anyone know what the "right to play" slogan was about last season and will it be used on the chelsea shirt this year?

If nothing happen in the next 2 or three days and there is on compromise on Porto's part or on Cavani's part then we have to try and sign Lorente as the second out and out striker.A great player will complement Torres and will be awesome upfront with Torres.We could then play the way city played 3-5-2.I am saying this because waiting to sign Cavani or Hulk till deadline day might cost us the league as waiting for Modric did last season.Lorente is a very very good striker as good as if not better than Cavani and he is available ,so why are we not going in for him?A fee of around 30 mill euros would be enough to secure his services.

Are you serious, the players did everything they could, the fact is avb got it all wrong from the tactics to man management, you cannot play a high line with a defender who likes to burst forward and another too slow to run from the half way to his own goal, you also can't leave out drogba and not tell him why, and he did this with everyone.

Quite funny watching some of us squabble over which player we want brought in EG Hulk and Cavani. Its like somebody buying me a Ferrari and i start moaning about how i dont like the colour.
Both bring different strenghts and we can debate about who would benefit us more, but bottom line is both are world class and we should just sit and appreciate if either 1 does arrive

Curt, he said we 'could' not we 'should'. There is a difference. What he's trying to say is he doesn't understand why it matters which one of the two is brought it. I for one disagree with what he said as I believe Hulk and Cavani's play styles to be completely different, and so I find it understandable that people have debates over which one they'd prefer to sign, although personally I'd be happy with either. However I don't believe he deserved your sarcastic response and definitely believe that you should understand what's being said before you try and belittle someone.

Hey ED18 do you know if Marin will be fit enough to regain his position in the squad at the weekend against Wigan? Plus obviously you are not the manager but with your issues with Mikel, do you think with a fully fit squad Mikel won't be in RDM's first choice 11? {Ed018's Note - I have heard nothing on Marin. Maybe in the press conference RDM will say. Mikel is gonna play. I would think Essien and Mikel would probably rotate somewhat, with that said I'd expect Mikel to probably start against Wigan}

we all talk about bringing creativity int the midfield of chelsea for a long time now.....even after two creative players like mata and hazard we were still not able to do that,the reason simply being jon obi mikel.now don't get me wrong here, mikel is a very good player but his style of play is "anti-creative" and this is just the way it is.He pegs back the game to such an extent that the flair factor is nowhere to be seen...we need a bit of creativeness in the defensive mid too(just a little bit)...some one like lucas(liverpool) would be really a delight.....david luiz looks like the man for the job to me.any thoughts??
Romeu looks perfectly suited to that role, he's a good passer of the ball and is great at reading the game, if he stays fit he should be able to nail down the position as his own

I am beginning to edge towards the opinion that Chelsea should drop any interest in both Hulk and Cavani. Porto are, as always, proving very difficult to deal with and Cavani's wage demands are, if true, just ridiculous! We shouldn't be held to ransom by either club or player in any transfer deal - something that I also feel is being done by Wigan in the Victor Moses transfer. A continual interest in these players will only lead to other clubs believing they can do the same.
We have had a good, progressive summer as far as our dealings in the transfer market this season adding depth and quality to areas that had been lacking in previous seasons. Lets make a stand against the stupid money these clubs and players want and tell them we are no longer interested, there is plenty of quality out there; Lewandowski, Llorente to name but two. As for Victor Moses…I'd rather bring Scott Sinclair back to the bridge…but would favour a physical central midfielder over both.

£15+mil for a fourth/third choice striker at best. Are you mad? I wonder how much you value say Cisse and Ba of Newcastle seeing as they have both got impressive records in previous years. If you look at Kalou's scoring record it is also pretty impressive but you have to consider that these fringe players are generally brought on when the team is in a comfortable position and therefore have a greater chance of scoring.

Yeah prem colours are white/black/blue/ or red on the back of shirts. Gold is the club's design for preseason and champions league
I think portsmouth wore gold numbers/letters in the prem a couple years ago.

Heading to Wigan this weekend (although Ill be sitting in the cheap seats (the Wigan fans seats)...
Bit pessimistic though about our chances of controlling the game without an energetic midfielder in the middle to hassle and harry...
Hope Hazard has a good one and Torres is in confident form after a classy finish at the weekend...
And in an ideal world wouldnt it be good if we could eliminate one of their best players from facing us by finishing up the deal FFS...

Dont understand why people rate RVP so much. He has had one good season and two mediocre. For a player with only a year left on his contract £24mil is a lot and i don't see how he will fit into united's system. The Rooney Welbeck partnership was good last year and they have a number of back ups. I doesn't seem good business to me, Surely Fergie needs a replacement for Scholes more than he needs another striker.
