I was told some time ago that JT had a contract in front of him that he was likely to sign. So, I'm gutted he is leaving but life goes on.
Just wondering, has JT already signed a pre-contract with any overseas club?

Mate, do you make it up as you go along? I said JT was being released this Summer.

G8, I suggest you check my historic posts. I stated that JT had been offered a dual purpose contract (not Conte's No2) and I was told in all probability he would sign that contract.
I'm sad he has decided not sign it but I respect his reasons.

Just wondering what everyone's opinions are on who will make it furthest out of our youth academy. Personally I see Abraham, Loftus-Cheek and Christensen being the main ones.

ABRAHAM is the one I'm loving the most. He seems hungriest, seems to have a fantastic attitude and is the most grounded. The most important this he scores goals. He has a good technique for his age and will only get stronger and better. I'd love to see him take Michy's place next season Conte really needs to trust him.

LOFTUS-CHEEK is the most talented and the player I like to watch the most. He has really improved when given game time ahead of Conte. His dribbling has gone to another level. But he needs a season of first team football to improve. I'd like to see him go to Bournemouth.

CHRISTENSEN is probably the one who's impressing the most. He's been a rock for Borussia the past two years. A fantastic ball playing centre back. If he improves his strength he could be great. I just think the German or Spanish leagues would suit his game more.

BAKER is one I'd like to see in the squad next season possibly as an impact player as he has an eye for goal and is very good with both feet.

CHALOBAH is one who I've been really impressed with since his return it's just a shame he can't get more game time due to all our remaining games being cup finals but I personally think he offers more now than what Matic does.

AKE I think will be a fantastic squad player for us. Left footed and strong in the tackle he will be a great rotation option.

Seeing Mbappe and Rashford hit heights shows why we need to trust these guys. Abraham could have a similar impact to both of them. And Loftus-Cheek could have a better impact than Dele Alli further forward And Christensen is probably better than any other young centre back out there.

What does everyone think?

They are all talented kids, the most important thing is game time, try not to see this as being negative but I don't think any of them will be world class or near that level, I think they could be squad players or play for a mid table premiership team. , what we need to take into consideration is who our rivals are in England and Europe, take Abraham for example tearing the championship up in a team near the bottom, bear in mind Patrick bamford was championship player of the season, I think he could be squad player though, let's say we want to win the champions league, well usually the best team in Europe wins that or the luckiest, look at the top teams strikers in Europe psg -cavani, juventus -higuiem, Barcelona - Suarez
Munich - lowendoski, Dortmund -Aubameyang, Madrid - Benzima, Atleti - Greissmen, you can do the same with there midfielders and defenders also, they are all world class players basically, will Abraham be as good as them or better? , sadly not so how can we compete and win against better players?, we have to match them quality wise, I don't think Lewis baker will be as good as modric, or veratti, I don't think christenson will be as good as Sergio Ramos or Thiago silva or Hummels or bonucci ect, same as chalobah and loftus cheek, they could be decent squad players that haven't cost us a transfer fee, and all come through together, we could use them the same way Utd use to use Nicky butt, phill Neville, john O'Shea ect very good homegrown squad players, but sadly if our ambitions are to win premiership titles and European titles, the majority of our youngsters will not be good enough to play regularly for us every week, I really really hope I'm wrong of corse I hope they all become world class, it's head vs heart.

I. Understand the club/ Conte are very happy to have Lewis Baker in the squad next year.
I think Ruben (Bournmouth) and Tammy (Brighton) may well be out on loan next year.
The others will remain or join the first team squad!

When Barcelona gave chance to their academy players look what they become we just need to trust ourss because they are extremely good they can be as good as any other world class player. Trust is the key.

hard to take yesterday but that's football and makes the league and the game so. exciting. not so much for us at the moment being chelsea fans as spurs are not that far behind us.

yestersay problems

1.
proves conte needs to trust the rest of his squad.

2. our team in that formation is unbalanced without Alonso on the left (all u haters) he does a decent job there.

3.
Dave can not play rwb and in my eyes is pur best cb at the moment. when ever he has moved out of position we have looked terrible.

4.
ake should have started lwb . why start zouma . who has been out for a year over a player whos had a great season before. coming back to cfc (makes no sense)
ake cahil luiz dave moses (should of been)

5. players did not look up for it.

6. costa needs dropping since january due to all. this china talk. costas head has been all. over the place.
if it was me. if be playing a play that
A. wants to play for us and
B. will be there next year!

Good post Wheely. When a team loses its all about how they react. Last season under Jose and Guss the players failed to react on several occasions but this season we are different outfit.

We are four points clear with four home games left. Every team in the prem would love to be in our position.

Next week we play Spurs in a semi and I expect us to react and win easily.
Come on the Chelsea.

It is not so much the loss but how we lose. Crystal Palace was ok as we had many chances. But this one, we looked like mugs. Almost embarrasing really for a team top of the PL. Jekyl and Hide syndrome. We need to sort this out.

Raver, how did you feel last year when you had the chance to win the league for the first time in many years?

Byrrab: Sensible post. We lost and lost completely. We just did not turn up and as said earlier, the team looked unbalanced and Hazard cannot do it on his own as Costa has gone missing lately. The Tottenham game is very important to put doubt in their minds as currently they are the most impressive team in the league and a win for us swings the pendulum back our way. On recent form I cannot see us winning all our remaining games.
