Name the teams Torres has scored against for us?? Non league lads and your beginning to piss me off with this he plays for the team crap, obviously he plays for the team we brought him for 50 million!!!! The only decent team he scored against was united and then 10mins later missed the worst miss I've ever seen in Chelsea colours !! True blue not bias!!!!!

Believable5 Unbelievable9

True Idiot

Looks like Torres finally found his level...Championship. Even Jonny Evans scored a better goal than Torres lol.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Must be a manc posting rubbish again.
Think everyone knew it was a matter of time before nando got going properly like his Liverpool days.still gutted we sold him to our rivals.

Yesterday's game was a perfect example of why the majority of the fans (myself included) adore torres meanwhile give sturridge so much sh*t.torres always plays for the badge the fans and his teammates meanwhile sturridge plays for himself and his dad probably.i still think he has real talent but i really hope we have a coach who will sit with him and work with him to improve his mentality and to constantly remind him that the team always comes first.it would be a real waste of talent if he continues to play like this.gotta say,for the meireles goal, torres showed the world what real class is like, the commentary summed it up real good,"he plays for the team"
surprised our ol pal coz hasnt posted yet

good game lads

aL

Believable4 Unbelievable0

World class eh,scores 2 goals against average championship opposition and hes a world beater again, lets see how he does against City,if he plays.

Agree1 Disagree3

Seriously there are a lot of muppets coming on here talking crap about our team that dont even have the balls to sign off or even give us an indication on what team they support.go back to crying in bed coz were the only english team left in europe

aL

Agree4 Disagree0

Jealousy is the only reason, we've been s**t half the season and were still above Liverpool. It's funny all they think about is Torres still.

If you win the champions league and don't qualify to next season's competition in your league (5th place in Chelsea's case), do you still take part in the CL next season ?? ,, just read a report that if Chelsea win the CL (hopefully), only the 3 leaders of the EPL will qualify with Chelsea to CL football ?!!
thnx in advance {Ed002's Note - That is correct - the four places go to the winner and top three if Chelsea win and end up 5th or worse.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

So does that mean if arsenal won it and we finished 4th, we would not qualify {Ed002's Note - Arsenal are not in the Champions League.}

12 goals in 4 games under RDM ,,, man city will be another big test for this team. Win or lose , don't care , they got the spirit back and that's what i was looking for.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Agree pal, a month ago i was nervous about playing bottom half teams at the bridge, now im well up for City Away and confident we can get something, such a massive contrast

SHED END

Agree1 Disagree0

Settle down lads u only beat a champioship team and still let in 2 goals come back when u beat man city haha azda14

Agree0 Disagree2

Chelsea beat man city 2-1 earlier in the season..

Agree1 Disagree0

We already have once this season u melt

Agree1 Disagree0

We already have,dickie!

Agree1 Disagree0

No no, we put 5 past a Championship team a few days after we put 4 past Napoli, we're coming off the back of 4 straight wins, and we beat City earlier in the season, we'll see Wednesday night pal

Fancy us beating anybody now, anyone remember about 6 weeks ago when i suggested AVB out and RDM in for the rest of the season, and everyone jumped on me saying that the performances under AVB were the PEAK that ANYONE could get out of the side, and that RDM would be a step back from AVB so there would be no point, and i was a stupid gloryhunter for haing such an idea and should support Man City?. Still think we should of stuck with AVB?

SHED END

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Credit where credit is due Shed. Wanna tell me where we will finish this year and what cups we will win? Get those right and I will be extremely impressed mate.

Melbourne CFC

Yes, i'm with you on this. Was suggested quite a few options and called some funny names as well. Whatever. As long as we are performing like we are.

Optomistically i think 3rd and Cup Double,

Reallistically i think 3rd and Cup Double,

Honestly think it could happen

SHED END

Lads I think we could, and we might achieve a lot more but I'd still settle for just fourth spot, not because I think we're not good enough but because missing fourth spot would kill me.

Kenny

Agree1 Disagree0

I really hope this run continues, to me RDM seems more like one of the lads and is using hte knowledge and skills of the senior players more in his decisions than AVB did, its going well atm cause where winning and i hope it continues, i just hope when our form dips he can stand firm as the manager and not get drowned out unlike AVB who took a tougher and probably more traditional approach. Im glad your more upbeat Shed End and hope rhis form continues for us fans.

Ha ha cozinoz how is Carroll getting on today?

FT9

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Mate it has taken all of my good graces not to go on the Liverpool page and remind him of the sh*t he has given Torres but its probably best to wait a day or two, more pressing issues in English football at the moment.

That and I actually dont mind Ed001 who is a die hard Liverpool fan and a good bloke (oxymoron?)

So pleased for Nando though, lets just hope for good news on Muamba tomorrow and we can start having a little niggle at the pool fans.

What i have learned from todays game:

Torres is a fantastic team player. And when goals come, hopefully he will find it easier for himself. This was obviously his best game in ashirt and i know there will be more.

Sturridge need to be given some talking to. Although i am not this rash on him as most here are, he just has to realize that him personal goals of being selected for national squad should not come in front of his daily job.

Mikel and Kalou have no future with this team.

Bertrand so far only does one thing - run. This is not gonna make him a viable option for the future left back of Chelsea. I might be too demanding of him, bit i want him to succeed more than anyone of our youngsters, he has the best chance to impress out of all ofnthem, but doesn't still. Not one proper cross or purposefuf forward pass. Defensively wasn't good either.

Why is Essien so clumsy? I don't know. But his clearances are notoriously ugly. Although what we did on the 18 yard line of ours the whole game demands for some butt kicking.

RDM - i thank you mightly for playing two in the base and a roaming trequartista as an alternative for 4-3-3. I was just writing about it. It works perfectly for the team. Look at how both Mata and Meireles performed there today.

Meireles is much better suited for playing in the hole than as a holding player. And he did really good in unleashing Torres.

We have a plan B and it is working.

Great man mangement from RDM. A lot will jump on his bandwagon now. And Torres scoring will not do any disservice for the man. The team looks happy. The stadium is excited nad so are Chelsea fans around the globe. Happy days.

JG

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Great post JG, I think I misjudged you, you certainly know what your talking about and I seem to agree with the majority of what you say.

Torres has worked so hard for Chelsea... FOR CHELSEA. Although it hasn't paid off really until today he has never blazed away and has always looked to put team mates in. Alot of people say we didn't pay $50m for assist. We paid $50m for a player to win us games, and Torres always try's to do his best by the team. Sturridge... you summed it up, chalk and cheese mate.

Really impressed with Cahill today, although it wasn't his best game defensively, it would have been unbelievably hard for him to play. You could see how emotion he was in the post-match interview he did. He said the game was a blur for him.

I'm not yet going to come out and say RDM for manager, or that Torres has come good (made that mistake after Swansea) but the signs are certainly improving for the side.

mikec

Believable2 Unbelievable0

As a liverpool fan, i hope u see why we held him in such regard, when he's on he's on, but come on.. carrol could get 2 against them lot. ahaha just kiddin we all know carrol is pants.

aussiepool tristan

Agree4 Disagree0

Its not the goals that impressed me with Torres, he also had 2 assists and turned down the chance to get a hat trick to give the ball to Meirelles who was in a far better position.

We always saw why you held him in regard mate, we saw it constantly when you played us, my hope now is that you get knocked out of the FA Cup but if you do make it through than for Torres to remind you why you no longer are considered a threat.

While I agree Sturridge is extremely greedy he does add something to our team. I think he could learn from Torres... absolute class act. Main difference between the two is Torres puts the team first, Sturridge puts himself first.

So please for Torres, so deserving of this game. Hope he can kick on now and get a couple in the league.

I can't hide my frustration any longer.

The more that 'idiot' Sturridge starts the more problems i predict against reputable oppenents.

Does he know the definition of a pass???

Shak

Couldnt agree more. Torres couldve banged in a couple more had danny been less selfish. He is a good player but he was a disgrace yesterday. Needs a talking to thats for sure.

Absolute class Gary Cahill! Obviously would be very tough for him to play atm but what a gesture. Great goal.

Melbourne CFC

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Same story im afraid, Torres open to score and Sturridge goes alone and misses. Really like Sturridge, rate him as a player but someone needs to make him realise selfishness gets you nowhere in a team sport.

That has just made this result all the more impressive. Far from a convincing finish but yes cozinoz Torres did score!

Very quiet on here today, I really hope that Bertrand gets a run out, Lukaku gets some time and Torres finds the net. I've learnt with such predictions that 2 out of 3 aint bad.

Result would be terrific, would be a terrible game not to get the job done and lose momentum. But in the scheme of things, its just a game.

Prayers going out to Fabrice Muamba once again, hope he can fight through the next 24 hours and begin recovering from tomorrow onwards. Would love to hear the supporters showing as much class as Spurs last night and chant the lads name.

Melbourne CFC

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Yeah Bertrand's starting but he's the only youngster even in the squad which is a shame.
