Great team genuis

Until someone sells Malouda and keeps Zhirkov, I will always give it a thumbs down.

And please... it doesn't take long to "Google" these players to get correct spellings of their names. You butchered most of the existing Chelsea players.

Well if we look what top forward wingers are available you will find there is none: Neymar Real bound, Di Maria not available, Sanchez Barcelona. Maybe Pastore and Aguero could play that position but when AVB decides what the team needs we may bid for Aguero's son.

I know we would all like to see team of superstars and world class players but realistically what
Starting XI will we have come first game of season, u cam answer to eds lol

Believable1 Unbelievable6

No I don't think we need a team of superstars. We need a good mixture of old and young team talent with the pace and ceativity to beat teams the likes of MU and Barca.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2011 20:25:05
But seriously, if we can't even get to the stage where Barcelona plays in
Champions League with current crop of players and them getting Fab or Sanchez or both, while we are looking at Lukaku and de Bruyne, Courtois and these kind of guys, who are we trying to fool we are here to win CL? God i long for the days, when i was over the moon to see Gullit finish his career in blue.

sorry all but this transfer window looks over for chelsea. Chelsea I thought were going to put up athough fight for the best players on the market and yet they look as if there giving up on everyone now I dont unstand why I wanted to see Chelsea go and spend BIG on Big players now I hear the likes of parker could be joing chelsea. like wdf is going on as if the squad isnt old enough Parker is 30yrs old isnt he he need youth Aguero is worth buying as he claims he aint staying in alethico Madrid and man city are all over this guy to get his signature modric his owners claims he aint leaving the transfer window for chelsea looks to be over with only 5 r 6 weeks to sign players I dont expect any big big signing anytime soon maybe next season or in janurary if we get parker and keep our current squad hell theyll be wanting a 15min break cus there knackered from age just 30mins in a match Chelsea might aswell forefit there matches next season if this happens. Chelsea are meant to be the second richest club in the premier league and it seems we arent ableto spend big WHERES THE FIRE THE HUNGER FOR THROPHIES.

Are you going to whine every day from now to August 31st?

Maybe you should go support City. I hear that they like to splash cash around like it's Monopoly money...

Agree0 Disagree0

Or maybe you should refrain from posting full stop. If we haven't made any signings by 31st August then feel free to moan But seriously, be patient, you never know what's around the corner.

Chelsea will Not contest man city for aguero until the last minute as man city did with robinho, Chelsea will match salary and fee and will loan them courtois and fully pay his salary for a season.

Cech
? Luiz Terry ACole
Ramires Modric
Pastore
Aguero Torres Neymar

Believable3 Unbelievable8

I love that team sheet...not much muscle, but a team with players capable of retaining the ball with quality and flair

Agree0 Disagree0

The new cfc will have muscle in the defensive positions which terry is the perfect leader for, we need flair and speed going forward the slow backwards ball is Chelsea of old under an Italian manager, if u look at barca who is the muscle there? Don't forget the bisson will take a place in that dm

Agree0 Disagree0

The "Bison" will probably not see any duty until at least next January. And I doubt that he'll be back to his 2005-10 form either. Be honest, he didn't look good last season. 2 bad knee injuries a year apart isn't something that you come back from easily, especially when you're 28.

20 Jul 2011 19:05:39
why the hell are we trying to sign lukaku we dont need him we need ceativity, up front we have sturridge and torres..... we must try and sign at least two players that can unlock and change games not start buying players we will probably loan out pointless and a waste of time and money.. get modric and pastore

Believable5 Unbelievable7

You ever hear of a "signing for the future"?

Last time I looked at a calendar it was July 20th, not August 31st.

Chelsea vs sunderland game in october last year was the worst in the season. cfc displayed a lackluster performance where players were so lazy to run, looked tired, no creativity nor vision. This was attributed to aging squad that was very lean to offer synergies and versatility. The momentum for change has gone down and some players feel they should not leave. ed, is cfc stil focused in strengthening the team by shinin quality players in areas where there was glaring weakness? {Ed002's Note - The plan is to add to the squad, yes.}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Yes that game was the beginning of the end. AVB should have started with a clear out and not waist time evaluating the obvious.

Tevez has been linked with a move to stanford bridge after the talks with corinthians failed. ed, if chelsea can afford a 40million pounds transfer fees and wages of 230,000 pounds per week for tevez, what is it that cfc cant offer aguero and man city can? {Ed002's Note - It is impossible for me to answer such questions. Transfer negotiations are not a simple issue of money and most fans becoming so obsessed with money is taking the focus off teh players. Chelsea have not made any approach to Manchester City for Tevez, there is no £40M for the transfer of Tevez. There are no £220k a week wages for Tevez.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Sourses say that man city will only sell tevez to a European club for no less than 50 million, Corinthians had bid for 40 million on table as tevez wouldn't be playing for rival team and it was what tevez wanted, I doubt we will pay 50 million for player dint really wanna be in England, hulk and di Maria and modric would be nice

Agree0 Disagree0

What "sourses"? The Daily Mail?

Are Chelsea even interested in him thought, I didn't realise how quick powerful and skilful he was, him up top with Torres and good playmaker think we would be on right track to getting our title back {Ed002's Note - I am not sure who you are talking about.}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Sorry. Hulk of Porto. {Ed002's Note - Doubtful but there is interest in Fernando of Porto.}

So if our oppinions differ i assume there is a reason to stop posting mine? Correct editors? {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about at all. If you signed your posts I might be able to figure out what you mean. As it is, your message is pretty incoherent I am afraid.}

Looking at some posts about Kalou. I'd personally like to see him and Mikel leave. Kalou and Mikel quite simply do not cut the mustard at the Bridge - they are individuals whose performances are eclipsed by better players.

Ed made a very good point about 'deadwood' as one 'fan' put it. I dont think we have any deadwood in the squad... certainly not the likes of Nico and Didier (arguably consistent performers who integrate with the team very well).

If we're going to add, it won't be Knee jerk reactions (contrary to belief of some of the fans who want to see multi million impulse buys as soon as they read a tabloid selling story). I'm sure if we want a player that is worth their transfer sum.... we'll get them. I think it shows some good business acumen by leaving deals open for now where smaller clubs or in demand players are holding out for top dollar deals. ( or example Anderlecht who are fixated on a certain fee for Lukaku, and Aguero who is holding out for stupidly high personal terms).

And anyone who's worried - have a butchers at our previous transfer window dealing. Last minute deals and we got our men. Watch News on the last day of the transfer window and enjoy.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Yeah... keeping Kalouless is certainly the thing that will push us to the Quadruple.

ed i understand that you cant say who will be signed but can you tell us who we have made bids for so we have some direction of targets as iam sick of people still thinking neymar sanchez will sign {Ed002's Note - Just read the posts please - I cannot be expected to write a summary because you are too lazy to read the posts yourself.}

I understand your point EDs in being defencive of Chelsea against some desperate CFC fans who are overly concerned by the lack of world class players coming in. But please don't be poker-faced. Gourlay, Buck and now AVB publicly declare the affection to win CL. And we are not equiped to achieve those aims. Understood - some transfers may just as well drag into midnight 31st of August, but where we stand right now squad wise - we have a lot of over 30 players and quite a bunch of youngsters, but the link, the players in their prime is the missing part.

I myself read here every day, and i share my concern over the lack of approach to Aguero, for instance. It is obvious that we don't have wingers on our squad of high caliber. And it is hardly a best solution to get someone in the last hour. If we can pay Anelka 120K a week, and over a hundred to Malouda, can't comprehend why shipping them out and getting Aguero, or player of his caliber and wages would not make sense.

Believable11 Unbelievable0

People dont understand, im sure ed will agree with me that if aguero comes in at 220k aweek say, then lamps, torres and terry will be knocking on the door.
even though abramovic is rich as hell, he isnt rich from chucking money away and the whole chelsea wage structure would be smashed and all future targets would want 220k a week. {Ed002's Note - Don't get wrapped up inb money issues. The proposal made was complex and not tied to cash on a week-by-week basis.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean signing on fees and goal bonuses? {Ed002's Note - No I don't.}

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2011 08:05:54
why is everyone panicking we will sign two or three world class players mimimun by the deadline day and why do some so called chelsea fans call our players deadwood when they served us well in the past

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Players like ferreira have served us well yes, but they are getting on now, do you want him to have a zimmer frame to get forward more?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ferreira is a bad example. He only plays when there are injuries to at least 2 other players at that position, or early round cup matches.

i believe we should have got AVB in sooner hes taking this malaysia trip to evaluate the players, should of got him on board straight away then he could focus on the team and where it needs improvement.. I do not believe myself we need a massive overhaul in players, its obvious we need a winger, i feel hoillet of blackburn would be excellent, alot cheaper than going for a neymar or sanchez, we do need a creative midfielder we should spend big in that position and get richards or VDW in for right back, we dont need essien cover, i highly doubt we will sell mikel, so we have him, ramires, lampard, mcechran, malouda can even drop to centre mid, LETS ALL STOP WORRYING AND START THE BUZZ FOR THE NEW SEASON CHELSEA 2012-2013 CHAMPIONS? WHY NOTTT
oh and please let kalou and ferreira go :)

Believable3 Unbelievable8

How could he have evaluated the team any sooner? He was signed on as manager before the team even returned to training. It wasn't like he was brought in the moment the train was landing in Malaysia.

David Hoilett? LMAO I stopped taking you seriously after that comment...

Agree0 Disagree0

No matter when he was appointed he would have had the same amount of time with the players

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoilett was a good shout, scored 7-8 goals in about 16 games, from the wing, could get him for like 8 mil

Agree0 Disagree0

David Hoilett (05/06/1990) - Premier League Appearances last year 24, Goals 5, Assists 1, Shots 36.

Not bad stats for a winger at Blackburn Rovers FC, hardly worthy of a 'LMAO' comment. I'm not the OP but even i can see where he's coming from, the young lad is technically quality and will only get better. For 8-10 Million i'd have him considering his age. Doubtful still though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kalou has better stats than David Hoilett.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares if he scored goals from the wing. We need service for our strikers.

One assist in 24 appearances is a pretty lousy stat if you ask me... We may as well play young van Aanholt in that position, seeing that we already have enough cover at LB. Hoilett is a step backwards.
