Ed, there's a report from Rob Beasley in The Sun. Now normally I put 0 credence in reports in papers, but IIRC Beasley seems to have some pretty good information regarding Chelsea (I could be wrong but I thought it was him). He says that Mourinho wants either Walcott or Oxlade-Chamberlain if Arsenal want to buy Cech. I don't want Walcott at Chelsea, but Chamberlain is a player I like very much and would love to see with us. Is there any truth in interest in one or both of these players?
Probably nonsense but thanks anyway :)

Both are quite injury prone.

if the ox were to stay injury free I would rather sign him then most other players we are linked with. I hate arsenal, they are my brothers team but I have always seen the ox as a top player and one of the only arsenal players i'd take within the Chelsea squad. very versatile, hard working and energetic. however, never going to happen.

Walcott is salah plus 5 years

Guess it's BS :)
I like Ox, really do. Indeed he seems injury prone, but everyone seems to be injury prone at Arsenal so maybe we could fix that. Look how Costa turned out, and he seemed injury prone as well :-)
But yeah, probably BS so doesn't matter anyway.

I think it's more to do with training routines. Torres was injured a lot at Liverpool but never really had that problem at chelsea. Walcott for Cech would do me. Cuadrado just doesn't look like the player I thought he was,he's not had much minutes in his favour though. Walcott,English, fast, can score from playing out wide and can also play down the middle. If Cech chooses arsenal surely this deal makes sense.

I'd snap their hands off for a Walcott / Cech swap! I personally think Oxlaide Chamberlain is a bit overrated. Not sure what he's ever done to deserve the hype he gets? Walcott is a proven goalscorer from the wing, has pace to burn, he's English, plus he never seems to moan when he's benched at Arsenal. A fully fit Theo Walcott is a very dangerous player! It would be a really smart move and a big addition to the squad in my eyes.

I will say Walcott does a good job coming off the bench which is something we've been lacking over the years. That said I'm skeptical of this like everybody else.

Ox is more versatile player than Walcott.

Ed would Chelsea look to Laporte if a deal can not be struck with Real for Verane? He is a player with a bright future and could pretty much slot straight into our defence.
Thanks
