The actual transcript people took Balague's quotes to seriously he quoted all the bad parts of the interview

Guillem - It's been an incredible season considering that things haven't gone exactly according to plan.

Fernando Torres - That's what football is like, in the end what this season has taught me is that football is made from these moments, these special moments - a group of lucky people and sometimes you need a little bit of luck, and that is what the team has had.

G - Like for example, Drogba, who has scored 9 goals in 9 finals - to me that seems incredible.

FT - In the game against Napoli at home - it finished 3-1, I remember that goal-line clearance from Ashley Cole - if it had finished 4-1 we would have been out of the competition. We won that game, then went to the Nou Camp and it seemed to everyone that we were going to get beat 10-0. But with a bit of luck or hard work or whatever you want to call it....we got through to the final at Bayern Munich's ground against Bayern Munich, in the 82nd minute we were 1-0 down, then we brought it level and it went to penalties. We went a goal behind at the start of the shoot-out and ended up winning. I think that is what this team has had, especially towards the end of the season, are some championship-winning moments - maybe we've been lucky, but maybe a bit of luck was what the team was lacking in Moscow.
G - When you were brought on, you got involved, you ran for every ball.

FT - It's contradictory because I feel like I'm at a peak moment in my career, with more desire and hunger than I've felt in a long time, but I've had to spend the final on the bench. It was a huge disappointment when I saw the line-up, perhaps the biggest disappointment in my life. I thought I would play in this game and I couldn't imagine not doing so. But in the end I could participate and offer the team something. I'm really happy.

G - In any case, you came to this club to win medals such as this one.

FT - Yeah, the European Championship, the World Cup, the Champions League...There's a very important game for me, on an emotional level, against Atletico de Madrid in the European Supercup and I'm counting the days until then.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Exactly, im glad hes showing some passion and wants to play every match, shows he not happy just collect his pay cheque.

This just proves how the media can twist things, he obviously is hungry to play and wants to prove to the world that he can be a success at Chelsea. I believe that he will stay die to the fact it looks more likely that Drogba will leave, and then it will be Torres's time!

In my opinion and if i was Drogba, i'd leave. He cannot go out on a bigger high, and if this happens, Torres will boom next season. From the celebrations you can see how he's part of the team and chelsea family, and last nights winning experience will drive him on!!
Can't wait for next season!

In my humble opinion, I would not want hazard at Chelsea. After all if his antics i do not think that he is worth it. Realistically , we could sign hulk,a right back and a striker.

Also can not wait for the community shield, super cup and club world cup !! Great to see Chelsea back with Europes elite .

On another note, I am really not sure regarding the manager job, keeping RDM has its positives and negatives, and so I am just going to trust the club to make the right decision and I'm sure they will.

Happy days for Chelsea !!!

RDM will get the job, but he has to do things differently next season and that is the only concern regarding his appointment as the permanent manager .He has a big job ahead if he is appointed the manager. He has to change the style of play ,the personnel, basically he has to do the job AVB was appointed to do.I, personally, would love him to be successful at this and bring glory and success to us for a long time.

Torres has disappointed me today with the comments made to balague within hours of winning the biggest club tournament in the world.A striker is judged on goals and he just hasn't produced for 18 months, not just the last few games.I don't believe he earned a right to be in the starting 11 last night even with the suspensions we had.If we can get £30m+ or swap deal with falcao I would let him go.Give drogba his two year deal.A man who loves the club and still leads the line well.Didier on his day is still unplayable,so I say let Torres go,sign drogba on for two years and get one of cavani or falcao.Defence is solid.Keeper looks back to his best.Pacey wingers are in desperate need.Hazard,Lavezzi or hulk would be my preference. Also another holding midfielder who can play aswell as tackle.
Team next season:
Cech
Ivanovic. Cahill. Luiz. Cole
Martinez
Hulk. Ramires. Hazard
Mata.
Cavani

Lampard, terry, drogba playing roles similar to giggs and scholes at utd.

Fernando Torres wants to have crunch talks with Chelsea, let’s be honest there is no shocking revelation in this story; we all knew there was a chance that he could go. From the comments that he made it seems like he wants reassurances over his importance to the team and probably wants to be told he will get more first team opportunities in big games next season; once again nothing that you wouldn’t expect. The problem is I don’t think Chelsea are going to be able to offer the reassurances that Torres wants or, if we are honest, needs to hear.

The board are already planning to open contract talks with Didier Drogba next week and the hope has to be that he stays for at least another year; he is still our best striker! If Drogba stays then he should continue to be the man for the big occasion, Torres would then have to settle for game time in some Premier League and cup matches but the subs bench in the big games. Should Drogba decide that a move would be best for him then the situation still wouldn’t improve for Torres. The club would have to move in the transfer market to replace Drogba, which would involve someone with the calibre of say Cavani or Higuain coming to the club; Torres still wouldn’t get the reassurances that he wants.

These reassurances are comments that were made to him when we first signed him, the simple fact is he has been a flop; yes he puts the effort in on the pitch but no matter what spin you put on it his scoring record isn’t that of a fifty million pound striker. I can’t see how he can feel that he is justified in wanting the reassurances; it appears to me that all he is trying to do is justify the fact that he wants to move away from the club.

I think the comments made by Torres are pretty much the beginning of the end as far as his Chelsea career is concerned.

Surewould

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Let's put things into perspective here. We have not stuck with Torres for more than a game and we expect him to play the same way as Drogba. He is a different kind of player. Now remember that Drogba has had plenty of poor performances in tha past. But what happened? We stuck with him. He is at the peak of his career and he wants to know if he is going to be the main man. I do not thing this is unreasonable. I think CFC ought to tell him where he stands.

Agree4 Disagree1

Yes but the point is Chelsea can't tell him he is going to be the main man at the moment, can they? He must know this.

Surewould

Agree2 Disagree1

Basically what Torres has said is true and we still know that there are issues to resolve in the future. To brand him a flop even now ,with the quality of football we have played in the league is naive to say the least. His statements were reasonable, but the timing was a bit hasty. He has returned to form and has worked hard for it.He has laid numerous assists, second only to Mata, and has scored important goals.Torres with the form he has shown lately is miles better than Higuain and Falcao.Lets not even go into comparisons ,we all known his capabilities. He is as any great player will be disappointed for not playing in such an important match. His style of play is the way forward and we need to evolve as a team if we are to keep up our achievements.Dorgba,Lampard ,Terry are all legends, but it is time to look forward and build towards it.Basically all he wants is to play regularly .He is within his rights to ask .So,I do not think we should make a big issue out of it .It is good that players have shown such desire to play.He deserve to start the match .He will be the main man next season and will score lots of goals.Another three or four quality additions to the team and we are good to go.

Red Rat

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He is well within his right to ask such questions as the future is important. Our issues have not gone away. His statements just shows the desire the man has to make an impact and play.Any great player will be disappointed not to start in such a major final. It makes us plan for the future and the way forward from now on.And he has worked as hard as anyone and has made telling contributions, even when not at his best ,to regain his old self and he just wants to play.He will be the main man next season. So no worries.

Lampard. Fernando
Hazard. Mata. Hulk

I know it's a long shot but falcao wouldn't cost much as Torres I imagine would be included in deal and hulk and hazard would be amazing, after last nights win I think we are going to spend big,
Cfcmatty

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a deep lying playmaker to gradually take over role from Lampard.I personally do not want Falcao ,true he has scored lots of goals but most of them in the Europa league, which is not great by any stretch of imagination and in an inferior league ,which is totally different from the Premier League. He does not have a lot of pace and is basically a poacher. We need to play a fast attacker like Higuian along side Torres ,if we are to win next season and also play great football.Torres any day over Falcao.

Puzzled

Agree1 Disagree0

Not sure actually. He may miss out. Oh wait a sec, just remembered, he scored THAT goal against Barca. Guessing he gets one. You've probably got a point though, its a known fact that all big players want to be a hero at a mid-table team, never winning anything. Rather than be part of a big club and win things. I'm sure he would rather swap his Champs League and FA Cup medals for an 8th place finish and a League Cup.

OsgoodIsKing

Congratulations All on a memorable night.

Not very pretty but the cup now has Chelsea etched onto it, so thats all that matters I suppose.

Now that a European cup has been won, I'd assume Mr Ambramovich will once again 'green light' another spending spree. So the question is are you all hoping RDM is given the job and the money to spend, or do you think/hope someone else is lined up for the job?

Anyway, Well done
