{Ed002's Note - In the event that two or more teams finish level on points within a group, the tiebreakers are as follows:

1. Head-to-head points between the teams in question.
2. Head-to-head goal difference between the teams in question.
3. Head-to-head goals scored between the teams in question.
4. Goal difference in all group games.
5. Goals scored in all group games.
6. If two teams are still level and play each other in the final group game, they will have a penalty shootout.
7. Fair play record (three points for a red, one for a yellow).
8. Drawing of lots.

In deciding the best third-place teams, the tiebreakers are:

1. Points.
2. Goal difference.
3. Goals scored.
4. Fair play record (three points for a red, one for a yellow).

As far as I know, Austria and Portugal can still finish in the top 2,as long as they both win their final match in the group.

Hi Ed002, hope you're having a good day. I'm really trying not to bombard you with questions, but I'm a big fan of Batshuayi so I just had to ask.
I was reading on the Spurs page and saw a comment of yours regarding Batshuayi.

"In recent discussions with a major European side over the transfer of another player, Batshuayi was discussed and a tentative agreement reached if he were to become available. Marseille are open to this deal as it will help in other endeavours the club has - but they would like the matter addressed behind closed doors as far as they can. }"

Now, you also told us that a couple of weeks ago a Marseille representative had met with Chelsea a couple of times. So connecting the dots, are Chelsea the major European side that reached a tentative agreement with Marseille over Batshuayi? Of course I realize things are never certain in football and that it can change. But I'd really appreciate an answer.

Thanks a lot for all the hard work you put into these sites. They're the best.

{Ed002's Note - I am sorry but it is not really worthwhile providing anything to this page at the moment Jackson.}

I understand, Ed, and I'll keep it in mind. I'm sorry trolls and idiots continue to spout abuse your way. But I suppose that's what the Internet has come to.

Take care in the meantime!

Jackson,
Not sure how true, but I think Batshuayi could be bound for Juventus, possibly a domino effect of Real Madrid calling back Morata.

If Morata indeed leaves I can definitely see that happening. However with Madrid trying to negotiate a deal for Pogba, maybe Juventus might end up negotiating for Morata to stay as well.
