Why does Mikel never do that/never done that for us?

I know he is a different player for Nigeria very frustrating

In nigeria he is allowed to go deeper into the box, while with us he is restricted to defensive misfielder, the position or role he played for nig. Is for lampard in chelsea, mind you when we found him he was a promising young attacking misfielder, but hey lampard was there you know. Nobody was ever given that chance, for reference see gudjonsen, ballack and deco and co. post chelsea interviews they all attest to this. It was we that try to mould him into the makalele type, very unfortunate he came short, and our problem is all our def mid were measured with the makalele yardstick. And there is only onr Makalele so far, he is the one that make lampard so good as an attacking mid cause he gives him cover and security.

Agree0 Disagree0

O come on! Ballack had two great seasons for us. And to be fair we never actually missed makallele when Essien was injury free.

Honestly, even though it is Tehiti I would love if we keep torres, He started getting into shape since april, he seems to be getting fitter and fitter, ( The wise men it is better to have egg in the than the chicken in the cage. And the disease you know is easy to cure than the one you anticipate. Torres + Lukaku + schlrule can be great for us. Plus if we can get cavani, I guarantee us a clean sweep of all the trophies, why because we can out score all our opponents should our defence falter. Up Chelsea

Believable0 Unbelievable0

£170k per week to warm a bench, the guys 29yrs old. If we keep him another year your wiping another £5m off his transfer value.

From a footballing and business perspective we sell him now and invest the money on Cavani

PB1989 Point taken, I agree with you. Thanks it is all for the love of cfx.

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand what you were saying m8, if he was on a normal wage and came on a normal transfer fee then I totally agree.

Id hate to see another Shevchenko where he gets loaned out at the end of next season and released on a free.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly what we were saying about torres after the Euros. Look how that turned out.

People is it just me or is it that schurrle is another pointless signing like Moses and Ba I can't really see why we wasted 20m on him, shure he's versatile but we need a out and out goalscorer we've got enough cover in midfield with loan players coming back from loan. For me he would fit the mold of liverpool or arsenal more than chelsea.

Out:Mikel, Ba, Moses, Marin (just hasn't happened for him)

In: -A world class holding midfielder like de Rossi or Khedira

-One excellent and direct right sided winger like di maria or hulk

-A out and out goalscorer that can still link up with the midfield like Cavani or Rooney. {Ed018's Note - I don't want Hulk anywhere near Chelsea}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think Schürrle is a good signing who offers quality in a number of positions; versatlity and youth has been a feature of the majority of our recent signings and it allows Mourinho to be confident in rotating any of our attackers.

As for Hulk. no thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Schurlle offers genuine pace to run in behind defences. Pace is something that've lack, with the exception of hazard none of our forward players are blessed with lightning quick speed. Having more pace and another player who can run with the ball at speed gives the squad a better balance and more options.

Marin if given the chance is faster that all our wingers even more technical in terms of taking on defenders and dribbling past them, the fans should note that, he hasn't been given the chance, I bet you you he is the Duff or robben we are missing, and surely time will tell, his only problem is he his injury concern, whole heartedly I will love to see him here with and given the chance to prove himself. How many starts or even subs was he given last season. Benayoun was even prefered over him, Please let him have a chance before deciding either he is Good enough for us or not, I believe it will be a mistake to sell him. Thanks {Ed018's Note - I don't think Marin is faster or better at taking on defenders than Hazard}

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we stop it with the Marin wasn't given a chance. Maybe early under rdm but he was coming off injury. By the end of the season I had seen enough, he got chances and did nothing outstanding. Look how many matches we had to play with tired, under-rested guys if Marin was any good he would have played more.

Agree0 Disagree0

Based on Rafa's selections? We all know that Rafa's the best tactical technician ever and if he judges a player to be sh*t or great then obviously they must be. (sarcasm)
Personally I'd give Marin a loan to prove himself.

Hi Chelsea fans. ManUtd fan here. I come in peace. Just wanted to see what you guys and the Edds think of Thiago? and were do you think he will end up? {Ed018's Note - I think it's gonna be interesting to see where he ends up. Certainly United and Bayern are interested in him and City may make a move but there could be more teams who come in for him.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't think he'll end up at Chelsea. We have other priorities (Cavani). We've also signed Shurrle (pending medical).

If Marin AND Moses are sold then I can see why we're going for him!

Apparently we've been after him since he was 15? But not sure if there's any truth in that? If I had to choose I would sell Marin and Moses to sign Thiago!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jun 2013 15:16:26
I'm confident Thiago will be at the bridge to replace either Marin who will be going out on loan or Moses who'll be heading to Evertin. We'll have Hazard, Schurrle, Mata, Oscar, Thiago and De Bruyne. Enough depth!

Agree0 Disagree0

If he were to sign, though I don't think he will, why are people predicting he's be depth for the band of three attacking midfielders? Though he can play there, his main position is deeper than that (i. e. the ball player in a pivot) and we have a desperate need for quality in that area IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mikel - Sell - Galatasary
Romeu - Loan - Celta Vigo
Chalobah - Loan - Premier League
Essien - Sell - Italy Rumours?

McEachran
Lampard
Ramires

Luiz, KDB can play CM if needed.

As I see it we will only have 3 out and out CM and some people think Ramires is better RW (I dont)

I think Thiago and a player like Kondogbia as we have been linked to him would be excellent and necessary buys for depth and quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pb when ever you do positions like now you've done midfield your always too short on players.

Hi eds, could you please provide any insight to the situation with Juan Mata, this speculation won't seem to go away with him being linked with Madrid or Barca, surely Jose can see him as surplus to requirements. I'm sure there are a lot of concerned blues fans out there who would appreciate some insight and those who appreciate what you guys do for this site, thanks in advance

JOhn Obi Mikel has apparently given an interview to a turkish news paper Sabah which follows:-

"I'm very pleased with Galatasaray's offer. "

"I asked Drogba for advice and he told me that Istanbul is a fantastic city, that Galatasaray is a huge club and that I have to make the move. "

"I have played at Chelsea for a long time and it's now time for me to leave. "

"Talks have reached an advanced level between Chelsea and Galatasaray. Chelsea won't make the move difficult and regarding my salary there won't be a problem. "

"All that is left is for the clubs to reach an agreement. "

-John Obi Mikel, Sabah via Turkish-Football. com

Lets all hope this deal happens

If Mourinho is going to use 4-3-3 I don't think Mata will have an issue fitting in. Anyone who watched him before he joined us will know he is more than capable out wide with many believing that was his preferred position. , All talk of a transfer is just the usual media bs that we see every summer! Carefree

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's just the Spanish press stirring things up. They don't like Jose and want mata back in Spain.
