Damn just saw that Van Ginkel got subbed off during the first half. Hope he didn't reinjure his knee or something. Another injury to that knee could be catastrophic. Does anybody know?

Saw the first half, he got stretched off, let's hope it looks worse than it actually is, shame though cause I only tuned in to watch him. Nando scired, happy for him.

Braintreegooner on arsenal site reckons he was happy with weekend results as all the competition dropped points I presume he means spurs everton looserpool and utd as in compitition for 3rd or 4th .

I wouldn't say its our defence that is the problem, it is the players in front of it. We need a defensive midfielder so Cesc can go play behind the striker.

Thanks ed, and I do mate ^, midfeild partner is a problem for matic, but I don't think Gary Cahill is good enough for us in high line at all, and terry is way too old.

When city have Kompany and Mangala, I'm a tad jealous, there seems to be a shortage of Top quality centre backs now.

I think JT was a fantastic World class CB but age is catching him up. Cahill is a very good CB but nowhere near World Class and way behind the likes of Kompany and Mangala. We have Kalas and Christiansen as prospects and Zouma could be a beast if he gets a chance but I do think a ready made World class young CB is a priority now together with a top midfielder. Varanne and Pogba would be sensational but with FFP that's going to be difficult.

Totally agree with LRDIt. Cahill and Terry are still the best two centre halfs in the league just cause Mangala's had one good game doesn't mean he's brilliant.

I agree that a CM to partner Matic is a priority this is why I don't understand why we loaned van Ginkel out because he's physical good all round and then we could move Cesc to no.10 to be closer to Hazard and Costa where it now seems we're best. I'd like to see us make a move for Khedira seen as he's close to the end of his contract him being the runner and Matic holding should sort us out.
