So guys, a little banter if you will,
Daley Blind
Ricardo Rodriguez
Marcos Rojo
Luke Shaw
Felipe Luis
Georgi Sheninkov

One of those six could be our left back come the start of the season, who is your choice and why? I'll start things off and say Ricardo Rodriguez, 21 years old, a type of Jose player. Strong, quick, defensively solid and boy he has a cultured left foot on him. Daley Blind or Luke Shaw second choice ( if his price comes down a bit).

Shaw is over priced and overrated and at this moment not good enough, if victor Moses is toughest opponent then champions league is a long way off. Luis is brilliant but price and age maybe not most practical,, blind I've seen once so wouldn't want to comment. Rodriguez ice only seen few more times but age and price I'd go for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately Rodriguez looks like he might end up at Inter. Haven't seen much of Blind or Sheninkov to comment on whether they'd be good signings. And whilst it was only one game, I was impressed with Rojo last night. In an ideal world my preference would be Rodriguez, Moreno, Shaw/Rojo. Luis should be a last option IMO.

Rodriguez by far d best bunch. He ticks all the boxes. Shaw is overrated and overpriced.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't forgett Chelsea has a lack of homegrown players, Shaw first option. Rodriguez second, Luis third option.

Shaw (the players voted him as the best in the league and their opinion is better than mine). Then I'd go Rodriguez, as he puts up silly numbers as a full back. Luis doesn't make sense with his age. Blinds had one good game and I haven't seen much of the others.

Agree0 Disagree0

For me it would be Shaw (if available at a reasonable price) then wouldn't mind between Rodriguez or Luis. The others I haven't seen much of.

If we do bring in Costa. will Mourinho be looking for another striker? If yes, who is he interested in buying? Thanks Ed

Ed, are Chelsea still interested in Kroos regardless of Fabregas signing? I mean, is he someone they'll go for even if everyone in midfield stays or is the move conditioned on Ramires or Oscar leaving? Cheers

Ed is there any news on a potential LB signing?

Whilst I'm not one to belive everything I read in newspapers, or anything on twitter, we are being linked to left backs all over the place. This leads me to think the club is still keeping it's options very much open.

Just watching the World Cup there seem to be a few better, younger, options than Fillipe Luis.
