Do you think Drogba and Torres can co-exist at Chelsea? I personally dont, and think Drogba should be ushered out, but i hear he is about to sign a contract extension. Is this just a ploy to up his value or will we have to endure a Torres v Drogba discussion pre every match? {Ed002's Note - I doubt they can play together but they can co-exist.}

AVB and RDM are not stupid So why are they still assessing the squad when 90% of all Chelsea fans know the squad needs refreshing, there is a desperate need for wingers and a creative midfielder and we need to sell/release some of the older and less skillful players??

I am glad more and more of us come out and say this. Something is not right for those of us who know Chelsea. It is not AVB or Roman. I am starting to believe that there is a certain number of players who have strong infuence in matters and that is not healthy.
To take it a bit further it was the same group responsible for Ray Wilkins's dismissal. But then it is just pure speculation.

Ed, do you feel that there will ever be a set of universal rules in football? I mean you have the issue of homegrown players in the epl, non-euro quota in serie a, no part ownership in the epl, and many other intricacies. I just think the lack of uniformity makes things much more difficult. I'm sure it will never happen but I guess I'll just keep dreaming. {Ed002's Note - There never will.}

I thought the football clubs and players contracts are mutually agreeable and either the player or the club can terminate it on condition that damages for termination are paid. ed. could you enlighten me on this. {Ed002's Note - It is a large and complex subject and there is not the time to do it here so easily. Sorry}
What about a site that has this info? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any. Sorry. Perhaps Google something like +fifa +"article 17" +28 plus "3 years" and you will get part or all of an explanation.}

Sky Sports said that AVB said that at this moment we will not be bringing in another striker. Wonderful. We have shot ourselves on the foot by offering these mediocra players like Kalou and Malouda a comfortable job that they do no want to loose. Difficult situation.
I've posted this at another website... It seems as if:
1) AVB is not trying to rock the boat with our existing strike force until deals can be made.
2) The board is once again pulling the strings and is trying to milk one more season out of the senior citizens until they can leave on a free transfer.
3) He is more delusional than Ancelotti, or has a God Complex and feels as if he can turn water into wine with this squad.
Any way you look at it, we're screwed.

Why on earth investing all this money on very young players that will be useful in a couple of years time when we have to buy ready players now to help us bring back the title? We have lost it. And when I still see that clown Malouda still in the team it makes think that actually there will not be any majors signings.

Watched the game and we were awful especially in the first half it was a joke, both malouda and kalou played on the left and we had noone on the right. i know it looks improbable that we sign aguero from reading the previous posts but i cant stress how much we need someone like him or hulk on the right as well as a creative midfielder. i have faith in avb but we really do need some new signings
I agree, and if you watch hulk videos from last season he is exactly what we need, I've turned into his biggest fan, he would be perfect for premiership, quick powerful strong skilful, and I hope to we get pastore and I not try get nasri on cheap, AVB needs to get some players in and give them time to gel with tnhe team

I'm a Chelsea supporter, but looking at this current team and the possibility that AVB will stand pat, I wouldn't laugh off that Pooh supporters comment. Could happen. At the very best we could end up in 3rd behind the Manc clubs, maybe even fighting for a CL qualifying spot with Gooners/Spuds/Pooh.
