Need to get off Torres's case. He is not the cause of the mess we are in. If he has the delivery he will shine. Our midfield is too defensive, and wingers rubbish when they go forward.

Its not a case of getting off his back. Its Torres's physical condition that is the subject people are reluctant to raise. Ramon Cugat is the surgeon of choice for many of Spain's footballers and it was him who operated twice on Torres's knee and helped him recover from his hamstring complaints . Even before this during 2009-10 Torres had begun catching regular flights to Cugat's Clinica Quirón in Barcelona. Cugat has since warned him of future arthritis and joint replacements. Following one of those Barcelona trips Torres said and I quote "I can't imagine what state I'll be in within five or six years if I continue to play in England," "It could easily give me problems when I stop. The physical demands are superior to all other countries." For a striker who game is all about busts of speed this is not what he wants to hear. He may still show us signs of the once great player he was but it will not be on a weekly basis and I think our club should plan for this. Maybe he should stay on the Liverpool bus.

Hi ed a couple of weeks back you mention a possible interest in a midfielder which somehow was subject to the de Bruyne deal, are you going to divulge that info to us? Please don't feel there's pressure in this question cheers mate {Ed002's Note - I feel no pressure thanks and I cannot at this time say who it is.}

Alot of people discussing the rebuilding of Chelsea. I agree, it takes time to identify where you strengths and weakness are and it also takes time for a manager to settle in, find his best 11, sign players and have them players implement a positive impact to the football club. Unfortunately, your owner demands instant success and so do you as fans. Football has become a game where time = money. Like my team, we are in the same boat. A new manager, lots of new players and new strategy to combat some sort of premier league push. Its only natural to crave success, but sacking and hiring people on a constant basis, lowers the stability of the football club and creates a 3 way divide bewteen the board, the players and you as fans. You have a young manager, with exciting ideas. He hasnt particularly had it all his way with the signings either so give him time. I'm sure it wont be long until Chelsea are back to their best, and with that positivity, the peices of the jigsaw will slowly come together, Torres MIGHT even start scoring (hopefully not). Sitting on the fence, i think like us your priority is Champions League football and a F.A Cup or Carling cup. Its probably not what Chelsea fans want or are used to hearing but the reality is.... This basically.

Stay patient and enjoy your football

Everyone needs to chill out a bit, yh these results are hurting and are hard to take, but we're rebuilding, if nothing else these losses serve a purpose in identifying probelm areas and highlighting that we need to take action, take it on the chin lads we'll have the last laugh, freshen up a touch in jan, come into form just in time to have a fair chance at the cups, another freshen up in the summer and we'll be back

I hope you are right, and that we do start to get shot of the older players.
The board are to blame as we have not invested properly until the start of this year when it became all to clear that the team were no longer the force they once were. I belive Carlo or even Jose may still have been manager had we invested sooner, rather than blame the manager and replace them when the team constantly underperform or we have a bad run of results.
We will need to get shot of and bring in a fair few not just one or two, this is going to be very expensive and we will not get a great deal of money for the players we will be parting company with. I hope we have taken a lesson from this and continually bring in quality even when things are going well otherwise we will be doing the same thing in 4 seasons time, look at the big clubs in Europe they all bring in fresh players and are looking to improve constantly, we have not done that since we sold Robben and Duff.
My faith in AVB has been rocked recently but belive he needs fresh blood to get the team where he wants it, I hope the board give him both the time and money required to get us back to the top of the league where we belong.

Agree1 Disagree0

You are missing the point. This is not rebuilding playing with the same team as last year. If we played a young team and lost then not many would complain. What we are complaining about is the failure to see that the old recipe simply does not work any more!

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point mate but if he put out a team of kids and we got beat 3 or 4 theres not a chance people wouldnt moan, theyd be straight on here slagging him for not using more experienced players, he cant win, i for one am, and will stay right behind AVB and CFC regardless of who he plays and what the results are until hes had a decent amount of time in the job

I like your positivity concerning the team Zola, but I strongly believe the board are totally clueless , personally I would not let them look after my coat while I went to the toilet . The board are so out touch , we should have got rid of the likes of Kalou , Mikel and Malouda a few seasons ago. I read in the paper that Chelsea are to offer Kalou a 5 year deal at 90 k per week. If this happens I am going to stop going to the games , the club I love is run by clowns . Ricky

Agree3 Disagree1

Agree with last post. They are out of touch and ideas. We missed bringing in some class players this summer just because of a silly wage policy and that what would JT and FL would think. Who bloody cares if those kind of players would bring what we all want! Success!

Agree0 Disagree1

At the end of the day lads i was a fan when we were rubbish, in fact i prefered it, itl take a lot more than a couple of bad results, a few dodgy team selections and a second season in a row without a trophy for me too lose faith, bare with it im sure it will be alright next season after AVB has had time

ZOLA

Agree1 Disagree0

Here is the problem. It takes a lot of experience for a manager to transition a team smoothly. And experience is something that AVB does not have.

Agree0 Disagree0

May aswel sack him then eh? tell you all what i dont mind defending the team against other fans, but when you've got to defend the team against your own fans theres something seriously wrong, i hope we go rubbish again, get relegated, bring on Oldham away on a tuesday night, cheaper tickets, plus we get the real fans back that have been replaced by this new breed of moaning glory hunters,

ZOLA

Agree0 Disagree0

And what exactly is a fan? Somebody who buys aseason ticket to watch the team and in every match eats a hotdog, drinks a beer, goes home and thinks I am so grateful I can watch my team? Get real. I will critise as much as I want because I pay to watch the team both on tv and on the fround. Fand power!

Agree0 Disagree0

Zola, Ricky here , I have supported Chelsea through thick and thin . When I left school in 1984 I collected persil tokens so I could follow Chelsea to place like Hull at the age of 16. So the point I am going to make is , I will always be Chelsea , but when the board are offering the likes of Kalu 5 year 90k per week deals , i feel that my club is becoming a laughing stock. What premier team would Kalu actually get info ? Not many . So therefore why should we throw millions of keeping him. If that's the case then I welcome Oldham on a ties night. ricky

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you should all be a bit more grateful of Romans abilities at running a business. If he hadn't come along and saved you then Chelsea would have been bankrupt. The current management team are vastly superior to the old one. Short memories at Chelsea I see.

Does anyone else think the Torres Drogba Anelka strikeforce should have been given more of a chance? They've only played once all together.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Why not better than malouda playing. i think torres anelka, mata in behind

Agree0 Disagree2

To be honest I could do a better job than Malouda down the left wing and I'm not even left footed!! Why can't AVB see that he is SH@£
