Hi ed now that you have everyone who has signed ups emails would it be possible to let people know if you start posting again? I still check this site a good few times daily and from my point of view there is no useful info without your posts. As others have previously stated I feel the vast majority of people who visit the site do so for the accuracy of information provided. If people do not appreciate the eds why do they come/post?

Ed002: Is Chelsea still interested in Kroos, having agreed a deal for Fabregas?

Thank you.

Wish it were so!

I was terrified watching Costa play against Netherlands.A bit better performance against Chile
You can't blame the lad to be honest, tiki-taka is not for him.
He should have chosen Brazil over Spain to suit his style.

this maybe a bit harsh but I hope he comes good for us else we'll have another expensive flop.
feeling sorry for Spain, hope our lads leave that behind and get ready to burn burnley

Probably a bit of Man of the match fever but what would you guys think of the possible acquisition of Sanchez? Barca are willing to listen to offers and I think he would provide great competition for Costa plus hopefully Lukaku for the striker role. He is fantastic technically and has a great work ethic. He is also lighting quick and versatile which gives me the impression that he is exactly a Jose Mourinho sort of player. For me he is way better value than Cavani who would cost a lot more plus, he is ten times better than other targets we are looking at such as Iturbe and Callejon! I think he would really suit our style of play so I hope the club consider him as a potential striker next season (which is where I feel he operates best) cause I think he is made for the Prem as well. What are your thoughts guys?

Has nothing to do with the match. Think Sanchez would be a great buy for any team. Wouldn't mind if we went in with a cheeky bid for him. All wishful thinking though, I don't think we will.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he'd be a pretty good signing but don't think its gna happen. Looks most likely that he'll end up at Juve.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree re Sanchez.

If Vidal is available this summer he is a must get. It would complete our midfield if you ask me and give more defensive cover to the Chelsea defence.

Yeah he made a lot of good runs but was never fed the ball. However when he did get a couple of chances he looked like Torres in front of goal which isn't a good thing. Let's put it down to his recent injuries and not being match fit and hope he comes back sharper after pre season (he has to sign first of course)

{Ed018's Note - and?}

Ed18 are you watching WC?

{Ed018's Note - I have it on but I'm not paying to much attention}

Take a look from time to time. Maybe you will realize there are some quality offensive left backs which wouldn't cost a fortune.

{Ed018's Note - isn't the match over}

chn will you please stop posting absolute rubbish! The lad you're talking about is a rank average left back! Calm down a bit!

{Ed018's Note - he's been in rare form lately}

So the club are looking into expanding Stamford Bridge to a 55-60,000 stadium; along with the regeneration of the local area!

The fact that this is being reconsidered only a month since Labour were voted into local office shouldn't be overlooked. The Conservatives, when in local office, were heavily against any such proposal and the club may find meetings with Labour more easy going and progressive.

The other way of looking at it is the fact that the club may be attempting to rinse out any chance that expanding the stadium will be successful. If they get heavy local opposition to the new plans then they can say, hand on heart to fans who want to stay at the current site, that it is in no way feasible and a new site/stadium is the only option available.

Hopefully this is a matter that, one way or another, can be quickly resolved. I think most will agree that sorting out the stadium, either in its current format or at a new site, is a key topic for the club going forward.

This has been banded back and forth for the past 10 years, if you look at WAGNOH they have writen an article on this. The cost is astronomical and isn't plausable, we need to move site whether we like it or not :(

Yeah, I do think they're playing the political long game to make it look like they've explored all options to expand the stadium and stay put.

Its clear they want a new stadium. but where?

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I think we have missed a massive opportunity with Battersea Power Station. It could have been an iconic stadium. We desperately need a bigger pitch for our style of play as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have been amazing Battersea but was probably a non starter.

Agree0 Disagree0

We didn't get Battersea because we were not the highest bidder apparently.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty much no way we'll expand on the current site. Too many issues and way to expensive. If we upgraded with the land we currently own we'd get to 50k seats max. If we buy the surrounding land we might just be able to push to 60k but it'd mean an entire rebuild. Plus it'd mean knocking down a veterans home which I doubt will happen.
At the moment, there are no other viable locations. The club has been working on a new stadium for 6-7 years already. It'll probably take at least 2-3 more years before we even break ground somewhere.

Hi Ed, I know that agents will obviously lie when required so as to secure the best deals for their clients, but the agent of Sefa Isci has said that we and Benfica are interested in him.

Do you know if there is any truth to this?

Thanks
