem was we signed AVB about 10 years early. So either get rid of him & replace with Jose or put loyal chelsea legends in, with the power to help him.
North Stand, now, if you idiot's want to have a pop at me, bring it.
This may take a little heat off you shed end.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

World class youngsters? What makes u think we're awash with such talent? Do u watch them train everyday?
And poyet be his number 2 , dream on , he's doing great things being the main man at Brighton, why would he want to be a number 2.
Cfcmatt.

Agree1 Disagree1

Anyfc matt,
Our academy is up there with any club at the moment, we continue to be there or there about's, every year in the FA youth cup, has well as many other foreign competition's. If you watched chelsea TV, you would regularly see them play.
Being no 2 at a club like chelsea, could be a better position then being no 1 at brighton. If you were a true chelsea fan, thats how you would feel.
Perhaps it's time you changed your team AGAIN.
That's one person put in his place.

Derbyshire dave, your a spurs fan, under Ramos where you calling to give him time at the start of his project?before you say it yeah you were bottom, but what was it 8 games, you wouldnt of finished bottom obviously, prob mid table, we should be in 6/7 and miles off the pace would it not be for liverpool and arsenal, were only in the Fa Cup because we drew Pompy/Qpr/Brum/lecicester(assuming we get through), Dont come on here saying 8 months isnt enough time when for your team sack people after 8 games

SHED END

Agree0 Disagree0

Shed end i only want him to stay cos he is making you look poor, you are certainly punching under your weight as for ramos we were in bottom three mate not top 5

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with original post, it's the consistant poor tactics and team selection that are wearing thin. A reluctance to admit that things are noy working and try something different. Getting rid of Alex and persisting with Luiz who makes the same mistakes game after game.
Whoever the manager is players will be moving on in the summer and if AVB is pushing for more players like Mereiles then this worries me. having watched the 2 Porto v Man City games the players we were linked with from Porto don't look like anything special and certainly not any better than we currently have.
I am not critiscising AVB for making mistakes, we are all human and all make mistakes but he has to be able to admit when he has made them and learn from them, something he seems reluctant to do at the moment.

Agree1 Disagree0

The original poster is an empty-head, I have never read such a s**te in all my time coming to this site. You say he has no man management skills because he wont be a good little boy and keep his mouth shut and let the players run the club. ARE YOU BLIND OR STUPID, finally we have a manager with enough balls to tackle the player power that is a cancer killing our club. Sack AVB and bring in another yesman good idea, you stupid stupid man.
EAST STAND

Agree3 Disagree0

The original poster is deluded! Blames AVB's man management skills when it is evident there is a core group of players that cannot be managed! World class youngsters? Your off your head! Please name one youngster who doesnt get games that can be considered 'world class'. We have NONE! Not many teams do! Zola as director of football? I love Zola, he was one of main reasons i became a chelsea fan some 15 years ago but director of football? Come off it mate.
I lost all faith in you post as soon as you said you 'cant be bothered' signing your post. Not a hard task in all.

United fan in peace.

The problem is the players, not the manager. Several extremely talented Chelsea managers have now failed and butted heads with Chelsea's 'old guard'.

As long as guys like Terry, Lampard, Drogba continue to undermine whatever manager is put in place, you will fail, no other way around it.

The inmates should not be running the asylum and for the past few seasons that has been the case at SB.

Not every one of these managers can have been a failure, it doesn't make sense - somewhere along the line Roman and the players need to be held to account.

AVB was never ready for this job but Roman continues to treat your club like a toy - he chooses 'flavour of the month' every time he picks a manager without considering how effective the man will be. He decides on transfers, meddles in the team.

You won't get any sort of solidarity while this is going on - from the owner, to the manager to the players, everyone needs to be on the same page.

Too many egos bumping up against each other. Time to sell the old guard and rebuild.

( Funniest post ever ) haHA

It's because of fans like shed end , that I stopped going to games. I was season ticket holder for 10 years , then the influx of glory hunting clowns like shed end appeared when roman came along , all the singing stopped and the flag waving started.
I bet shed end was one of those who boo'd Jose at the end but now wants him back.
AVB has only been in the job 8 months , and how does the old saying go, Rome wasn't built in a day.
Yes he's making afew mistakes , probably too many but I think his hands are tied, too many older players happy to see out there contracts and pick there money up. But the blokes not been give the money to assemble his group of players. And he obviously thinks the younger players aren't capable of getting us into the top 4. He see's them train everyday and is in a better posistion to judge than anyone on here.
So shed end ( or as I like to call you, shed end) keep wearing your replica shirt with " lampard" on the back and playing on your Xbox thinking you know more than everyone else.

Believable12 Unbelievable5

This comment was completley untrue, ive been going to games for 17 years, my dad 30+, why do i keep having to justify myself as a fan because im of the opinion that AVB is too inexperienced,
p.s Ive never played on an xbox in my life, i prefer the pub to playstations/xbox, the only player i have ever had on the back of a shirt is Zola, and i never wanted jose out

this story is exactly whats wrong with chelsea. frank lampard has been starting for chelsea for the last 10 years its been ok for him to watch somebody else sit on the bench in all that time while hes gets all the glory and rightly so as hes had some excellent seasons. now its his turn to sit on the bench as hes no longer the future of chelsea and hes threw his teddy out the pram. stuff like this should be kept inhouse yet selfish frank wants whats best for him as the euros are coming in the summer. chelsea need a clear out starting with the likes of lampard, cole, drogba etc. you dont need people like lampard who are gonna sulk when they dont get there own way. over-rated and a bad shot merchant.

Shak

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Your right mate, if theyre moaning about not playing its wrong, but if theyre moaning that the training isnt good enough then its a bit different, if the seniors players all come out and say 'look the training just isnt right' its needs to be addressed because they may actually be right and it could be beneficial to everyone including AVB if we identify problems and solutions to do with how we train,

And come on pal, 'over-rated bad shot merchant', after all hes done for this club your calling him that, he is and will always be super frankie lampard

Frank Lazard is an absolute legend and deserves respect. Maybe his time is coming to an end at chelsea but this whole thing could have been managed so much better. I'm only interested in getting back on track and we need to back our coach.

Agree0 Disagree0

If lamps cant make the starting 11 for chelsea, how does he expect to play for england? I know its avb and the coaches call but i think he needs to accept he not where he was 5 years ago and now he has to buckle down and work harder than ever
Jono cfc syd

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with almost everything said here except the over-rated bad shot merchant call, but Shed if Frank is coming out and complaining about the training along with cole and drogba I think more than showing there is a problem with training it shows a real problem with our past core players. They should be professional enough to just train hard, not band together to put more pressure on AVB. Realisticly AVB has a shot of being here next year, more so than those players IMO.

Melbourne CFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on - the Chelsea old guard are like a group of high-school bullies. If the manager even dares to dream about dropping them, they'd expect an apology in the morning and if it wasn't received......well, start a changing room mutiny knowing that a new manager will be in by the summer. Or go and tell Roman, so he can meddle some more.

If AVB had've been managing in any other industry/job sector he would've been sacked a while ago! No excuses! The managers job is to utilise what you have in your squad and win football matches. He's not doing that! He doesn't have the players to play his tactics and hes got no plan B! It looks like he's trying to make us lose! Leaving Cole, Lampard and Essien on the bench in the biggest match of our season to date was outrageous!

I'm sorry to say but he has to go! I just wish we got harry redknapp in the summer! We need someone to take the reigns for the rest of this season to get us top 4 then bring back the special one!
