Cahill, Luiz, Mikel, Terry, Azpi, Cole, Schwarzer, Lampard all had a better game. People that think torres had a good game are so personic it's unbelievable. He couldn't hold the ball up if his life depended on it. Ba would have been in for this type of game if it were anyone other than Torres' home town team.
You can't compare defenders with only and lonely striker in game where JM brutally parked the bus like WHUTD at Stamford Bridge.
D.Costa didn't look any better than Torres.

Would start ivanovic alongside Cahill if Terry is out. Luiz alongside Matic against Liverpool and for next week, Luiz and rami. Hopefully hazard will be back in. Hazard, Schurrle and Willian. Hopefully with Eto up front.
Great game tonight as well, Mikle and Luiz was epic!

A solid first half but painful to watch. Every time we win the ball we just give it straight back to Atletico with woeful passing. If we could keep the ball better it would take a bit of pressure off our defence as it will be hard to keep a clean sheet playing 90 minutes defence. I wouldn't have played Torres. He doesn't even contest headers, he is too busy backing into the defenders. I would have played Ba all day long.
Agree, ba has been closest we have to a striker this season and I would keep him, torres will be an athletico player nxt season I reckon

Cheers ed same as mine except i'd take out Oscar if hazard's fit because he hasn't been playing well and he owes us a big performance IMO. Although I'm struggling to decide between lamps and rami

Do you know if van Ginkel's in the squad? I've heard he's fit but I'm unsure whether Mourinho will play him again this season.
