i see on sky sports they are saying Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with pato
and are also due to meet with lavezzi representatives any truth?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Someone has stayed in Brazil to make a decision on Pato - right now money is a problem for his "owners". Lavezzi's representatives are hawking him around as he cannot get the move he wants.}

thanks for the reply good to know.

Hey Ed, first time poster here. Just curious as to what clubs have registered their interest in one Jose Mourinho? It's hard to imagine him with any club right now.

- Chelsea have cut ties with him.

- Real Madrid are invested into Zidane, plus I briefly read that you believe Mourinho not to be interested in the Real job.

- Manchester United are unlikely.

- Bayern Munich have got Ancelotti waiting in their wings.

- Barcelona are happy with Enrique (I believe! ) .

- Inter are doing much better with Mancini.

- City are going all out for Guardiola.

PS, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. Thank you.

Apologies, Ed.

think we seriously need to look at the way we go about looking for players to buy and the reasons we sell players. It's ok looking at a player to see if he will settle and fit into the club, but if the actual manager, who knows more about football than the transfer team, decides he is not good enough then something is seriously wrong, if it was an outside industry then those responsible for wasting the clubs money, would have been sacked.
We have got rid of "free spirited" world class talent and lifelong Chelsea supporters like de bruynn and lukaku because of attitude or "incidents", but I find it hard not to believe that more could be done to keep the players (I am sure ed02 will disagree) . Just seems such a mess.

Sadly Sid it was Jose who got rid of Lukaku and De Bruyne and Mata etc etc. The Director of football brought them in. Who knows best?

Guess, we are signing Pato then lads, thoughts on what you all expect from him.

We're ****ed.

20 Jan 2016 17:50:17
Has disaster written all over it - we really need to sort out the transfer policy - who sanctioned Djobuti (sp. )? Why has Rahman at £20m been left on the bench? How we could now do with Mata, Lukaku, De Bruyne and Luiz!

Agree1 Disagree1

20 Jan 2016 18:11:37
Spot on! And yet I have seen no one involved in those decisions losing his job. And don't give me this panel, group, advisers story. Failure cannot be ignored or focused just on the Manager.

Agree0 Disagree1

20 Jan 2016 18:32:31
Bet he's a success if we sign him he's what we need when he was at his best hope he reaches it again he's a box finisher ad be quite happy to be fair.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 18:58:54
Going to better then an injured falcao . at leaSt we have another option if signed. Give me a chance prob a small fee too.
We all wanted him in Ancelotti daY's at cfc.

Agree0 Disagree1

20 Jan 2016 19:09:20
Agreed wheely but I hope he doesn't limit the chances of Kenedy. Honestly I don't know what to expect a part of me is hoping for a reincarnation like what happened to Coutinho at pool, Bojan at Stoke off the top of my head. He was brilliant first three years at Milan let's hope a miracle could bring him back to his best.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 19:30:52
Yeah true I hope it don't limit kenedy playing time either. Prob won't with kenedy being a left or right winger.
Let's all hope he does well. Better having a striker with a small fee over his head and not expected to do well . than 50 mill striker expected to hit the floor running n to score 30 a. season.

The club is also a business. When players don't want to wait for 1st team opportunities and have a detrimental effect on the squad I think selling them is often the best answer.

I agree that we have let a lot of talent leave the club, but there are reasons behind this. Haven't they also usually been good deals from a financial perspective?

Agree0 Disagree1

21 Jan 2016 13:16:48
I have said numerous times that our pre-season transfer dealings last time were a disgrace and I know some like Pedro and want to see Rahman given a chance but the fact is they are not good enough. Now we read that we 'may' be interested in Pato a brilliant player for a short spell who has never fulfilled the potential he had and rumoured to 'possibly' be on his way to us. Clubs must be sick of Lavazzi being hawked around but if all is to be believed, not us. To me he is an impact player only and cannot last 90 minutes so are we that desperate that we will waste more money? Our fall from grace in such a short space of time is staggering.

Ed002 - I know he's now once again ex-manager, but I've been trying to keep tabs on anything you offer up re: Jose Mourinho and his next move. I wondered if you could share anything with us? From your posts elsewhere it appears he has his eye on a job, but not United?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - He has had a couple of offers which he has turned down and there will be one more soon that he will also turn down. There are a couple of jobs which would attact him with the possibilty of a third being avaialble in the summer.}

20 Jan 2016 17:52:20
And he'll do the same as always - win the league, ruin the club's image, sell good players who he falls out with, and then fail in his 3rd season.

Good Afternoon. the page has been very quiet for the past couple of days. Are there any juicy snippets that the godlike Eds may wish to share?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Nothing "juicy" right now.}

20 Jan 2016 14:52:04
Is there anything to report Ed002? I've stopped asking you for the major update as think you're too busy at the moment. Cheers.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing of particular note right now. The club are struggling to get players in as expected.}

20 Jan 2016 15:33:49
Think if the rumours are right though have been explain other wise pato lavetzzi would see us till shmmer.

20 Jan 2016 15:44:19
It's not just Chelsea that's been quiet though is it? Seems the whole of Europe is quiet. Do you think that they all are just waiting for the summer window? I know January is a hard month to pull deals off anyway.

A lot of managers nowadays are ex players. So I'm thinking who, out of Chelsea's players/ ex players would make a good manager one day. Sometime in the future I would love to see drogba in the manager hot seat.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jan 2016 14:29:56
Michael Ballack.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 14:35:23
Drogba might become Chelsea manager.
It seems that we're singing Pato?!?

Agree0 Disagree3

20 Jan 2016 15:54:43
What about Mark Hughes ex player doing a good job at Stoke as well.

20 Jan 2016 11:44:47
I miss the 2007 Chelsea. Pace. Power. Technical ability.

The days of Lampard, Essien and Ballack.

That's what direction we need to take imo, back to the power days!

Now this may be a bit of a strange one, But anyone fancy Mitrovic for striker in a fee years! Really rate him and feel he can be our drogba, he looks great at Newcastle, only shot of confidence!

Believable0 Unbelievable3

20 Jan 2016 12:17:19
Mitrovic's definitely got a lot of talent, that's for sure. If he develops well he could become a very good striker. With his physique as well he can really cause a defense problems. Very good prospect but I'm not sure whether his mentality will allow him to fulfill his potential.

20 Jan 2016 13:31:47
You got that right mate!

Rumours this morning (night) claim Pato imminent to Chelsea, hope not!

Agree3 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 13:51:20
Good observation Jackson. When I have watched him you can see the talent is there but there seems to be something going on his head. Things are rolling for him he is superb but when a decision or he doesn't get the ball he wants he appears to slip into a sulk.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 14:52:43
I just miss Ballack. WHAT. A. PLAYER.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 15:58:12
Could Ruben not have a bit of a mould of Ballack tall, strong good technically little bit of nasty like Essien just needs the right coaching. It would be great to have a ballack or lampard to mentor the youth 2 of the best midfielders I've seen at the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 16:16:54
Mitrovic is a lose canon but there's no doubt about his talent. If there is a striker that plays in Drogba style it is Mitrovic.

20 Jan 2016 10:53:54
So sky Italy reports lavezzi advisor is heading to London for talks I no a lot of u wouldn't want it but I always thought he was class great work ethic and skilful he could be a huge boost for us he's a tevez like worker for me.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

20 Jan 2016 11:46:51
Always liked him. Thought he was ideal for us when he left Napoli. Was impressed with him when we played them too. At 30 years old though, could he still do it? I think so and if the price is Low enough why not?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 13:49:40
We don't need a 30 year old who really does not last 90 minutes. We wasted too much money in the last transfer window to do it again.

20 Jan 2016 10:00:34
How do people rate Jorge Sampaoli as a manager? Personally I know absolutely nothing about him.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

20 Jan 2016 10:33:07
I don't have much to make my opinion on but I strongly believe he has obtained a chile team at the right time. could be way off the mark though, would love to know about his club management record as international management is very, very different. conte or pochettino for me.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Jan 2016 11:53:27
He would be another Scolari. Chelsea should bring back Ancelotti.

Conte for me too.

20 Jan 2016 13:47:41
My money is still on Simeone. Wrong if they do and he doesn't speak English but I have always felt that they have had discussions in the past about his long term interest.
