For the earlier posts regarding Barca and Neymar, Barca have made a first installment of 10million euros in which they can sign him anytime before 2014 but having agreed terms with Neymar its looking like he will move after the Olympic games and thats when the rest will be paid i would imagine. {Ed002's Note - It is not quite like that.}

ED002 a couple of questions for you on the Terry Situation 1) With it being in a magistrates court is there maximum penalty a fine? 2) If in court he is found not guilty will the charges be dropped? 3) Can he be banned before the decision of the trial? {Ed002's Note - (1) The initial hearing will result in the case being deferred in all probability and Terry could request a trial by jury. (2) I don't understand the second question - if he is not guilty that is the end of the matter for the courts. (3) No. He has not been charged by the FA yet. They will wait until the criminal charges have been addressed and then will decide whether or not to charge him, and what those charges are. If subsequently found guilty by an independent panel he will be given some form of punishment.}

So this could drag out for months then i guess ED? {Ed002's Note - It will not be concluded on February 12.}

So the FA will wait until after Feb 1st after the trial and then decide to give further punishment to terry? {Ed002's Note - It will be much later than that but, as I said, they will wait.}

So ed if in court he is found innocent,will the FA still take action ? {Ed002's Note - I imagine he will be charged by the FA.}

Ed why would the fa want to charge Terry if he was found innocent in court {Ed001's Note - it depends on whether they feel they have a point to prove to Blatter or not really.}

From gathering as much information from the three sources I know, I have managed to deduce the players we are going to buy in January 2012:

Ins:

* Jack Rodwell
* Gary Cahill
* Eden Hazard (Providing we make a MAMMOTH bid, which knowing us, we probably will)

Outs:

* Anelka
* Possibly Malouda (But he does not want to go)

Loans:

* Josh Mceachran (On Loan)

WE WILL NOT buy Higuan, Oezil, Di Maria, Pato, Robhino or Modric.

We WILL NOT sell Drogba, Kalou or Torres.

Any thoughts Ed? Thanks

If torres gets a good offer like the rumored 30m Malaga are wishing to pay or even being part of a deal for pato, i can see him leaving.
Those 3 signings would add much energy and pace to our squad.

Pato would be a much better option than Hazard, we need a goal scoring forward.

Torres wont leave because we need options for the champions league. From what i know (which could be wrong) we can only make three changes to the champs league squad we have already submitted. It seems fair to assume that Essien will be included, thats one change, who ever we bring in at CB will presumably replace Alex who is not training with the first team, leaving us with only one change available, presumably replacing Anelka. With Drogba leaving for ACON, and most of the striking options we seem to be looking at cup tied we will need Torres in the squad.

Personally I don't think tiote is that good and I would pay 10m at the most for him

Need to replace miereles, not romeu

Meireles is actually not that bad a player, he gets the ball moving, makes crucialn tackles and every now and then slots a goal.

I know Chelsea like to give testimonial games to long serving players when their careers are over and so I wasn't surprised with the recent announcement about the three-way testimonial for Terry,Lampard and Cole,
but I missed the date. Is it May or June?
