Why the hell would madrid sell varane to us, and why would he want to come here even is mourinho was boss.

Huge lukaku fan but he needs one more season on loan paying every week and in Europe. Strikers are at there very best 27-32 so his not quite ready in my opinion but apart from that 3 brazilians is good to see
Agree0

Strikers are best between 27 - 32? Like Torres and Shevchenko and Michael Owen then I suppose
Strikers peak ages can vary. The ones that rely on pace are often finished by the time their 28 but you do get some exceptions, everyone is different.

ED002 reading the Guardian's piece do Chelsea have a net debt of £878 Million? {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you have read but Chelsea have no debt.}
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Ya but all debt is paid by mr. abromovic {Ed002's Note - Er, no.}

Are we in debt thou {Ed002's Note - You want me to draw a picture?}
Agree0

I believe the debt was turned into equity and is held by the parent company who owns Chelsea as opposed to Chelsea itself.

Haha literally why do people read the football articles in papers? Honestly its complete babble and fictitious nonsense.

Controversial opinion coming here.
I'm just going to put this out there.
I'd rather Fernando Torres stays at Chelsea than spend another 50 million on a new striker - Falcao and Cavani included.
First off, I fully understand that he is still likely to move on in the summer and this isn't a new reaction to his recent form (that's just pushed this opinion along a bit).
Torres has scored 20 goals this season, that's a decent return, and he is currently in the best form of his Chelsea career. Ba, despite not fitting into our system too well, has scored goals and will probably be around for another season; we also have one of the best young strikers in Europe (Lukaku) to come back from another, beneficial, loan in a years time.
If you add a young striker like, just for arguments sake, Aubameyang or, to a lesser degree, Schurrle into the fold that's a very good striking department for the next couple of years. That's without mentioning the very good youth strikers we have coming through the internal system.
Having said that, if (well when) Torres leaves in the summer Cavani would be the much better option over Falcao.

Move on from Torres end of! He is only playing well to try and attract other clubs.

I would love Torres to stay, would love to see 1 great season in blue, plus you will all say 1 more year if he scored the winner against Liverpool this weekend,

No I wouldn't. So where did u get that from.

Totally agree. Maybe its all too late to save his chelsea career but I wouldn't mind if he stayed next season as long as we bring back lukaku aswell.

Got to say it out loud fearing it may not last for long, but Fernando Torres has been playing the best football of his Chelsea career. Great effort, combined with confidence boost and pace in both decisions and feet.
Really impressed with the lad. We need him to do good in these closing stages of the campaign.

The new chelsea shirt that's just been revealed. Absolutely brilliant. Simple, sophisticated and classy. Has a retro feel to it, but a great look!

Is it just me or has Torres been wearing this mask a lot longer than Demba Ba did, and Ba's kick to to nose looked loads worse.

Maybe the break was worse or it's been damaged more in training or v Rubin when he got Hit in face. Doesn't matter as long as he keeps playing well

His mask is like dumbos magic feather. I hope he keeps it on forever, he's been playing well.

Bertrand has really impressed in the last few games he's played. Maybe what he needs is a run of games.

Might be a bit more fair than writing him off based on a few fleeting appearances and cameos as a left midfielder. For me he needs to improve in the final third, but defensively he has been good for the most part, and seems to have a good attitude.

A left midfielder he ain't, but he's been one of our best players since he came in for Cole.
