AVB said he won't change his style of play, I don't think roman will want him to change as this kamakazie footy is what he's been after since purchasing the club.
Luiz has looked a little dodgie so for only because he hasn't had a run of games together. Put ivanovic back to right back as he's to slow to play along side Terry and isn't great with the ball at his feet. And somebody remind frank that playing center mid requires more than just bombing forward at every oppatunity.
Play sturridge on the left as he hasn't got a right foot at all.
Purchase a rightsided midfielder who can cross a ball in January. If we'd had one of them Saturday then torres would have put gooners out of site b4 half time.

Krasic is imo not that great of a player. Would like Di Maria (unlikely I know) and Modric as much as I would love it is highly unlikely until at least the summer. The perfect replacement would Lucas of Sao Paolo. Check him out if you don't know he is. Unbelievably gifted player and only 19.

There is no way chelsea will sign 4 starters in january, especially considering that 3/4 could be potentially cup tied for the cl and it is clear we will not get modric anyway. on top of that you must be in dreamland if you think we will sell malouda, kalou and anelka for a combined 37 million. it will be closer to 10/12 million combined. josh and lukaku will most probably go out on loan tho, but maybe towards the end of the window as we the african cup of nations will make our squad a lot smaller

What makes you think that Luiz can play in the mid or as a fullback? He sucked as a DM, so they moved him to CB. Watch Porto destroy Benfica 5-0 with Luiz as RB. Hulk destroyed him. He isn't disciplined enough to chase wingbacks and wingers for the whole game hence he has to play CB where he can get cover from Mikel and Terry.

Hes quality on the ball, pacy, can pick a pass and got an eye for goal, with decent defenders behind him all he'd be required to do is slow the oppositions play down, he wouldnt be required to lunge in around the goal area, at the minute whats the alternative, Mikel?!, im positive he could play there and excel there

Out of what we already have, what is everyones favoured starting midfield, i struggle with it, i think id rather have Mata playing in midfield as opposed to the left of a front 3, but until we get another world class forward id keep him there, would definatley have Luiz starting in there as opposed to defence, Ramires is also a cert, and then Lamps/Miereles maybe rotating or subbing, id have Romeo on the bench at all times to get straight on if Luiz looks like hes going have a dodgy one,

id say thats pretty balanced from what we already have, what would you all pick (havent included defence its obvious that needs radically sorting)

In AVBs defence I would have picked pretty much the same starting 11, the problem comes in the bench, we have nobody who can come on and change a game.
The defence have been playing to far up the pitch, most goals we have conceeded this season have been down to this. This needs to be sorted straight away. Terry is starting to look old and other than Cole the defence are not up to the standard we have become used too, Luiz is a gifted and exciting player but we need to stick him in midfield as he is a penalty or a red card waiting to happen.
Lampard was our best player yesterday and hopefully can play a part untill we find a replacment for him. Ramires and Meriles have looked good as has Mata, Malouda should never put on a Chelsea shirt again same for Kalou.
Up front Torres is blowing hot and cold, Drogba should be taken to a field and left to stud,or shot. Anelka has looked ok so far this season but if we get any offers should be sold, Lukaku looks nothing like a footballer from what I have seen of him should be loaned out, Sturridge has looked ok but against Qpr and Arsenal was piss poor. We desperatly need another forward, gutted we did not get Aguero.
I have been impressed with Romeou who should get more games. I belive AVB is the right man and that we need to stick with him no matter what happens this season, i also feel we need to bring in at least three players if we are going to win anything this season.

Spot on with comments. Sturridge absolutely dreadful -- not yet the finished article when it comes to big matches. Terry/Ivanovich combo in central defense too slow. Luiz and Alex (save one poor match, best defender we've had when fit) v the Arse a better bet?

some of the things people write are absolute rubbish. Cech is still a top class keeper, everyone has a bad game once in a while and when its a goalie its magnified x10. While i think bosingwa has ahad a good start to the season, i think most of his good play is happening going forward and he is too often found out of position leaving the whole right side exposed. Would much prefer Brani at right back, he can still do a job going forward and is a much more solid defender.

Chelsea charge like a wounded buffalo to watch a game , so won't a real fan telling like it is . Our defence is all over the show , Bosingwa is too inconsistent , Terry is getting found out due to his pace although I feel he could still do the job if he had more cohesion in defence. Cech as been brilliant but it's time he went to Dubai or wherever players go to see out their playing days. Midfield - shockingly slow, predictable and lacks imagination . Mikel as never improved since we signed him , Meriless I think is good , Lampard to join Cech in Dubai come May. Kalou would have never played another game at Chelsea after he stated 2 years ago he had a desire to play for Arsenal . However I doubt very much if could make the ladies Arsenal team. Just why do we put up with him ? Malouda is just a bloke who turns up to pick up is money week in week out , in my eyes he has not done a thing for the last 3 seasons, the same applies to Drogba . We need to make some young signings and keep them and pay them week in week out at Chelsea not some other outfit .
