The thing with mahrez is Leicester averaged the lowest possession in the league last season, off the top of my head about 35%, meaning they counter attacked a lot when the teams where stretched, my only concern is can he do it when his team have 65% possession and the team he's playing got 10!men behind the ball defending for there lives, I would not take him over hazard pedro or Willian, that's the way I see it.

Pinky you've missed my point, when Leicester counter attacked against teams, most of the teams had committed to many forward trying to break Leicester down, so mahrez would receive the ball no all the time but a lot of the time in 1 on 1 situations out wide, so if he beats a man he's in the box ready to shoot or pass, but last season if we had 65%! possesion, let's say hazard would receive the ball on the half way line then whack 2 men straight on him with 8 more goal side even if hazard got passed the initial 2, then he would still have 2 banks of 4 between him and the goal, if hazard played for Leicester last season and had all that space he would probably got 30 league goals 30 assists and been a major contender for the ballon dor, point is mahrez will struggle teams sit deep.

I just can't see Mahrez as a Conte type player - Conte wants all of his forward players to work back and Mahrez doesn't do that (I also think it may become a problem with Hazard under Conte) .

If there is the slightest truth to the rumour of Everton being interested in Begovic, I hope the club tells them to piss off.

It's ok when they want one the club's players but when we want one of their's, they are asking the F. A. to fine us and accusing us of tapping up their player.

These maher rumours are starting to build steam just like the Kante signings did he would be an awesome signing if we got him slot him into the role of Oscar or who ever else played that attacking mid role last season.

Chalobah, why waste money, we have just bought Kante and have a replacement to promote from our youth. Everyone allways complains about not using what we've got, perfect time to do so. The money we get from Matic should thgen cover most of the Kante transfer.

We wouldn't really need to replace him, if we play 2 in midfield he won't start it will be fabregas and Kante with mikel and cheek as cover, if he stays it will be as a rotation, squad member not first 11 player, I'm not sure what to make of him he had an awesome 2/ 3rds of the season when we won the league, then last season he looked like a championship player, 2 full seasons with us 1 good,1 shocking, I don't know how to judge him, is he at the quality of his good season or the quality of his bad season? , or somewhere in between the both? ,

Conte mentioned Kante, Matic and Mikel as necessary players, so it doesn't mean that any of 2 from 3 mentioned will leave.
If read ed002 replies we will sign 1 CD and 1 or 2 strikers depending on Costa.
Personally I believe it will be Icardi.

I was more thinking that Mikel would leave regardless. He's like 4th choice behind Matic, Kante and Fabregas and potentially even behind RLC; depending on how Conte rates him.

Also I brought up Saul as both him and his agent want a move to the PL and have approached Chelsea and another club, so just thought perhaps Mikel + Matic out, Saul in and either Chalobah or RLC given more game time.

I have to say that I'd be really disappointed if we were to let Matic go. In his first season with us he reached a level that Mikel never has. Granted last season he was poor, but none of the players came out of that season with any sort of credibility. Put him in front of the defense in a three man midfield he will dominate.
