In our last two games against Spurs we have conceded four goals.
The final pass / cross have all come from the same player and from our left hand side.

Ericson has good delivery and our marking wasn't always the best but we should have worked harder on closing down these crosses.
Other teams will play on this weakness!

Clinical beat style yesterday but I will take it every time. Alonso has been a big surprise to me this season BUT going forward, his defensive attributes are poor and we need a natural left footed player behind him. Pedro has also surprised me but once again he is an impact player not a 90 minute one and yesterday he disappeared after the first ten minutes. I cannot see at his age, Bats being our answer up front or as a sub and we need to buy urgently. What is it with Courtois and his slow clearances from a back pass, he puts us and himself in all sorts of trouble; get it away. I thought Erickson was absolutely superb yesterday and I would love him or similar to pick some of our players.

We should've done better to close down Eriksen but we have to remember not every team has a player with delivery like him and finishers like Kane/ Alli. I'm delighted with the win and can't wait to celebrate the double!

G8: That was brutal. I have supported Chelsea for 62 years so if you know your Chelsea history you will know I have been to hell and back several times. I don't love Chelsea, I support them but never get obsessive about them and want to see improvements as much as any supporter. If anyone thinks the current team will mount a serious challenge in Europe then they are delusional, the team needs improvements. For me, on the left of defence 'if' Ake fails to impress, a play maker like Fabregas but not as fragile and a centre forward able to head the ball and less temperamental; never a Costa fan myself.

C1915 I'm thinking around the same thing, if we have any ambition of realistically wining the champions league next season or having another good crack at next season premiership, we need to replace Gary Cahill, matic, and Costa, I love chelsea as much as anybody but I will not close my eyes and pretend our players are better than they are, when they play bad for a long time, I also think I'm being positive as I'm saying 3 quality signings and I think we could win the champions league, that's pretty positive in my book.

The Saints on Tuesday, need to keep the momentum going with a strong start. In theory they have little to play for, but they always give us a difficult game.

yesterday it proves Alonso brings balance to our team.
id drop costa because he hasn't done nothing in weeks. Willian deserves to start plus pedro and hazard don't deserve to be dropped.

Ake gives great balance also, always wants the ball, good passer, and being left footed he can open his body and play up the line, with him we can build attacks from defence, basically the exact opposite to Cahill who is right footed and doesn't want to go wide left, isn't very good at passing or can't see a pass, can't play up the line with left peg, doesn't want the ball, doesn't know what to do when he has it, except get the ball from courtois panic do a 360 degree turn then pass it back to the keeper, I think we need to fase Cahill out and ake in over the end of this season going to preseason, ready for next season.
