I don't understand why Meireles is playing for Chelsea. I think it was waste of money. He must be sold.

Rather mikel and essien leave first

Haha I'd rather have a half fit essien than merieles, also mikel looks a half decent player when he's had a run of games

I don't know how to feel about essien. If he gets close to what he was then he would be the perfect pairing to rami in the centre. That being said its like saying if I grew another foot I could make a decent center in basketball (it's a LONG shot). He also is on larger wages and if we can get ok money for him (10m) I'd say that's worth the risk of him finding form for another team.

Take abit of time to watch meireles in our champions league games at the impact he made he was banned from champions league final for the club! Barca broke he threw himself in knowing hed get booked but it had to be done,the bloke gibes 100 percent every game never stops running yea sometimes his passings abit poor mikel had 1 good game CL final and essiens well off the mark meireles deserves credit for what he did last year

Exactly he did t stop running. Any way if Mikel was that good at holding, why did Munich break through our midfield and have so many shots on goal? Because he ain't good enough

Carefree, i normally agree with your posts but saying that mikel only had one good game is so far off. His second half of the season was his best ever and he deserved his spot in the team. To the unamed poster who said mikel isnt good enough, are you right in the head? Bayern constantly broke through our defence because rdm chose to play defensively. Im tired of people praising torres(one of my favourite players)
but constantly saying mikel is crap or not good enough. He played well last season and can ony get better.

i dont mind merieles to be honest he cemented our place past benfice when to be honest benfice were lookin at nicking another goal

hes been quite solid all season i would love essien to stay but im afraid everyones right and hes not the player he used to be bad times

I think Chelsea should exploit spurs managerial situation by getting Gareth bale as an alternative to hulk (especially at the money being demanded for hulk) as he is already proven in the premier league plus he will provide us with natural width and direct speed and a good ball in. I believe Kyle walker will also be a great signing as we need a right back. I am aware that he signed a new contract in January, but that was when Spurs were challenging for the title! He was arguably the best right back in the prem last year plus won the young player of year award, and historically the winners of that award have gone on to become the best players in the the prem. Both these players would add British youngsters that have already proven themselves in the prem and would be great additions to the Chelsea squad. I understand that some chelsea fans will dislike the idea of signing spurs players but I feel they can easily be forgiven plus would be fan favourites for trading spurs for the mighty Blues!!

I completely agree with you. but, bale would probably cost the same if not more than hulk :/ would love to see bale in blue thoo

Bale is strictly a left sided player. We already have, Marin, hazard, malouda, debruyne, kakuta. BLUEBOY1

If you think Daniel levy will be an easier to work with than Porto you're foolin yourself. I agree with the above poster who said he's strictly left sided which I feel doesn't suit our play as that's where hazard and mata play if they don't play centrally. But I would love me some Kyle Walker.

Different league, different style of player. Quite difficult to make a comparison between those two.

Would be a good signing i'd say, plenty of european experience and scores alot of goals consistently, hope we get him. davecfc.

I'd definitely prefer Lewandowski to Huntelaar. Both score a lot of goals but I think Lewandowski has a better overall game, and I think he'd fit into our team nicely not just as back up for Torres, but as someone who might be good enough to push for a starting place as well. Would be good to have some competition up front next year.

Hi ed , this question is of your opinion and nothing else . Do you rate czech republic,s right back Gebre Selassie ? He,s been outstanding since the start of the tournament , reminds me of ramires with his energy to get up and down the flank , brilliant player ... {Ed002's Note - I tend not to rate players per se. Others may have an opinion.}

Never seen him play, apart from if he played against russia, but even then i didnt take notice lol BLUEBOY1

I can only judge him on his euros performances but I thought he was very impressive. Constantly making forward runs but his defence was also decent.

I live in Croydon and have seen a lot of Palace games and trust me Clyne is worth the hype. Very, very similar to Cole except he plays on the right. Very quick, strong, good in the air and has great positioning. He is at the moment a great prospect but their is a reason why Man U and Newcastle are linked with him. Very composed on the ball as well. He needs to work on crossing and maybe timing of his tackling but he will get better with age and I am pretty sure barring a miracle he will win a lot of caps for England.
He will also only cost a couple of million as he is out of contract so the only fee will be a compensation to Palace. He can be as good as Walker, we just need to train him up. Young, quick and has great potential. I believe he should be our new right back.

I'd take him over azpilicueta and vdw. I doubt any of the three will start over Ivanovic and that means you'll have time to groom him. With that said clyne is the youngest and can also achieve the status of a homegrown player. Clyne also proves to be the best physically in my opinion. If we don't get walker or Richards I say go for clyne.

According to my very reliable source, Chelsea have agreed a fee Real Madrid Attacking Midfielder Kaka who will sign for £25 million and is on a 4 year contract. This source told me before everyone knew that Hazard would join Chelsea. My source has also told me that Chelsea have had a £15 million bid rejected for Arsenal's Theo Walcott.
