Gutted Jose has gone but feel as though the problems began when his transfer targets where not bought in. I personally believe it's a mistake as there isn't a decent manager available to bring new ideas to the club. I think the top target would be simeone but his style of management is very similar to Jose. Whoever comes in needs a huge injection of cash and I hope involves the likes of loftus cheek a lot more.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

18 Dec 2015 03:03:53
We don't realky need that muh cash injection, just change the style of play. And as our PL season is written off we can try to give youngsters a chance.

I hear Emenalo stating "the palpable discord" between the manager and players was the reason for why JM had to leave.
I agree with Emenalo that the players cannot be blamed and I agree they shed tears and blood to win last year. However, as a board member he can't publicly blame the players otherwise this would be catastrophic. So I think it's right that he backs the players to have them on side.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Elmenalo never wants to meet me he's rubbish and does nothing for us.

Agree0 Disagree2

18 Dec 2015 04:02:14
While I don't disagree with what you said, I think this development shows that we may have to get used to the revolving managerial door. With the way the players contracts work, it's simply too hard for the board to back the manager over the players, so they'll win every time.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Dec 2015 22:13:27
It is easy to accused players of not showing professionalism, when a manager in his entire career never shown an aota of it. always tried to divert and point responsibilities and blames to players, medics etc. what had chased him from r. madrid has strike again. and why should madrid want him back for, when ronaldo, ramos etc still plays?

Emenalo says it was due to 'discord' within the Club that led to the sacking implying it was caused by Jose; that's going to be an interesting story to find out. Players visibly not trying is not an excuse whatever the discord.

It is quite obvious that was has happened is awful (in my opinion) . But in an attempt to try and think to the future I was wondering who people would like to get as manager (s) in the following scenarios.
A) we have an interim and get a replacement in the summer
B) we get a permanent manager now.

Jose had to go for me. yes I agree the players left him down but I also feel he left himself and his reputation down this time around at cfc. The campaign the refs had against Chelsea was the most pathetic excuse iv ever seen a manager use.

The whole Eva scenario was embarrassing and the fact he was blaming everyone bar himself made him look like a selfish man who didn't wanna take the blame for a loss. remember the disaster he had at Madrid falling out with half the dressing room I no longer feel he posses that man management skill he was once so good at. remember he blamed hazard for our loss in semi final of cl against athletico he would of never done that in the previous era.

club legend for sure but never seemed like the same guy second time around . my 1 thing I want to see from who comes in is try and progress the talent our youth team has over next few years surely rlc needs more game time he would do better than the current crop .

will miss mourinho but for me ra made the right decision no big club in the world would of given the manger this long into the season after all that has happened and given our position I think they truly felt things weren't going to turn and maybe hazard was the final straw v Leicester.

hazard should be sold of it turns out he came off cause he didn't want to play for Jose but let's get together now again as a team and as fans and back the new manager and ra's decision because don't forget only for our sugar daddy we would be a kid table team and wouldn't have enjoyed such success long live Roman. forever we'll remember Jose our special one for sure๐Ÿ‘.

17 Dec 2015 19:56:33
Everything started with Eva Carneiro, majority on this page didn't understand potential consequences ATT so I got a lot of abuse from some eds and some of blinded Mourinho worshipers. If you lose dressing room you cannot expect to manage the club successfully.

Agree1 Disagree1

17 Dec 2015 22:01:03
I think every Chelsea fan will always have that special connection with Jose but as I said previously his change in character started at Madrid fighting with Pepe and casillas and co in the press and it has continued at Chelsea the second time blaming referees doctors etc.

also his first season back he slated hazard after cl semi v athletico I thought it was a bold move but it worked last season but the point is he would of never done that at Porto or Chelsea first time around or inter mourinho was known for man management skills like no other reading games stamping out opponents qualities but you could see all season he has looked strained and never looked happy and although people say it's because he didn't get pogba or griezman it doesn't really matter now.

I'm sad to see him go out like this do its something we would of never expected but you could see all season taking terry off v city taking matic off 15 minutes after putting him on in a another game dropping hazard dropping that tramp Costa sorry for my French the players are pros they should be taking a rap aswell but we no that's never the case . IN JOSE WE ALWAYS TRUSTED LOVED BY ALL MEMORIES WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

17 Dec 2015 17:19:41
Bye bye to a horrible little man who has no class and never gives any teams credit. He can only manage billionaire clubs at the top if he thinks he is so special why don't he gave a crack at villa or see if he could turn Everton into title contenders but he won't as those jobs ar challenging. Actually Inter was in financial trouble after Mourinho left.
Let me remind you that he signed Eto'o, Sneider, Lusio and Milito for a lot of money. These are only few names that I recall instantly. He also sold Ibrahimovic but that was financially very good move for Inter.

Agree2 Disagree1

17 Dec 2015 21:36:31
You probably want to see how many players Jose brought into Porto to win that treble.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2015 22:03:11
Sorry to burst your bubble but mourinho got 45 million and etoo for zlatan ibrahimovich so he didn't actually spend much militio was not an expensive signing nor was sneijder keep in mind sneijder was a flop at Madrid so they actually got him for a handy price I would be confident he brought all them and maybe one or 2 more out of the money for the ivrahimovicj deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Dec 2015 10:07:48
Bonnucci, Mancini, jiminez, muntari, queresma, lucio, etoo, arnautovic, sneijder, pandev, among just a few of the names brought in under Jose. I don't think the Zlatan money went that far, take into account wages, agent fees blah blah, you've got some big spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Dec 2015 16:59:37
As gutted as I am that Jose is no longer our manager, probably for the best for him in the long run. the way this club is run it is impossible for anyone to stay long term the next manager will be the same.
Also as angry and disgusted as I am with the players I actually feel sorry for them as they have to look themselves in the mirror everyday and justify their lack of effort for the team and lack of respect for the fans.
When their children grow up and look back on their Dad's careers they will be faced with the reality that they are a bunch of limp wristed, spineless and gutless cowards who were only every interested in the money.

Are you Chelsea or Mourinho fan. No one is bigger than the club!

Agree1 Disagree1

17 Dec 2015 16:52:28
I have been thinking about this post for a while now and keeping myself in check for it, but after today- I feel it is best to say it.
I'll happily admit, I lack football talent naturally. But I work bloody hard on the pitch and never give up. This is my only pre-requisite for a signing- give it all and never just stroll around collecting a paycheck.
Too many of the current squad are happy to just do this. I can only think of 6 players in the squad who I think are blameless right now: Kenedy, RLC, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Begovic and Courtois. For me these are the only players that have shown passion and desire all season. I don't care if Hazard thinks he is the best player in the league, I don't care if Costa wants out back to Spain, I don't care if Cesc Fabregas thinks he can just coast through games on reputation- that isn't good enough for me. If I were in charge, I would be getting every member of the squad who has underperformed this season and asking if they are truly committed to the Chelsea cause. If they answered 100% yes- I'd ask them to prove it on the pitch and start showing some bloody passion, if they wavered, faltered or answered no, then I'd be shipping them out in January, whether it was Hazard or Costa or even JT. You might be important players, but no one is bigger than the club.
Today we have made a massive decision- our transfer plans for January will be totally changing and suddenly players might not be interested in joining us without the Jose factor. I just pray whoever comes in will gwt the best out of who wants to play- and if that leads to a group of youngsters becoming 1st teamers ahead of some of the prima donnas we have right now, then so be it.
Rant over.

Why o why did they let him go? If it becomes known that any of the players didn't put in a shift intentionally, with would lose all respect for them and hope they get kicked out of the club.

The only reason I blame Jose is for playing the same players Iver and over again, it's a shame but he shot himself on the foot.

That said I wish him the beat and though will never see him at the dugout on our end I hope someday he returns in some quantity cause this is his home and he is a legend.

Have to agree, he seems to be untouchable, keeps on signing talented young players and farming them out on loan never to be seen in a Chelsea shirt then they come back to haunt us.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Dec 2015 16:56:02
I think you are not fair to Emenalo. We have had the best signing of players in the last 5yrs and to confirm this most have gone on to be big in other clubs and we have not made losses of these players until Jose came and started signing players without playing them. then he started signing player who are 26yrs+ with no resale value and less room for improvement.

I'm going to be at the Sunderland game on Saturday and I'm looking forward to seeing whether the fans do indeed cheer for Jose. I'm sad to see him go and let's face it there's very few if any managers that are going to help us in this situation.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Dec 2015 16:28:20
I haven't been as outspoken recently as I was just saying the same things and I didn't want to just keep repeating myself.

I am sad to see Mourinho go. Brilliant manager but I think in the end it was getting very frustrating watch the same thing over and over. Ultimately the players must shoulder the blame but Mourniho also for not changing things. We keep talking about our young players and people are divided (some think they are going to be world beaters already and others think they weren't ready and we were being deluded into thinking they are better than they are) . In all likely hood it was somewhere in between. and 2 further simple points must be stated - firstly, they do have talent and they couldn't do any worse than the players he played e. g. anyone who thought RLC couldn't do a job instead of Fabregas needs their head examined. Secondly, they would have shown a bit of desire and heart. that was my frustration. people can agree or disagree. and that's what its all about but seriously, some players didn't deserve to be on the picture and it was crying out to just give our youth a chance. its like, season was ruined within the first month, no pressure, show us what you can do.

Blimey, oh dear and just when we thought we had a manager for the long term. Am not convinced that there is anyone better than JM, even if he does appear to suffer from third season dip and the Eva Carneiro incident was an early indicator of what has been his poorest season ever. But am not convinced that Ancelotti any better, though may be best bet as caretaker though Hiddink the bookies favourite (but how old is he now? ) . Share some doubts too re. Pep G. given thathe inherited excellent teams at both Barcelona and BM, but I suppose he has not fallen out with too many players, it would seem. My view was that JM should have at least been given until the end of the season to turn things around. Pity Klopp gone to LFC. Simeone a possibility in future perhaps.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Dec 2015 04:07:03
I was just reading the transcript of Jose's interview with Chelsea TV and I can't help agreeing with him, at least the bit I have read:

"Some of them need to rethink the way they live Chelsea, the way they live football, they live their job, " he told Chelsea TV.

"Chelsea is big, football is more than a job, it's a passion. Every match on the pitch you should live with an unbelievable passion.

"How many millions would love to be football players and they can't be? You shouldn't waste any minutes on the pitch, you should enjoy every minute and you should give absolutely everything.

"Yes, I feel frustrated with some players and I feel that some others give absolutely everything and don't deserve to lose. "

That is exactly what I think watching the Chelsea players - they are not trying hard enough and giving their all. Whether it is the right thing for the manager to say or not is a different matter.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

17 Dec 2015 06:30:46
I have to agree with you Ed, the biggest thing that has struck me watching us over the past calendar year is that the players really don't seem to go for it anymore. Great teams keep pushing if they're down 2 or up 3, but Chelsea seem content to putter on at the same tepid tempo regardless of the circumstances these days.

It makes me think back to discussions I've heard here and among other chelsea fans, about who will be our next captain - and I think it's really telling there isn't really a strong feeling that anyone could step up into JT's shoes, or Drogba's or Lampard's.

Excellent. More importantly I think with his facetious remark about Hazard's injury he was in the forefront of his mind as many other observers have highlighted the fact he did not look up for the fight and almost took himself off.

I have to disagree with all the above comments because with the exception of one or two players who are new we've seen these same players show character and play hard for a few years, some before Jose came back, so what's the problem now and why has it lingered so long unfixed? And who's job is it to inspire, motivate and put them in a position to succeed or make the RIGHT changes when necessary? At a pretty good salary at that.

17 Dec 2015 18:38:30
Mourinho is famed for deflecting attentions and blames. He always blame others for his failures rather than accept them. He had continued to features players that out of form like Ivanovic, Fabregas instead of trying other players who couldn't have been worse. Also he's not flexible with his tactics, playing same even when results are nosediving.

Mourinho has lost his dressing room and rightly so in as much as we won't admit because of our fondness for him. Every Chelsea fan a cause to love Mourinho including me but we support CFC first and as such undstand that he's not d best to take us forward for many reasons. A few include brand of play, not developing arrays of talents, bad media and consequent hate of our club, prone to internal/squad fallouts, not suited for long term
