My hopeful team next year

Cech
Azpi-Cahill-luiz-Bertrand
RAMIRES-KDB
MATA-OSCAR-HAZARD
TORRES

If we get FALCAO slot him where Torres is

TORRES IS KING

Believable5 Unbelievable2

KDB is not gonna be a defensive midfielder that is for sure, if he is in the team he wil be playing on the right where Mata is, Mata playing center, Ocar being defensive midfielder.

KDB has been playing as a CM on loan.

Wouldn't you agree that we need a player like m'vila desperately I watched him for Rennes last week he was class just sat in front of the two cb's his tackling was great his long ball passing is awesome and he can even shoot well

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Totally agree

PB

Agree3 Disagree2

I don't really think we need anyone except a striker

Agree1 Disagree7

Have people actually fallen off the Romeu bandwagon after one bloody game? This kid will be the next Xabi Alonso, I guarantee it. His positioning is first class, ability to break up play is first class and his passing is first class.

He is 21 years old and had an off night, mainly due to his amount of game time this year. Once Mikel heads off to ACON and Romeu gets a run of games, I assure you that Mikel will struggle to get back in the team.

The answer to our problems is not 'lets just buy another player'. Everyone always calls for the youth to get a run, then if they make a mistake, they are slaughtered. Get behind them.

Melbourne CFC

Agree7 Disagree1

With Lampard likely to leave in January it's likely we will buy a CM/DM.

Agree3 Disagree1

Not neccessarily. Chabolahs loan expires in January I'm pretty sure, and from all accounts he is dominating the Championship with Watford. If we buy an established player it only hinders his and Romeus progress.

Melbourne CFC

Agree2 Disagree6

I can ensure you Romeu is gonna be some of the best defensive midfielders we wil ever get, he is extremly good i rate him better than Mikel, and Ramires in the long run but that goal was only due to lack of game and a very poor dicesion by Cech. Di Matteo really need to start switching players out to get some players some rest and the benched some experience aswell as some games in their legs. It could be an issue in a few games if Romeu only has played 2-3 games for half a season and just get throwed out there to play against a big team, when Mikel is gonna play in Africa.

Agree5 Disagree1

Romeu is better than Mikel offers a whole lot more all round. BLUEBOY1

chelsea vs manchester united:

Azpilicueta:
i know he gave a penalty away, but it was in the 120th minute and is still unexperienced, he has to work on his crosses a abit, but other than that i prefer him to ivanovic, he has a lot of pace, and always got back when needed

Bertrand: ´
give him a year or two, one of the best left backs in europe, he showed class, he attacks, he isnt affraid of having the ball, if cole leaves, i wont be worried

Sturridge:
he did miss a lot, and fell over and stuff but he has skill on the ball, and isnt affraid of shooting, scored a great goal, but taking into account hes been injured and ill, hasnt played a lot, he still scored a chance which torres probs would have missed

Romeu:
honestly, mikel is better and more experienced, when avb was in charge romeu looked better probs because he played a lot, he wasnt switched on against man u, commited some silly fouls, (im not blaming him for the goal, a silly pass from cech)

Piazon:
still unexperienced, good dribbling and ball control, nice passing give him a few years though, he still has to get stronger though

your thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Azpi unexperienced? not really. second half he delivered alot better, wish drogba was on the pitch.

bertrand is good shows alot of passion for chelsea, perfect cole replacement.

not sturridge was useless all game, mesdes about with the ball to much, lacks a football brain, only plays for himself. get rid.

romeu & cechs fault for the goal also no lne creating space for him to pass to. when ramires came on he was a different player, tons of interception & moves the ball on quick unlike mikel who thought he was an attacking mid.

piazon looked lost, but he is young.

im sorry but mikel isnt as good as romeu, romeus first proper competitive game, i said monday mikel romeu partnership would be stupid. plus i sedm to remember some stupid tackles from mikel. your biast to players you like which is wrong. one thing mikel is better at is holding onto the ball. that is it. ED002 how did Bruce Buck become our chairman? i heard he was a top lawyer back in America ? {Ed002's Note - Buck left the States around the same time as I did about 30 years or so ago. He is still a working lawyer and has worked with Gazprom and Sibneft. He was also directly involved with the legal aspects of the purchase of the club and, as part of the arrangement, took over from Ken Bates as Chairman.}

United fans raving about last nights game saying 'you beat kids'. Yeah fair enough there were very young, inexperienced players on for Scumchester but it wasn't like that on Sunday. They fielded their best team and scraped through. We had 9 men compared to their 13 (Crappenburg and Ferguson continuously twittering on to the 4th official for the decisions). They beat us by an offside goal. Last night we beat them but at least we didn't scrape through. We could've averted nearly all the goals........The first was just a really stupid mistake from both Cech and Romeu.....silly pass, caught in possession, BANG goal. Second, Luiz robbed halfway (again), BANG another mistake leading to a goal. 3rd was good work by United but again Luiz was switched off and Nani just blitzed through. 4th was a bit silly from Cesar. Didn't really need to do it but it just shows a little bit of inexperience. I'm sure he will come good. Positives to take out of the game are that Piazon gained some experience, Moses was brilliant IMO, Sturridge scored, Ramires and Romeu played together for a bit, the 3 magicians shone again, especially Juan (again). Soon as JT is back, defence is tightened up, we will be hammering teams.

Hi guys, I would just like to air a minor frustration of mine. Whilst I'm enjoying the entertaining side of our game lately I can't help but feel like it's all a bit worthless when we have Luiz as our last line of defence. I do understand he has certain qualities that are hugely beneficial to our side but more often than not he tends to put us in trouble. When we have Luiz, Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic fit and available it doesn't make sense to me that Luiz is chosen ahead of Cahill. For me the best pairing is by far Terry & Cahill. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't want to see Luiz playing I'm just saying I think we have a much better all round defender twiddling his thumbs on the bench most weeks.... am I the only one feeling this way?

I would still love to see Luiz as a DM for a game or 2- that way if he does lunge in, go on a bursting run or get caught in possesion as least he wouldn't be our last man!

RC

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I think you are focussing far too much on his few negatives rather than his many positives.

Agree2 Disagree2

Some of u fans are so thick its ridiculous. If Luiz is not supposed to go frwd that is 1000% on RDM to either get him to stay back or bench him. When he goes frwd, just like JT or even Cahill does at times someone should be covering just like Luiz covers when others make their run. Look where he lost the ball, well beyond the center line, that goal should not have been conceded. As a TEAM we need to play better defense. Let's see when Luiz picks up a knock and misses a few games how much better our back 4 play is.

Agree3 Disagree0

I think Luiz is a good defender but he needs to tame his rash decisions in making forward runs if he wants to become a great defender. With a bit more thought into when he makes forward runs he could be world class.

Agree0 Disagree1

Luiz has been in the prem and at Chelsea long enough noe to have matured sufficiently to cut out the silly mistakes and crazy runs that he makes when he should be in position.
At times I love him but I also feel he is too unpredictable and gives away too many chances.
Carvalho used to make forward runs every game, but he would wait until we were 2 or 3 up not in the first 20 mins when you want to be tight.
If someone came in with a huge bid for him I think we shouls take it and give Kallas or Cahill more games

Have to say the chelsea team this year has been a revelation to watch and in mata have the best player in the EPL by a country mile so far. Also in Oscar you appear to have a cracking player, he makes everything look so simple.

All the best for the rest of the season. I fancy yous may be in for a trophy or two.

Believable5 Unbelievable13

Champions league by luck? Are you taking the mick mate? You couldn't make it past the group stages. In a relatively easy group! We came from 3-1 down against Napoli to progress to Benfica. We beat Benfica in both legs convincingly to get Barca. We beat Barca at home 1-0 then went to the Camp Nou and playing with 10 men managed to get a 2-2 draw. Yes we played mighty defensively but ffs it was a semi, to progress to the final. We did what any team would've in our position and advanced. We then had to play Bayern at the Allianz Arena (their home pitch) in the final. We managed to level with one of our only real chances (shows a lethalness in front of goal) in the 89th min and then managed to beat them in penalties.

Your an absolute bitter flog mate. Give credit where its due. And before you ask for the same, I have not posted once about Sundays game claiming we were robbed.

I'm a Leeds fan (i know "who asked you?!")

But i can safely say Manchester United are by far more vilified by the football league and Premier League than Chelsea.

Chelsea might have won by whatever limited stretch you argue last season....but they've got far more support across the nation to succeed, than Man Utd.

MOT

Agree6 Disagree4

We won the Fa cup you person!

Peds

Agree3 Disagree1

You can not honestly say the premier league has vilified Man utd in anyway at anytime. The FA it can be argued is far more lenient towards Man Utd and more so SAF. If your talking about the wider community of fans then I agree. Success breeds jealousy, and Man Utd and the most successful team in English history. That jealousy leads to a form of hatred, it's the same in many walks of life.

But in contrast if you look at the recent racial claims made against Clattenburg, whether true or not, the English media as a whole have decided to claim instantly that we are claiming something that is false, due to the fact, we as a club, feel like we were hardly done by, with decisions on Sunday. This is appalling. If a player (from any club) has claimed he was racial abused by a ref, this player is without doubt the victim. It is being banded across the majority of media and fans that John Obi Mikel is lieing. Which is a disgrace.

We as a club are now, in the present, the most hated club in England in the media. Without doubt. The JT case, he was the one coping the abuse and hung out to dry because he made the comments. Now that it's reversed and Clattenburg is accused of making the racial abuse, yet we are still the ones being banded about as liars. Where is the consistency in that mate?

Am loving oscar d more everyday he plays, his comitment, his shooting ability, his track back and marking, his visions and dribling skills are wicked. Let me say2people who want mikel out of d squard, romeu is nt ready yet. And 4 those who always remember dat storrigde doesnt pass d ball and dnt remember the ones he passed, get behind this guy, at list he is nt afraid to shoot, and ball doesnt always fall out of his legs, and again his dribbling skills are not predictable like we all know who. Azpilicuata is a bit nervy always playing in motion but a real difficult defender to take on. Poaizon well still developing should be a little strong and physical. All in all good feature great ending bt very poor start. Just wish we could be starting better Stan

As usual people on here make a good point and then can't stop themselves going on to type rubbish. Torres may not be our answer at lone striker but he is a world class football player compared to Sturridge. Can't remember the last time a player was taken down in the box by the ball, the ball deserved a red for that. If he wasn't gifted a goal he wasn't going to score and he doesnt assist enough.

Agree3 Disagree0

Agree with above. Sturridge squandered plenty of chances where if he had simply passed instead of shot we would have won by 3/4 goals. He wouldn't of scored unless he was gifted the goal. Even when we played him as a winger he never passed that much and when he did it was never the right pass. He's definitely leaving in January as he isn't going to sign a new contract.

To the people who still think Torres is the man.
At the moment Cahil our 3rd choise CENTER BACK is currently on 4 goals which is 1 less than the 5 goals Torres has scored, on top of that he has also played HALF the games Torres have atm. That is just not good enough for a striker in a team like Chelsea, we need a strong person who dont hesitate and dont waste so many chances aswell as being able to score pretty consistently.

D.

Or you could look at the fact we are banging in goals from everywhere. The bloke doesnt even play and the gromits on here still slate him. Come up with something new.

Melbourne CFC

On this logic, Real Madrid should drop Higuain, Arsenal should drop Podolski, City should drop Aguero and Tevez? What a pointless comment. In my opinion, Cahill's goal tally has shown how versatile we are at getting goals from anywhere on the pitch and also cements my argument he was steal-of-the-season in terms of last years transfers.

Week after week on here I see Cesar, Romeu and Sturridge picked for teams, but I think we all saw tonight that the guys that play ahead of them are better. Cesar, caused a penalty, Romeu got caught in possession and Sturridge missed, tried stupid things and isn't a team player.

I thought Mikel looked way better than Romeu and his experience definitely showed, granted Romeu doesn't play much, don't think he's going to walk into the first team.

Cesar looked good, but was a little naive and got caught out ball watching. Still got a lot to learn about the league.

Sturridge, he's not the right player for Chelsea, anymore. Say what you like about Torres, he's better on the ball, has a better cross and well, he passes. I'd rather have Torres with assists than missed opportunities.

No a great game tonight and nothing to be excited about. Moses looked good, but we had to bring on our first team to beat them, not ideal. They way we ended is probably very close to the team we'll see in a couple years, but they'll obviously be much better. Good to win, but we should have done better.

Unsigned, I didn't say they didn't cut it, I said they aren't starters, at the moment. And I think I said they haven't played much. I don't think Sturridge fits in at Chelsea anymore, but he was good for Bolton.
