Am I correct in saying that signing Gomez or Yilmaz kills any hope for also signing Cavani?

Apparently Jose Mourinho wants Robbie Di Matteo as his number 2!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not a fan of RDM the manager, his defensive strategy and squad picking were awful.

Hey ed, great source you are!

I would appreciate if you could tell us, when you have info about the managing-seat at the bridge, or if you could sort out, where Jose Mourinho is "likely" to be heading

Joe {Ed018's Note - it is likely that Mourinho will return to Chelsea}

I've got a strange feeling Mourinho will not return to the club, Falcao will leave Atletico but it don't think it'll be to Chelsea

Believable0 Unbelievable0

hey ed, i'd like to ask you some questions about mourinho if that's alright.
1) Has mourinho officially left Real Madrid yet or does he still have a few more games to manage?
2) Can chelsea approach him and discuss terms with him now?
3) When is the soonest we can announce him as our new manager?
4) I've heard that no compensation shall be paid to him. If that is the case, does it mean that he has bought out his contract or simply been released by mutual agreement?
I would be grateful if you could help me by answering a few of these. Thanks {Ed002's Note - See previous answers and we have no interest in money as it confuses folks.}

Hey Ed is it possible that Chelsea will sign anyone before the announcement of the new manager? {Ed002's Note - I really cannot answer anything about the timing of the completion of transfers.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 May 2013 17:43:02
Mourinho will leave Madrid on June 3 on mutual consent, no compensation fee required. Ed002 had told us earlier to expect an announcement by June 5 or 6. This could be it.

Carlo Anchelotti.

"Honestly, it's different, because when I arrived there one manager was sacked - and yet we won.

"They sacked me and sacked Villas-Boas - then they won the Champions League.

"They sacked Di Matteo - they won the Europa League.

"I think the manager that goes next year has to be worried.

Ed, have Chelsea had any discussions with mourinho or his representatives? Or is this just expectancy that something may happen? Thankyou sir {Ed002's Note - Try the search function.}

I believe next season is the season to put de bruyne, mceachran and lukaku in our squad. Reasons for this is simple, man it'd under new management as is city. City will be losing silva and aguero! If we get rid of mikel and replace him with someone decent. And get another top striker well be flying. Our squad is use to new managers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mceachran is not in the same league as de brunye and lukaku and never will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha mceachran isn't in the same class? He hasn't been tested yet. Plus he's over two years younger than de bruyne. Josh is an amazing passer of the ball.

Hi ed was wondering could Real Madrid let mourinho go now on a mutual agreement they don't want him he doesn't want to be there, I no he's got a contract and if they sack him they have to pay him off and if Chelsea want him they have to agree a fee with Madrid but was just wondering if there's anything in place where they can just agree mutually and let him go and he both parties don't exchange any money many thanks {Ed002's Note - I guess.}

Chelsea's transfer policy is very evident - buy young quality players. Alonso is 31, so this will not happen.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So it shouldn't aswell. We have Oscar and mceachran to fit the deep playmaker role. Longer we hold them off from it, the longer well have to wait for them to start performing at the top, which both are well capable of.

Hi Ed,

Not transfer related, just a question regarding the post-season tour to the US. Will any of our loanees be available (i. e. Lukaku, de Bruyne) or will the squad be the same as it is now? I assumed that the loanees wouldn't return until June but thought I'd ask the question.

Thanks. {Ed002's Note - I don't know.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just seen the squad list on the official site. nice to see some of the youngsters tagging along. :)

20 May 2013 13:13:27
Hey Ed, not a transfer rumour really, I was just wondering why CFC and Man City are playing twice in the USA immediately after the end of the season. Could we not have played in America as part of preseason and given the players a break.
It just seems odd, I have never know games like this to follow the end of the season. {Ed002's Note - It is a commitment related to something else that was agreed a while back.}

1. Cech (1)
2. Delac (27)
3. Blackman (35)

4. Azpilicueta (28)
5. Essien (15)
6. Terry  (26)
7. Papadopoulos (5) ***
8. Ivanovic (2)
9. Cahill (24)
10. Cole (3)
11. Shaw (32) ***

12. Mikel (12)
13. David Luiz (4)
14. Fellaini (6) ***
15. Ramires (16)
16. Lampard (8)
17. McEachran (13)

18. Hazard (17)
19. Mata (10)
20. Oscar (11)
21. De Bruyne (14)

22. Cavani (7) ***
23. Lukaku (18)
24. Schurrle (9) ***
25. Markovic (30) ***

Many thanks,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I certainly hope we don't sign Fellaini. I really don't think he's a player we need. If we're going to spend a lot of money on a midfielder, rather spend it on gundogan or someone else with playmaking ability from a deeper position in midfield.

Franco

Agree0 Disagree0

Romeu needs to be in there somewhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Get rid of fellaini and mikel from that list. Oscar play deeper in midfield, keep Marin and sign another attacker.

Ideal situations for some of our youth players next season.

Thibault Courtois :- (Loan, At. Madrid) He is the most exciting goalkeeping prospect in Europe however we already have one of the most consistent goalkeepers in Europe as our number one. Courtois remains a prospect, another year at a club that has done an excellent job with his progress thus far makes sense.

Wallace :- (Loan, Roma) The attacking fullback isn't considered ready for the defensive needs of the premier league, a year on loan makes sense; a year on loan within a defensively minded league makes more sense. Roma have shown interest.

Thomas Kalas :- (Loan, West Brom) Has done well in Holland but Premiership experience is a must, West Brom have watched him and he would fill a need for them.

Nathaniel Chalobah :- (Loan, Watford) The perfect scenario sees Watford gain promotion and Chalobah to get a season in the Premiership with them, if Watford fail in their playoff final then maybe Swansea would be a good fit.

Nathan Ake :- (Loan, Swansea) Would like to see him get some first team experience. De Guzman is likely to leave Swansea this summer, that'll leave a void that Ake, or Chalobah, could step into. They'd be playing in a system that isn't a million miles away from ours.

Players for Championship loans :- Billy Clifford, Todd Kane, George Saville, Thorgan Hazard & Patrick Bamford.

Players for Chelsea first team squad.

Jamal Blackman :- Third choice goalkeeper, young, British and probably safer hands than Ross Turnbull.

Josh McEachran :- Its approaching make or break for McEachran at Chelsea, I think he'll learn more next season tied at the waste to Lampard than he would on loan elsewhere.

Kevin De Bruyne :- All this talk of another loan or, god forbid, selling De Bruyne is ridiculous! He's clearly ready for the first team squad.

Lucas Paizon :- The talent is there, in the same way as McEachran can learn from Lampard this boy can learn from Mata.

Romelu Lukaku :- Better than Ba!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Piazon can easily be a replacement for Benayoun and De Bruyne can provide a lot of depth seeing as he can play in multiple positions. I'd rather have De Bruyne at the club than Schurrle

Franco

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes agree De Bruyne is ready and seems better than Schurrle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku, de bruyne and mceachran are ready!

Agree0 Disagree0

I wholeheartedly think kdb is better than schurrle however schurrle has a lot of pace and works back incredibly well which is different than what we currently have. Either way if like both to be here next year but I don't know if that's feasible.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I think ake should go to the championship on loan.

Remember we sent mceachran to Swansea in the prem to early and it only hindered his development and had to drop down to the championship a year later, when it should have been the other way around.

Mourinho could take Chelsea job as soon as today as Madrid fans want him out immediately

Special one getting sacked By the special club.
was he getting sacked coz. he fell out with players and fans.
if so Benitez is a legend. he was booed at least 10 games continuously this Season.

he is probably the last manager left to manage Chelsea.

good luck jose. start spending

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Harry you are a typical rocks in your head scouser. He isn't getting sacked. They won't pay 20m too sack him.

But let's live in your make believe world for a moment and use your 'logic'. RM will sack Mourinho because of two games of crowd booing. Mourinho sucks. Chelsea didn't sack Rafa after constant booing for half a season. Rafa is a legend. doesn't it make Chelsea 'legends' and RM not? Honestly? You are lost mate, and sign your posts, we all know it's you typing incoherent ramblings!
