Hey Ed

How would you say Josh Mceachran is going at swansea? Do you think this loan stint will be like a Kakuta at bolton or do you think he could shine? {Ed002's Note - I have no thoughts on the matter to be honest.}

Hi edd, im interested to no how interest in merelish came up? was it because he handed in a transfer request and we we'd go for it while he was up? or was the transfer request put up because of chelsea interest before hand? {Ed002's Note - The transfer request was driven by a commitment issue that he felt he did not address. AVB had a hankering after the player in any case (this was known by his agent) and a deal was done.}

Our thoughts are with muambas family

Dont know how spam can come on this site and disagree with such a terrific sentiment. Thoughts and prayers with Muamba, reminds you that their is more important things than footy games.

Ed i think in this case sc*m can be used!

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - WE just don't want to go there with all of this agree/disagree stuff.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Fair enough, once again in the scheme of things it is a very trivial thing to bring up.

Heard Muamba is in a stable condition now, hope he can fully recover.

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - Let's hope that he can. Have a good day.}

Agree1 Disagree0

The Grand Prix is on in Melbourne Ed, the blues play tonight and the sun is shining. That combined with news of Muamba in stable condition is a recipe for a pretty decent day.

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - Should be good - and I have a day out in Odessa planned.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Well i'd imagine the sun would be shining there too if we are referring to Texas rather than the Ukraine. No box for you at the game today then?

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - Actually it is the Ukraine. I will not see the game today as I am in Israel at present. Must go.}

what the heck had happened to torres i have been watching some of his goals and he use to rip defences apart with his pace and skill. torres and gerrard use to be a force to reckon with. we need mata to play behind torres and sturridge to play alongside him to get the best out of him

How much influence will a new manager have over the transfer dealings? For example, if Lowe were to come would he be able to bring in players he has worked with like Swinesteiger and Muller? As I understand it there is a collective decision. Who tends to contribute?

With nothing much happening on the transfer front until the summer, i though i'll share my idea of how would i try to rebuild the side for the next term.

When it comes to our goalkeeper and the defence - i am totaly pleased with the progress of Luiz, with a few solid games from Cahill, with the longevity of Terry, with a yet anothe solid season from Brana. Cole had a rough ride, but there are reasons for that as well. We know he rarely had a game off, did not have a senior competition and was getting the wear because he was covering the whole of the left side due to Mata wanderous play.

The way i see it - we should sell Bosingwa in the summer and if we see anyone we like to bring in for a competition to the right, or preferably a full back who can play both sides would be perfect. I wouldn't spend much into the defence as there are no urgencies. It is especially pleasing that we have got Ake and Chalobah who look a great promise.

I prefer the lineup with two holding - box to box midfielders and a trequartista behind the striker. For this we have a perfect set -up. we can lineup Essien with Ramires at the base and Mata in the hole. If we play a flat midfield we have Lampard and the aforementioned two. With Romeu emerging we look alright. But there should be questions asked and answered over the likes of Obi and Meireles. I prefer to sell them both in the summer, but then we must invest into a youthful player with potential. I'd say someone like Rodwell. If we call time on Essien, then there is no question, that the best one possible is Yann M'Villa.

Forwards. This is our weakest line and the front office has to do radical changes over here to have a chance to challenge for top honours. Playing 4-3-3 requires pacy wing forwards who can both cross, pass and shoot. That is a lot to ask, but the players in the position are exceptional.

No wonder we can't do thing with makeshift players playing out of position. My first option for the left is DiMaria. Perfect for the set up we run, with lots of pace, great cross, an eye for a pass. Playing at the top level and performing at the top level. That is a lot. He would cost a lot, but it is better to look for a natural wide player, than buy yet another trequartista like Lucas Moura and drop them to the wide positions and then complain that we are not playing to their strengths. For the right i have two options in Hulk and Mueller. Mueller might become available with the emergence of Kroos and the summer arrival of Shaquiri. While there is no point in explaining the Hulk's preference.

I don't think we should be spending money on a forward in the mold of Higuain, when i don't think he'll do good without the aforementioned service and assistance from the wide areas.

We should buy for our needs and do it wisely, rather than chace every hotshot with a market value over 30 mil.

Agree with the majority JG but feel we desperately need a natural RB. Even though I thank Ivan is a cracking option, I would prefer to have him providing cover at both CB and RB as required.

I think next year Romeu will command a CDM position and will become an immense talent (thanks AVB). Already proven this year he can match it with the big boys. I would prefer Javi Martinez to M'Villa as I think he offers the same qualities as Essien going forward and is a terrific defender, although I wouldnt complain with M'Villa.

I would love to see Di Maria at the bridge and have been a massive fan of his for quite a while, not sure if it is likely to happen. If not maybe Munian or Hazard.

I think we need to give Didi another year so he can help mould Lukaku, but am no longer Torres can reach the form he once had, I would love to see Benzema (unlikely) or Higuan. Although Cavani would fit the mould well also, I would have to think if we and RM are in for him, he will choose the latter.

I know it may seem I am asking for a bit much I truly feel if we make the top 4 than Roman will commence a complete squad overhaul.

After watching yet another game of our youth, i must say i am impressed with the lads and with the job Adi Viveash does.

Obviously Feruz, Piazon, Chalobah and Ake should become great player for our side, if we don't screw their development somewhere in Holland, or Hamburg.

All four of them with bags of potential and especially Chalobah should get a transition into the first team consideration pretty soon. Although, - i must say, that i like Challobah as a holding midfielder even better. Just as in the United game.

These four are easy to pick, of course. But the one i liked most in this recent game was Todd Kane. My favorite youth player for sure. I can't even figure where to start. A pefrect full back.

I agree with Ake, Chalobah, Piazon and Feruz, they are all great talents and should all along with Josh be in the first team squad in a few years time. Todd Kane isn't good enough though, he's a league 1 or 2 player at best i think. Ive watched him a lot in the last 2 seasons and he's been switched from a winger to a full back because of the steadiness he brings and the natural way he gets forward. But overall he'll never be a top top player.

All have great potential and are already being talked about as future first team players. However, the one player that I really like and who I think has the greatest chance of breaking into the first team is John Swift. He reminds me so much of Nigel Spackman, strength, bags of stamina, great tackler, makes Greta off the ball runs and uses the ball really well.

Ed, are we going to win the champions league and get the top four spot? {Ed001's Note - more likely it will be a top four finish than winning the Champions League, Barca and Real Madrid look a class apart. Mind, catch them on an off day and there is every chance in a one off game like the final.}

hey ed,
also was wondering if there were any specific developments in the eden hazard saga. and is he still being scouted regularly?
thanks, cail {Ed002's Note - Nothing.}

Man give it up. We will know nothing about it for a while, the Ed would be the first to update us. He seemingly wants to go to every club, transfer window is a long way off.
