Hey ed do you see the possibility of us going in for Walcott as he is at 'war' with Arsenal over a new contract, acording to newspapers, do you think we'll go in for him? {Ed001's Note - why would Chelsea want him? He has not shown any reason to believe he is worth the huge sums he is asking for, even on the rare occasions he has been fit.}

I would say that Chelsea aren't going to sign, Moses, Holiett, Modric or Subotic.
I reckon we will try and sign over January and summer windows - Moutinho, Hazard, Higuain, Cahill, Azpilicueta, De Bruyne.

Yes we we're appalling. We didn't create any clear cut chances until the last 30 mins. Torres came on and hit bar from 30 yard with 1st touches and then set Drog up with a great turn and through ball. We're lacking an end product that a confident Nando would give us, and we're so lazy when it comes to defending its scary, silly mistakes and people switching off all the time. Who would you bring in if you had the chance and being realistic PR! and JO! ?

To be honest OsgoodIsking i would bring in Debruyne and Cahill this window. Then have a major overhaul right at the beginning of the summer window so the squad can adjust over pre-season.

Cahill deal almost done ( defence improved ), we need a more goal scoring offence. I would have Hulk and Higuain a priority for january transfers. Soldado is said to be looked at, do you know a thing about it ed ? He is a pretty good forward and on form at valencua {Ed002's Note - No, nothing.}

Too many individual errors this season from Terry's mistakes v arsenal,luiz terrible marking,cech looking scared due to his awful head injury.Torres not playing,so how the hell can he rediscover his form.Unsure on AVB only time will tell,let's back him in transfer market as we are lacking quality throughout the team and then judge at the end of season.Gary Cahill,not the greatest player,but a good bit of business 7m.Hopefully josh goes there on loan and comes back a better player.luiz marking at the back is terrible,looks great going forward though.

We cant keep having young small fast players we need strength in our team, look at our midfield ramires isnt the strongest or lampard or merieles.
Where should we play Luiz? Should he be persisted with as a CB or RB as you suggest? He certainly has such skill he must surely be in the team somewhere and some have suggested this should be in midfield as alternate to Romeu, or even Meireles. I could see some case for trying him as a striker!
Don't see any major changes till the summer either. It's clear to me that Drogba is no longer the player he once was so he will end up leaving. I also have doubts over the future of Lampard and Terry who are ageing and are no longer playing at their best. Kalou and Malouda are also going to have to be sold sooner rather than later. Ferreira should also be let go of in the summer. I'm not sure who AVB will be bringing in to replace them but I know for sure that we will need to first clearout all the ageing players and all the deadwood in order to build a new squad.
I have seen luiz play LB for benfica against Liverpool and he was outstanding so maybe try him RB and see how he gets on.Surely can't be worse than what we have in that posistion already(Apart from ivanovic who is a CB) luiz likes to push forward and he can playing at RB.Similar as cole does on the left.

I like the look of Nathan Ake guys. He is 16 years old but very athletic and composed on the ball. Saw the other day that he cycles to training every day, good dedication. I'm telling you, watch out for this guy. If him, Chalobah and Josh live up to their expectations then we have 3 future legends ready to build the backbone to our team. I hate to say it, but i wish we had Ferguson or Wenger at times like this, they are the best in the business at building legends. I hope AVB gives them a chance when we have replaced the old guard and the pressure wont be as intense because whilst the old players are there i cant see 3 youngsters like these getting the chances they should. Once we have a younger squad with young 20 year olds and mid 20 year olds playing every week then it will be easier for the manager to put in teenagers to develop. Let the old ones help them on the training pitch and from the side line.
Future Chelsea players if all goes well: Ake, Chalobah, Bertrand, Lalkovic, Feruz, Lakaku, Piazon, Davilla, Courtois.
Thats more top quality youngsters than we've had in recent memory ready to come through. We are making strides Youth Development wise, we just need to trust them when it comes to integrating them into the squad and team more.
Lets start 2012 positive. If we set our goals this year to make the top 6, win the fa cup and get to the quarters/semis of the Champs league then i'll be happy. One year without Champs League will not kill us and will not be then end of us. Look at Spuds, they arnt in it this year, they did awful in the Europa league, yet ask any of their fans and they will tell you that this is their most exciting and best season for the past 30 years or so. We have enough talent, enough money in the bank, enough resources, and we are in the best place in England to attract foreign talent in order for us to qualify next season. If we do make it this season then its a bonus i think.

Yes i think so too as well mate. If we take it game by game then before we know it we'll be in a strong position with not long left. Just don't want anyone expecting 4th at the moment because it may not happen. And also i don't think people should believe it would be THAT bad if we didn't get it.

You fans should really stop hating on AVB. We should embrace the situation the club is currently in. It was pretty much the same last year - a mess. There's nothing to worry about because when Chelsea is in a mess, roman is pissed. He then either sacks the manager (which is highly unlikely given his undeniable talent and the 13 mil we paid for him) or buys new players (which is what we all want). If you remember last year, we were in a similar mess and roman new 70 mil in a night. Once we clear out all the dead wood and bring in some new and well motivated players, AVB will truly be able to stamp his authority on the squad. We should support AVB - he's a class in front of ancelotti. Carlo wanted to bring pirlo and gatusso with him whereas AVB wanted hulk and falcao. Carlo would do the best with what he had which isn't what we want as you can see from all the hatred towards mikel and malouda on this page. He would constantly say we didn't need anyone and deny Neymar links. AVB is the opposite and this is exactly what we want. He will come good and we will sign good players in the summer so fear not. Just get behind your manager and wait. Remember, neither of the Manchester clubs are in the CL now are they?
Am I missing something here? Wasn't AVB that assessed the team in the summer and decided that was good enough? Wasn't AVB that kept saying we do not need the targets reported? A responsible and a manager with authority would stand in front of the board and say that we either sign those players or the season is over and yes maybe walk. Wake up, AVB does not have the weight that the players and the board require to respect him.

With the calibre of strikers we are being linked with, higuain, hulk, cavani, would you not think Chelsea will have to wait till the summer to sign the likes of one of these players, despite the eveident need for one at this point in time? Also i have heard a rumour linking us with Soldado, any truth? {Ed002's Note - There is no schedule on the proposed purchased. I don't know of any interest in Soldado.}

Well, had he gone to Arsenal, i guarantee you, he would have featured in the first time on regular basis, not neceserily starting, but definitely playing actual games. Something is so rotten in our player development system, that we only start appreciating them if they have a good season on loan. {Ed002's Note - I assume you are talking about Lukaku.}
Talking about Lukaku and is totally right.
We have Bertrand and Lukaku who i believe should be involved in our starting XI. Cole is here for a season or two at most, and our strikers are a mess. They need a chance to prove worth playing for Chelsea.

Right. If we're gonna get poor results, we might as well start playing some youth. God knows why Ferreira plays, he is championship quality at best, while drogba looks disinterested. I'm sure we will all be happy is this is the team come feb 1st

Disagree with De Bruyne starting, he will be more like Lukaku a certainty for the future.
Terry, Lamps and Drogba need to get used to bench seats. I think we should play the diamond midfield like Ac Milan and Romeu should still hold his place along with Ramires and Essien (if back to form). Cahill is a good deal, but IMO Ivanovic is our best RB option until we get a proven talent.
I agree my son! But I doubt we are going to sign van der Weil at all. But I agree this team is very realistic. But remember Romeu!

everyones moaning, were going through a re build! whats happened to the days when stamford bridge was for hardcore fans, with loads of air in the lungs, so what were going through a ruff patch, just lik liverpool did a few years back. every one forgets weve let alot of players go without replacing them! zhirkov, ballack, deco, belletti, and now alex and anelka. we have a small weak squad atm but well build onit in jan and then the summer. we tried gettin pastore but ended up with meireless things will only get better! i say bring back the days of 80s 90s football! atleast we appreciated winning the fa cup in 97 and the uefa cup peopl,e want far to much far to quickly! we need this re build. u all moan about drogs and lampard but hu else do we have at the minute? we need new players which will be coming in either jan or the summer, so all just shut up and support ur team
Everyone savoured the 97 fa cup. U can't really comPare anything with that. My dad took to Chelsea since 84, I was 2. Nothing means more than winning that first proper trophy.
