In the summer I'd love to sing either Bernardo silva or Ivan perisic and also bakyoko as they are all amazing talents and could do wonders for us
In:
Perisic/ silva
Bakyoko
Gordon (if begovic leaves)
Backup rwb

Outs:
Matic
Terry.

Nice, apart from losing Matic.

and Gordon - never cut it at the top and doesn't have a big winners drive. if we are going to go for a past it older GK id like one who has won a lot and can influence younger players into craving trophies.

Donnaruma GK
No defenders, bring back Christensen and give ale game time.
Naingollan or veratti CM
Carrasco, silva or perisic
No striker as long as Costa stays.

Nwblue I agree apart from donnaruma. I think he's a wonderful talent but if he joins Chelsea and becomes backup keeper he will ruin his career as he needs to be playing week in week out like he is in Milan.

Also when I was writing this out I forgot to include verratti I would love him to replace Mati. (Nothing against Matic Just that if we sign another midfielder, with him, kante, fab, and the new signing rlc and chalobah will never get chances.

Donnaruma would be my choice if courtois leaves. Forgot to add that bit in.

This is going to get a lot of dislikes but if Costa were to leave I'd like lukake as he's similar to Costa - big and strong and can finish . Despite his first touch not being the best he can work on that.

Lukaku must not sign for us!

Agree7 Disagree8

22 Feb 2017 22:41:23
Why is that? I know he's not the best, but we know he wants to come back to Chelsea, he is similar to Costa in the fact that he's big and strong and has a great shot. I know he had problems, lack of effort and bad first touch but under conte he could be trained and made better. But this is only an option if Costa leaves which I don't want.

I think he's rubbish, he's ok at Everton, if we got any ambitions to win the champions league, we need a better standard of player, i really really think he's a bad football player, teams park the bus against us he wouldn't have space to get in behind, and his all round game is championship level, he use to have 2 things going for him being young and raw, well he's 24 soon so he ain't young anymore, just on a personal level I hate watching him play, you said he lacks effort and has a bad first touch, and conte is ment to improve his first touch?, no way there's plenty of non lazy strikers who have a good first touch in the world, what ever happens we should stay well clear.

I'd rather Morata or Icardi.

Lukaku doesn't get the credit from you guys that he deserves, the amount of goals he scores so young . He is an absolute beast and personally I would far rather him to
Morata.

He's 24 in six weeks, not really young, he's never scored 20 league goals in a season (yet), in a time where players are scoring 40-50 goals a season, I think he got 16 league goals in 37 matches last year, but somehow has a 60 million price tag?, I quite confident that if batshaui played 37 league games for Everton he could get 15-20 league goals for them, I seen a stat recently that said Chelsea has the least amount of crosses in the premier league, so would he really suit us?, his hold up play is dreadful and our attack would break down when it gets to him, Costa and hazard have a good connection, I can't imagine lukaku playing little 1 2s, he's not the best finisher, imagine next season being away to Bayern Munich and we are under the kosh, and he goes 1 on 1 with There keeper, I would expect him to miss, he will cost a fortune for some reason, possibly cost 60-70 million for that kind of money we could add 20 mill and get almost any striker in the world, he's not in the top 5 best strikers/ forwards in the league, Aguero, Costa, Sanchez, Kane, ibramiovic, all definitely better there's a few more you could argue a case of being better, you could make an argument that he's not in the top 20 strikers/ forwards worldwide, I personally don't like him as a player he is capable of getting 15/ 20 goals for a mid table team though, fingers crossed he doesn't come to Chelsea,

I am with you cat. Ifor Costa where to leave. I would take lukaku with a heartbeat. Proven in Premier league, suits and suits our play.

23 Feb 2017 22:49:21
Cat, your saying he's championship level? Really? I'm not sayin he's better than Costa I'm just saying he's an option because we know he would like to come back to Chelsea and he can finish. He's got more goals than Costa this season! Yes I would love to go for someone like dybala but some of the stuff said about lukaku on this page isn't anywhere near true.

Championship level is an exaggeration of his terrible touch, and bad passing, and poor technique, it's hard to call something truth, when it's an opinion, he is capable of getting a hat rick against a bottom of the league team, but at the same time in certain games the ball will bounce of him he will look like a championship player, I honestly don't think he's very good maybe as a back up or rotation, but his price will be huge, I wouldn't class him as young any more either, like I've said next season he's 25, for me he would be seriously a last resort if Costa left, I would bid for 20 other strikers first, I think he's at his level, not a top top team player, I think Chelsea will win the league this season and the next step then will be to muscle in on Madrid, Barcelona, Munich, and co, in Europe, get the right signings to get to there level, just 3/ 4 world class players, but for me it can not be lukaku.

One thing I'd like to acknowledge is the relatively new developement of our loanees enjoying successful loans in the lower leagues of England. We haven't had much success in the past with loans in the championship and sending player to league 1/ 2 has been relatively rare. I think this is incredibly beneficial to the players for a couple reasons. For starters there isn't such a huge shift of having a new language and culture to acclimate to on top of football. Another thing is that the style of football in the lower leagues is more comparable to the English top flight which leads to a more tailored development. I really hope to see this trend continue and more teams look to tap into this resource in the future as it truly benefits everyone.

Jay da silva is having a nightmare at charlton. Came on as a sub on his debut, got subbed off and hasn't played since. Sent him out presumably to get game time and he's just sat on the bench every game.

There are always loans that don't work (although at a far lower rate than usual this year) . Musonda was one of betis' best players last year and then couldn't get a game this year due to a coaching change. I feel the more loans that have success the easier it will be to facilitate them.
